DOCTOR WHO Theme - Melting Clocks Jack Guidera 2025-06-07 | Whenever we get a new Doctor, I make a new theme arrangement that captures my feelings about the show's current state and the direction I'd like to see it take next. This is what "The Reality War" and the Fifteenth Doctor's regeneration has spawned.My intention with this arrangement was to return to the eeriness of Delia Derbyshire's original and amplify it even more. I wanted it to be the sort of theme tune that would fit a series of "claustrophobic ghost stories," which seems to be the direction we're heading in. Then I remembered the workprint of Rose, which had a Tom Baker(-ish) remix of the original theme. Since this arrangement also has a retro Tom Baker vibe, I figured it'd be a good fit!Also decided to make a quick closing theme when I was putting the video together; I'll admit, it's a little rough since I tossed it together in my video editing software, haha.
Doctor Who 55th Anniversary Theme - Delia Derbyshire Master-tape Version Jack Guidera 2018-11-23 | A recreation of the original 1963 theme from DOCTOR WHO, originally realized by Delia Derbyshire and Ron Grainer. I tried to capture the sound of Ms. Derbyshire's arrangement, but with a slightly darker atmosphere.This version is specifically based on the demo "master-tape" version, which went unused on TV, but was later reworked into the updated 1967 and 1970 theme tunes. Samples of the original bassline "pluck" and hiss/drone SFX are used, while the melody, emphasis and underlying synth bassline are all recreations done by me.

(And I must say, she's looking good for her age!)This is a recreation of Delia Derbyshire's original televised arrangement of the theme tune, and I tried to capture as many of the little idiosyncrasies as I could. (Such as the melody being slightly out-of-sync, the placement of all the various sound effects, and the early fade-out transition used during the William Hartnell days.)Enjoy!

DOCTOR WHO - Thirteenth Doctor Titles Sequence Jack Guidera 2017-07-27 | In honor of the new Doctor, Jodie Whittaker, I decided to make a flashy new titles sequence! (It helps that I'm taking an After Effects class at the moment.) The design is inspired by some of the Classic Who openings, specifically the 1974 and 1980 variations. In general, I wanted to get back to a more classic feel, especially in terms of the theme. Everything in the sequence, minus the opening "sting" sound effect and (obviously) the photo of Jodie Whittaker are entirely made by me. Doctor Who Theme (1970 Opening Titles Variation) - Atmospheric version Jack Guidera 2016-01-12 | I was messing around and put together this version of the Jon Pertwee/Tom Baker opening theme, with more of a moody, atmospheric vibe. I also tried to capture some of the Delia Derbyshire feel, while at the same time trying to have a more synthetic sound in the piece. My two main inspirations soundwise were: -"Derbyshire 1980" by Marinedalek, specifically the opening titles mix-The "Unbound" theme specifically the version by Lee MansfieldI also added some visuals from the '70 opening titles sequence, laid over a concept Doctor Who logo I designed.
