Dont Forget | Warriors OC AMV Rykett 2019-06-09 | Ever since I heard this song after finishing Deltarune, I knew I wanted to do something with it. Then Spiderash died... and I wanted to make something small about his death. In my search for a short, cute, sad song, I rediscovered "Don't Forget" and knew it was perfect! I've done a pmv focused on Brackenheart and Spiderash before. That one details the beginning of their relationship while this one explores the end.Anyways, story explanation time! Brackenheart was expecting kits when Spiderash was murdered by the ShadowClan leader and deputy, Wrenstar and Shadefur. They hid his body, so to ThunderClan, Spiderash just seemed to disappear. His greatest desire in life was to become a father, but he has to watch from StarClan as his kits grow up without him and Brackenheart struggles, alone.In other news, this will be my last video for a long time. Woman Like Me - Warriors OC PMV Rykett 2018-12-31 | I started/had the idea for this PMV a while ago when Swiftsnow was talking about how this song matched Brackenheart. I found a really nice of cover that I wanted to use and sketched the first few images. Then I let it sit for months… and decided to turn it into some sort of late Christmas gift for Swiftsnow! I thought that a lineless style might be a little easier and faster to do. I was wrong, but I decided to keep going and finish it up and it took so much longer than I would’ve liked. But now it’s done and looks okay.You might also notice I experimented with the palette. All the colors (except eye colors) in this PMV are actually the same hue, but with differing brightnesses and saturations. It worked really well for some cats’ designs, but not so well for others… (*cough cough* Acornbloom and Mottlescar *cough* they look naked *cough cough*). The grey cats just looked normal, so I tried to give them a slightly more saturation, but I’m not sure if it worked.Anyways, story explanation: Brackenheart was a ShadowClan apprentice who got in trouble with her leader, Brindlestar, for speaking out against her. Brackenpaw was banished from ShadowClan and was later welcomed into ThunderClan by the leader, Grizzlestar. She faced initial distrust and missed her home. Most eventually grew to trust her as she gained her warrior name except for one suspicious tom named Spiderash. Unfortunately, Brackenheart developed a crush on him. She started spending more time around him and one day, he voiced his distrust, hurting Brackenheart’s feeling. After some thought and conversations with other cats, Brackenheart decides to confess her feelings to Spiderash which takes by complete surprise. He’s unwilling to admit his own growing attraction to her and Brackenheart tries to prove her affection by cuddling him. Animal | Warriors OC PMV Rykett 2018-12-26 | Another late-ish Christmas gift! :D This one's for Glo-babe! I know that you liked the idea of doing a PMV with this song! I hope this video lives up to what you had in mind! :)Story-time! So Foxjaw has a hostile relationship with his two siblings, Birchpaw and Brindlepaw, especially Brindlepaw. Things really start to go downhill after their aunt, Newtpurr, is killed by a ThunderClan cat, their mother, Berrystripe goes searching for revenge, but only succeeds in joining her sister in death. Due to Berrystripe's death, Redstar, their father, becomes slightly unhinged because of his grief. In his unstable state, he promotes Foxjaw to warrior before Birchpaw and Brindlepaw, causing an even greater gap to grow between them. In a moment of clarity, Redstar decides he's unfit for leadership and leaves ShadowClan and his kits behind. All of the kits mourn, but the relationship between Foxjaw and Brindlepaw has grown too tense for them to comfort each other.This PMV is a much different tone than most of the PMVs I've done recently, but it was fun to experiment with! ^^ I chose not to differentiate the characters by their markings this time, instead, they're lined in their eye color. I also decided to give Brindlepaw more of an oriental style muzzle so she takes after her father. Fool | Warriors OC PMV Rykett 2018-12-26 | This is a Christmas Gift for my close friend, Mac! I heard this song and it reminded me of Runningsky, so I slapped this together in about 24 hours in time for Christmas.Now for the premise/story for those who are wondering! ^^ Runningsky is one of two medicine cats in ShadowClan. After caring for a wounded apprentice named Snowpaw, he falls in love with her. Snowpaw is later tragically killed by a weasel. Snowpaw's older sister Hazelgaze is the other medicine cat and looks similar to her. Runningsky and Hazelgaze get together, but it's not a true love or healthy relationship. Hazelgaze has Runningsky's kits and keeps their father secret from the rest of the clan, but their existence causes her to be demoted from medicine cat. Hazelgaze and Runningsky's relationship grows basically hostile. Runningsky decides to leave ShadowClan and shares his decision with the deputy, Weaselfeet, who escorts him out of the territory. Rainbow Connection | Warriors OC PMV Rykett 2018-11-05 | I've always wanted to finish a full PMV. I have so many ideas for PMVs and AMVs, but I start a few of them and finish even fewer of thos. It's so satisfying to finally complete one!I really want to do more of these! Perhaps, I'll even open a commission slot for a PMV. I don't know yet. My schoolwork kinda suffered while I was working on this, so I probably won't be doing that for a while...Anyways, I hope I was able to correctly convey my message and story. If you're confused or just want to confirm your theories, lemme explain it!So Sorrelpaw doesn't feel like he fits in with anyone in WindClan. He hates being the center of attention, unlike the other apprentices. He hates feeling like an outsider in his own Clan. A shadow hangs over him as he considers taking a dark path to prove himself. The rainbow represents the healthy path to becoming a better cat. Exeunt | 24 hour Warriors MAP - Part 6 Rykett 2018-05-27 | OH GOSH!!!! I did it! Time to throw confetti everywhere! Wheee!!! I wanted to try one of these more challenging maps, and boy was this challenging! But with only one sleepless night, I actually managed to meet the deadline!Since there's some lip movement without any actual speech, I'll tell you guys what the cats are saying. Que the script!Nutstar: "You will be known as Owldot!"WindClan members: "Owldot! Owldot! Owldot!"I totally made up Owldot on the spot. She's not one of my few Warrior OCs, but as I was animating this part, I came up with a whole internal dialogue for Owldot and with roles for the three warriors that are shown chanting her name. The white cat is Owldot's mom, the middle cat is Nutstar's brother, and the final cat is Owldot's mentor. All the cats got personalities too. Nutstar is a kind leader with a ton of maternal instincts, however, she's never had any kits. Also, Nutstar is based off my irl cat, Cocoa. Owldot's mom is a good mother, but quite demanding. She's incredibly proud to see her daughter become a warrior. Nutstar's brother is a loud, jolly cat. Owldot's mentor is a stern cat who doesn't smile often, but when he does, it's an extremely special occasion. (These three didn't get names... yet). Owldot, herself, is an energetic young cat whose small stature doesn't slow her down at all. However, she often doubts her ability and worth. Becoming a warrior has always been her dream.Whelp, I didn't have many warriors OCs... until this MAP.
