I cocked up at the very last minute in Dragon Valley when trying to transform ;3;
#noob
Also, AiAi seems to have had engine troubles in his own stage o3o;
This driving sections on this stage can be rather tricky IMO (Lap 2). It stars with a very forgiving, wide, long sweeping curve that splits to straight sections that has gaps and splits into multiple straight paths you can drive through, followed by the long sweeping, narrow spiral bridges that's not very wise to boost through, especially in my case using the Genesis Console Mod (Speed + Boost up, Handling + Accel down, basically Blast Processing Mod)
The aerial sections however, are very good to practice air drifting with, as there's a lot of very open corners in the air you can pull this off with :3
The stage also introduces the boat section, and the possibility of multiple open paths the player can take in the style of Sonic R
The music track selection and execution on this stage, a lyricless mashup of 'You can do Anything' and 'Super Sonic Racing' is enough to get my foot tapping and head bobbing X3c
It's catchy :3
It's not the most realistic of graphics or anything, it's the opposite really, taking on a very colourful, happy visual aesthetic that's very eye-popping (that glow!) :3c
The track itself is relatively simple, with little alternative paths as a huge portion of the driving section is done on the hardlight road
Also, the hardlight road = beautiful visually IMO :3
It's a mono coloured light emitting object with a surface texture pattern that continuously changes, and has a lot of sweeping curves that goes about the interstellar floats n.n/
That said, the sweeps do make for a risk of falling off of the track however, happened a few times before :3
Anyways, I have my reasons as to why I think this is Sonic's official stage in the game (With Egg Hangar belonging to Eggman and Metal Sonic, and Sky Sanctuary going to Knuckles, guess that leaves Shadow and Tails with Ocean View, or would Shadow belong to Egg Hangar too? o.O). It's the one stage from a game that's exclusively played through by Sonic and not by any of his other friends (though the same can be said for Egg Hangar, but let's think thematically here)
You'll probably see I'm not very good at flying stages, bumming around here are there as I crash into things XD
Played on my 3 year old Acer 3820TG laptop, which is specced up as such:
- Core i5 450m (Dual Core 2.4GHz)
- 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
- Mobility Radeon HD5650M w/ 1GB GDDR5 VRAM
- Game Res = 1366x768 Native
Kinda disappointed that NiGHTS is THE vehicle this time round, driven/piloted by a Nightopian (I think that's what it's called, can't remember, it's been more than a decade now XD), but it makes sense overall I guess, since NiGHTS is a dream creature, and it'll just fly all the way making it probably the most OP character in the game
It's Allstar Move is basically derivated from Super Sonic in the original Allstars Racing game, and NiGHTS reverts back to it's original/default form as he flies during the limited time period of the Allstar Move, with the action button seemingly speeding it up and ramming it into opponents directly in front of it
Also tried out a different, more time consuming rendering method for this video for my own archiving - Maximum bit-depth render, 2 pass encoding but at a lower bitrate, and also enabled frame blending to partially alleviate low frame rate issues (FRAPs usually records at 20-30 FPS, the game usually runs at 26FPS though when recorded through FRAPs)
Much better results overall in terms of image quality at lower bitrates, but my render times have been increased about 3 fold XD
Lucky I have both a laptop and desktop to be productive with :3
That said though, this game runs perfectly without FRAPs recording, and I really like how Sumo optimized this game to run on limited spec PCs/laptops despite how pretty it looks aesthetically (which brings up the point of photorealism VS aesthetic outlook IMO) which is very important in terms of immersiveness :3
And yeah, once again, I'm not very good with the predominantly flying stages, and gotta mention that the jumps in the water section of this stage feels somewhat buggy to say the least (totally messed up the last few jumps there) -3-
I just unlocked him, and after finishing the Scorching Skies World Tour, was pretty hyped up to check him out :3
It's only fitting to use him for play on his own stage right? :3c
The remix for Vyse's theme deserves special mention here - It's Epic!
Also, Dyne's ship the Albatross II, the Purple Gigas Rhaknam, Galcian's flagship the Hydra, De'Loco's Cygnus, the Monoceros, numerous Valuan battleships and even the the main SoA crew's Delphinus flagship make an appearance here! n.n/
Eh... You guys can probably tell I'm gushing XDc
Also, not completely familiar with the track layout and it's my first time using Vyse, so cut me some slack for sucking ya? XD;;
Also, Tank Boss enemy? That's interesting, but that last attack pattern is one helluva pain x3x;
First time fighting them, I'll need more practice to not get hit XDc
Just bought the game a few days ago, decided to give it a run
Fell in love with the game, it's simple in its mechanics, and is challenging in it's own ways in Hard Mode (The CPU really tries to pay it's best)
The game looks good too, and is barely system demanding, so you can play this and FRAPs on a moderately mid ranged laptop too while playing at max settings, easily hitting 30FPS :3
Anyways, this is my sequentially mashed together run through of the Frozen Valley World Tour in Hard Mode using Sonic + his highest level Speed mod equip :3
Laptop Setup as follows
Core i5 450M (Dual Core 2.4 GHz)
ATI/AMD Mobility Radeon HD5650M at stock clocks (no overclock)
8GB RAM
7200RPM 750GB Western Digital Caviar Black
Controller used - xBox360 controller attached via USB
I have to say, the results turned out pretty good
Game was running well over 30FPS constantly, hovering somewhere between 42-60FPS, averaging 55FPS or so
While recording with FRAPs however, the game hovered between 18-40 FPS with the counter saying 29FPS most of the time
Technical things aside though, Shadow's normal controls are heavy to say the least, at least it feels that way.
When he's snaking/drifting though, it's a different story altogether. He does take a while to get up to speed though, but he feels pretty fast when he does.

Technical things aside though, Tails controls really nicely, and feels really good gameplay wise when he has the Speed Mod equipped :)

So happy to see some tracks in the game, particularly the ones related to Skies of Arcadia, Panzer Dragoon and many others n.n/
Anyways, this is my sequentially mashed together run through of the Sunshine Coast World Tour GP in Hard Mode using Sonic + his highest level mod equip :3
Saw a few videos, and decided to try this one out =)
Did this run pretty casually
That said, not easy, first try = Controller keeps auto-ing the left bumper upon FRAPs recording, next tries = controller doesn't work anymore since USB2.0 ports doesn't supply enough current to the vibration motor =/
Still, quite a bit of kinks to work out, I know I screwed up quite a lot in the beginning, and also the part after breaking the bridge.
Gonna work it out if I get the time to =)
Was playing with a local friend of mine Canespire, who is more or less my one of my mentors at the game =)
He focuses more on damaging the Twins, while I focused on the switch timings.
Apparently, Snarby's 'ground digging' doesn't allow him to actually escape the Vortex!
Was somewhat shaken by that iRL so it wasn't till the later half of the vid afterwhich I composed myself where things got better for me.
Apparently, since the radius of the Beast Bell surpasses the radius of the Vortex, and Snarby himself has a really big hitbox, he'd get stunned 100% when going against a Vortex placed in the right distance away from the Bell.
All 3 of us belong to different guilds however =)
Part 3 of the set and the battle with the Royal Jelly and its minions.
Unfortunately, 2 of us got killed by somewhat bad lag =/
Oh well, at least Cane's Fang of Vog dealt the trick =)
All 3 of us belong to different guilds however =)
Decided to cut out a part of this video where we were idling
If you've noticed, the gameplay here is actually much less jagged VS normal Spiral Knights recordings found in my previous uploads.
Found a way to enable Antialiasing via brute force through the nVidia Control Panel =D
PS: Sorry for the lack of a BGM, but you can probably now throw in your own favourite tracks while watching this video at the same time! =D
Also, sorry for not uploading a 1080p version. The video had to be 1.9GB at this length to preserve a good 1080p quality.
All 3 of us belong to different guilds however =)
Sorry for the long pause and Agni Spam, the other 2 were trading, didn't know I was recording till much later *lol*

Charged or otherwise, it makes for a pretty good combo setup, and I can only imagine the Cold Iron Vanquisher being better at it due to the weaker knockback (all 3 Charged hits connect rather than the Levi's 1 charged hit)
The Vortex line of bombs make for a very good combo bomb IMO
This is the suffering I have to endure virtually every PvP match.
Sega needs more servers, especially in SE Asia, since having to connect to either NA or Europe just to play this game is absolutely ridiculous.
Probably not the nost practical to use, but in less risky areas, probably one of the most fun to =)
This arena loop setup was basically a test run of the Graviton Vortex I just crafted.
Creepy looking place with a very eerie, ominous atmosphere to it IMO.
Wonder when OOO is gonna make the access to the core available.
Decided to install and play the game on my workstation desktop vs my more power saving laptop due to the text being -SO- hard to see at anything lower than 900p (and even then, its a stretch).
I'll try making more vids in the future, Revenge mode is surprisingly fun =)
Managed to play it around with the right cards in hand however.
Got lucky more than once as well.
We virtually tore through Stratum 4 like no one elses business. Coulda unlocked the Silver Survivor (?) Achievement if I didn't die in this instance =s
9 more tokens till the Sealed Sword on my end, gonna work on a Divine Avenger =)
Thank goodness for the Dragonspeaker Shaman, reducing the summoning costs for my Dragon creatures up to a whole 2 Mana.
Managed to summon 1 Voracious Dragon and 2 Volcanic Dragons, which managed to overpower Nissa later in the game.
Pretty standard match. Managed to win out in the end thanks to the flying dragons.
Didn't showoff the strength of the deck though. Lacking in lands and that uber powerful 1/1 Legend that summons 1 dragon token per turn if you have 6 lands and above.
A Tidemaker literaly came in and turned the tides of battle for me =)
Lothos, you are uber, waaaay too uber (if I can afford your payment costs that is)
Had to discard a lot of good cards on his end, but oh well, works to my advantage. Used the time to set things up instead.
Late game though, the 1/1 tokens I casted worked against me, allowing Koth to end up with a 12/12 monstrosity.
Didn't get to use Lorthos here though, not enough Mana to get him to tap 8 permanents when attacking on my end.
The Ancient Depth Deck can get pretty overwhelming when you pump out a large number of lands in one shot, and if you can call on one of the 2 giant Legendaries in an early turn due to the sheer number of lands, you opponents can kiss their Permanents goodbye due to the Annihilator ability.
Lorthos the Tidemaker is ridiculously powerful too if you can get him out early. 8 Mana summon 8/8 with an ability to tap 8 of your opponent's permanents is ridiculously powerful.
Rite of Replication (endgame card in this) is stupid powerful as well when used on powerful creatures, or moderately powerful creatures even, making 5 copies of them in the game.
First time going up against it, so I'm not sure what its deck is like, but the initial setup did kinda scare me, throwing out the Islands and the Mox Sapphire in the fashion it did.
Gonna assume that it has some large, powerful creatures in the deck or something.
Personally, I feel that Gideon's deck is kinda well rounded. It also poses a threat to larger, stronger creatures in the sense that he can bind them using Arrest.
There're also the Captain of the Guard and Serra Angel cards to contend with too.
Was Mana handicapped throughout this entire match, first time I went up against her as well, but it worked out in the end to my favour.
Poor Steel Overseer never saw the light of the day, but things still worked out, luckily =)
Black decks pose a very good threat in the sense that they have instant kill cards. Kinda makes me wonder how the instant kill cards work on artifact creatures though.
Reds are annoying in the sense that they can accumulate so much damage within a relatively short period of time via creatures IMO... But then again, they're a very combat oriented deck.
The Steel Overseers in the deck (2 of them) when paired with Mirrorworks = OMG Havoc Time. A permanent +4/+4 to all creatures and clone creature tokens every single turn is by no means a joke, and is brutally powerful.
A late game deck, as long as not countered by having all your artifact creatures destroyed by a spell, can be extremely intimidating to say the least.
Of course, that is an 'ideal' scenario.
Never likely to happen in an RL gameplay scenario.
Acer Aspire 3820TG

ATI Mobility Radeon HD5650
Advanced Graphics Options:
Textures: Ultra
Shadows: High
No Anti Aliasing
No Motion Blur
High Shadows on Character and World
Film Grain and Post Processing enabled
Runs pretty smooth, achieving well over 30FPS despite the aforementioned settings. Game was capped at 30FPS, sometimes dropping to 27 because FRAPs was recording.
The game apparently doesn't need a very powerful system to run smoothly, given that my mainstream laptop can handle it without difficulty.
May record the other stages sometime, but things are looking promising so far.
Full screen wipeout =)

Played on my laptop (Acer Timeline X 3820TG) with mainstream specs:
Core i5 450M (stock clocks)
Mobility Radeon HD5650 (stock clocks)
Runs at native resolution at 'Fantastic' graphic settings perfectly without a hint of slowdown, but drops to 20-24FPS with FRAPs on.
I've got to get a controller to play this game once its officially released for the fandom.
It the mean time, please show your support for the makers of the game =)
Added an 8 second buffer at the start in case Youtube decides to screw my x264 compressions at the start again.
Also, trying out the 3rd person camera feature in this run as well with a local friend of mine.
Also a co-op trial test for things to come. He takes care of Craw using Lilith + Phasewalk, while I try to handle the minions.
Somehow, dodging seems easier with 3rd Person view IMO o.O
Lag free gameplay is good =)
This was my 3rd recording attempt with Brick (after many practice runs), which will explain the good number of dead Craw worms around when I got up.
I don't have an effective method using Brick against Crawmerax, so its mainly a battle of attrition using the setup that I have for Brick here.
These were the weapons used in the video:
- Desert Bulldog (Incendiary)
- Static Defender (Shock + Ammo Regen)
- Pestilent Crux (Corrosive)
I didn't abuse Brick's Diehard skill the way I should have due to the inconvenience in the strategy used for the terrain here.
And to think this was done on Playthrough 1. Kudos to all Brick players who have defeated his on Playthrough 2., I have much respect for those of you who have done it legitly.
Its a trap!!! You get a Storage Deck Upgrade out of it tho.
Ugh, Youtube hates my x264 conversions sometimes x.x
Wave 1 of the bosses in Borderland's 4th DLC.
Knoxx laments that he's back and wants you to kill him.
Ned makes a Star Trek reference.
And Steele is baffled as to her current situation (unce unce unce) XD
Knoxx took a long time to kill here, I guess its because of the lack of proper weapons on our side and his HP Pool was ginormous!
Ned-Trap was easy, criticalled him a good amount of times with the Volcano.
Steele-Trap would have been easier if the Shock launcher wasn't being used to spam the field with rockets and there was less lag.
I'm missing Human Ned in this video though.
Knoxx-trap, Zombie Ned-Trap and Steele Trap (unce unce unce) are fought in Wayward Pass, and area supposedly founf in close vicinity to Eridian Promontory and The Vault, whereas MINCA and INAC are fought at the place where the Vault Hunters first began their game @ the Arid Badlands - Fyrestone Entrance.
PS: Poor Knoxx, he was one boss I was most unwilling to kill.
I've always like him as a character since DLC3, and he sounded really pitiful being brought back against his will here in this game :O
Hope the last 35 seconds of this video's surprise will make up for it.
Anyways...
This video highlights several different hidden chests in different areas in Borderlands.
Dev Chests as the Borderlands community calls them, are relatively well hidden compared to other chests, and also may contain better loot than usual compared to normal chests.
The areas show in the vid are as follows:
- Headstone Mine
- Rust Commons West
- The Back Door
- Eridian Promontory
I know of 4 of them in the Vanilla game so far, but if you know anymore, please do inform me.
I decided to be a wimp and did this on Playthrough 1 instead though, since Crawwie and his wee little minions have much less HP, allowing the fight to be much shorter in comparison to PT2/2.5 (and netting the necessary 2nd Winds, considering I died 3 times during the fight).
When aiming is not something in mind, the Orion and Penetrator Semi-Auto snipers are pretty much a necessity IMO.
The quality of the loot for both PT1 and PT2/2.5 are the same, so if you wanna farm Crawmerax easily, just do it in PT1.
PT2/2.5 Craw is for a party looking for a decent challenge =)
