One Hundred Years Adrift Redux - A Star Trek Fan Production Lea Design Bureau 2026-05-01 | An abandoned Daedalus class cruises through space.I re-watched an old video I posted a few years back, it was the first video that got any sort of decent views. I recently rebuilt a Daedalus class model (my third now) with new textures and a lot more detail so I thought I'd re-do that video as a side project.Here's a link to that:youtu.be/tAxOivwaA04I created this using Blender 5.0 and wanted to fill in some of the gaps in what we see on screen. The Daedalus class was designed an built during the 22nd Century as the war with the Romulan Star Empire began to come to a conclusion. Originally, the design was for long range, independent exploratory voyages for the United Earth Space Probe Agency, UESPA. Aside from some on-screen models, the ship has not been realised in CGI before. Interestingly, the design was inspired by a rejected proposal for the original TOS USS Enterprise and so was not used. It isn't the most majestic of designs however the more simple shapes and lines evoke a less advanced era, so it works as a part of canon history.I was also attempting to make the early voyages deep into space feel much more terrifying than we have seen on screen.
