Of course, I could use the name Sonic: Hard Bosses Edition, but the concept of the hack is completely different, and I basically couldn't continue using the old name.So I decided to rename my hack.The Sonic: the Boss Challenge is a "Boss Rush" hack. The player will have to defeat all the bosses in a row, without rest. In the hack, you can choose the music before the battle. I added two the sound drivers so that the player could choose more different music, and also because I was interested in this driver and wanted to learn it.In the GEMS sound driver, I ported some sound effects from the SMPS sound driver. I planned to port all the sound effects, but in the end, work on the hack was canceled.The SMPS sound driver has options for editing music. I wanted every player to be able to make their own music remix and play against my bosses.In this video, you will notice some bugs in the bosses that I have already fixed, but I did not record the video again. Joker 27 told me about the game Ultracore.This is just an amazing game!I was surprised when I found out that it uses the Advanced Z80 Player.This sound driver was used in games such as Adventures of Batman and Robin, AWS Pro Moves Soccer, Red Zone, Sub-Terrania, and X-Men for the 32x system.I thought I added all the music that used this driver to my player. But this was not the case.The music in this game is so cool! I haven't heard such amazing music in a long time. I really enjoy this OST. I love this music.I immediately had a desire to add this music to my player.I spent a few days disassembling the game to rip out the sound driver data.It was more difficult than with other games. Since it looks like the game was written in the C programming language, and it was difficult for me to navigate the code.But in the end I was able to do it!
