About:
Clinton Presidential Center Presents is a partnership between the Clinton Foundation, Clinton School of Public Service at the University of Arkansas, and Clinton Presidential Library.
The Clinton Presidential Center Presents Daniela Pierre-Bravo, best-selling author, speaker, and MSNBC reporter on Tuesday, September 27. During this special Hispanic Heritage Month conversation, Pierre-Bravo will discuss her new book, “The Other: How to Own Your Power at Work as a Woman of Color,” with moderator Danyelle Musselman.
Daniela Pierre-Bravo is a best-selling author, speaker, and MSNBC reporter for Morning Joe. She is a contributor and producer for NBC’s “Know Your Value” platform and co-author of “Earn It!”. A former Cosmopolitan magazine columnist, Pierre-Bravo has written on career advice, mental health, and financial wellness with an emphasis on women of color. Her work has been featured on the Today Show, Telemundo, Forbes, Cosmopolitan, Refinery29, New York Magazine, and more.
Pierre-Bravo spent many years undocumented and in the shadows as an immigrant from Chile, working odd jobs to pay her way through school. She became an expert shape shifter in order to chameleon her way around professional environments that felt out of reach. When she became a DACA recipient, she finally felt that she’d made it, rising through the ranks in her career. But she quickly realized that no matter how much success she achieved, she always felt she had to prove her worth as “the other.”
“The Other” is written for women of color and children of immigrants, and serves as a framework for how to effectively advocate for yourself, become your biggest believer, claim the spaces in your career that are rightfully yours, and create your own vision of success.
Danyelle Musselman has an extensive background working in sports broadcasting with years of experience in anchoring, hosting, and reporting. Most recently, Musselman worked as a sideline reporter for FOX Sports NFL games and spent two years anchoring various programs on ESPN and ESPNews. Most recently, she worked for the NFL Network where she served as an update anchor and as the host of “Up to the Minute.” She also served as the host for Yahoo Sports, and as an anchor for Fox Sports Net.
Musselman is the co-chair of the Coaches vs. Cancer Wives & Friends team, and serves as the market chair for the Make a Wish Foundation Mid-South Region. Musselman is married to current Arkansas Men’s Basketball coach Eric Musselman.

As the White House Television Unit followed the President exclusively during the Clinton administration, we were initially unaware of any footage of the First Lady speaking at Seneca Falls in our archive as the President did not attend this event. This material was located within a staffer's files and is provided here for its historical value in regard to the duties of the First Lady along with its importance as a milestone anniversary for women's rights.
