Chapter 16x: The Port of Badon
After speaking with the Ostian spy Leila, Eliwood realizes he must travel to Valor, the Dread Isle. The small island, located south of Lycia, is said to be home to the Dragon's Gate. Heading for the southern coast of Caelin, they seek passage in the port of Badon.

Roster
Eliwood - Level 12
Rebecca - Level 11
Hector - Level 12
Priscilla - Level 5
Lyn - Level 12
Sain - Level 12
Florina - Level 11
Lucius - Level 8
Raven - Level 5
Strategy: Stay just out of range from the Pirates in the middle equipped with the crazy weapons. Intercept and defeat all the weaker pirates that are moving toward you. Hopefully you kept the Mine you got from Chapter 13 because it's quite useful here. On turn 2 a Paladin from the Black Fang named 'Damian' will spawn and he has a Killing Edge equipped, making him extremely dangerous. Once all the initial pirates are defeated, lay that Mine down just in range for Damian to step on it (he will always move first on the enemy turn). After you do that it will trigger Fargus' command for the rest of his mates to attack you. This is when things get a little hectic, luckily Damian will be weakened and he gets his turn taken away from stepping on the Mine so you shouldn't be in any real danger until the next turn. The next turn you will want to retreat everybody back, having your highest DEF unit (Oswin, Marcus, or Hector usually) typically someone who can handle a critical hit from Damian and not die, covering the southern choke-point and blocking the enemy off from the rest of your group. Make sure to keep this unit out of range from the rest of the dangerous enemies whom wield the Silver/Killer weapons and the Elfire/Flux users. Once you have survived their assault, it's your chance to strategically take out the rest, try to take out the 2 Pirates with the Silver/Killer Axe as well as the archer with the Killer Bow this turn. If you can kill the mage with Elfire this turn too that's great. Otherwise try not to leave weakened or low HP/RES units exposed. Once all the well-equipped enemies are defeated, you've pretty much won the battle and can take your time visiting the villages/shop, fighting in the arena, or just going ahead and talking to Fargus with any of your units.
Comment: This chapter can be the easiest or the hardest chapter you will have encountered by now; depending on the route you take to Fargus. The easy way is to just have someone take the North path around the port and talking to him. You won't have to fight any of his well-equipped mates or any of the Black Fang that spawn later this way, but you will miss out on alot of EXP and the items from the villages nearby. This is one of my personal favorite chapters in this game because it's only as difficult as you want it to be, but rewards you for taking the more difficult path. It's also the first chapter where the 'Hard Mode' difficulty truly starts to show. Also, I'm pretty lucky my Florina was powerful enough to take out that Killer Bow Archer in 1 turn ^^

Chapter 16: Whereabouts Unknown
Eliwood and colleagues defeat Bauker, one of Marquess Laus's lackeys. They then press on toward Castle Caelin. Yet inside the castle many Laus soldiers remain. Eliwood and friends begin their assault on the castle to save Marquess Caelin.

Rebecca - Level 9
Hector - Level 10
Priscilla - Level 4
Lyn - Level 11
Sain - Level 11
Florina - Level 10
Lucius - Level 8
Raven - Level 5
Strategy: You're on a bit of a timer in this chapter, that is if you plan to save all 3 of the Caelin soldiers from dying, to get the Red Gem. So you will want to rush your forces up the map as fast as possible, make sure to bring Priscilla as well to recruit her brother Raven. Watch out though, because he will attack Priscilla if she's in range. But luckily she can move further than him, so you can just move up just outside his range then speak to him your next turn. Or you can have a bodyguard for her like I did that will aggro him first. To save all the soldiers, you will need to use the key dropped by one of the enemies to open the door of the room spawning all the archers near Raven. Reason being is because you will want to kill them before they get a turn so that they don't end up picking off any of the neutral soldiers. Or you can just rescue all of them, but I think it's less tedious to just kill off the threat. As for Merlinus, he will need a guard or two for the cavaliers that spawn later in the bottom left corner. I just brought two meat shields (Marcus & Oswin) to intercept them and had Rebecca pick them off for some nice EXP.
Reward you will receive depending on how many soldiers survived
1 Soldier - Mine
2 Soldiers - Elixir
3 Soldiers - Red Gem
(You will need to save atleast 1 to unlock Chapter 16x)
Comment: We finally have Raven! He's my 2nd favorite character in the game next to Hector :). I love the Hero class in general but his character/design is actually really cool. Also, now that most of my units have support partners I'm trying to pair them up as much as possible. Which can be hard sometimes because some units are much more resilient than their support partner. So sometimes it takes me awhile to determine my next move.

Chapter 15: Noble Lady of Caelin
In Laus, Erik tells Eliwood of a plan. A plot to use Laus as starting ground in a rebellion against Ostia. Eliwood needs proof to believe these accusations, and so he and his allies pursue Darin, the fleeing marquess of Laus. Where that chase would lead, Eliwood could not have known.

Eliwood - Level 9

Lyn - Level 11
Sain - Level 10
Florina - Level 9
Strategy: Pretty basic map; advance toward the castle with stronger units up front, and pick enemies off along the way. One thing you have to watch out for is if you're deploying Merlinus, you will need a bodyguard or two to protect him from the Brigands in the mountains at the beginning, and the enemy Cavalier reinforcements that will spawn near him later.
Comment: I apologize for not uploading in awhile. I'll admit part of the reason was that I was a little disappointed that I miscalculated my funds from Lyn's campaign, and got the Red Gem instead of atleast the Blue (which never happens). But oh well I guess that just adds a bit more of a handicap!

Chapter 14: False Friends
Laus is located in the heart of Lycia, a territory ruled by the power-hungry marquess of Laus, Lord Darin. Preparations for the war of which the Pheraen magistrate spoke...The disappearance of Eliwood's father, Elbert...The death of Marquess Santaruz...Do these all revolve around Lord Darin? In Eliwood's heart, the need for truth is drowned in fear...A fear of what that truth may hold.
Priscilla has joined the party!
Battle Begins: 8:52
Roster
Eliwood - Level 8
Rebecca - Level 8
Hector - Level 7
Priscilla - Level 3
Strategy: Place some units (preferably sword users) at each shore to intercept the Pirates that start spawning on turn 3. While rushing toward Erik and his cavalry with the rest of your units. Hector is perfect for leading the charge against them because of his high DEF and most of them wield lances.
Tip: Also DO NOT attack pirates on the shore, if you cannot defeat them on your turn. If they survive and are wounded they can waste a huge amount of your time, by retreating back to the forts on the islands and slowly recovering back to full life. I found this incredibly annoying, so I thought I should add this little detail.
Comment: One of my least favorite maps in FE7, simply because of the boring design of the map in general. There isn't much strategy involved, as most of the enemies will just stand in place waiting for your units to get into movement range of them. The only real challenge to this map is defeating all the Brigands and Pirates before they can reach Merlinus (if you deployed him) or the southern village where Priscilla is recruited. Also the rain mechanic does not positively contribute to any of the fun. But atleast the story starts to unfold a bit here, and some things are explained about Eliwood's father and the Marquess of Laus.

Chapter 13x: The Peddler Merlinus
The dying words of Lord Helman stun Eliwood beyond belief. 'Darin, the marquess of Laus, knows all...' Despite the pain it brings, Eliwood takes this newfound knowledge to heart and sets out for Laus once again. On the way to Laus, he travels through a Caelin village. Eliwood and his party decide to rest there for the night.
Battle Begins: 3:20
Roster
Eliwood - Level 7
Rebecca - Level 6
Hector - Level 6
Strategy: A very simple defend map. Have Oswin block the West bridge, Eliwood and Hector on the North bridges, and some sword user(s) for the South or far Southeastern bridge, preferably Guy and Matthew. Use Marcus to quickly reach the village in the NE corner for a free 5,000 gold before a brigand destroys it. You can play this safe and just block all paths leading to Merlinus for 7 turns. Or if you got a strong team, you can on the offense and fight your way to the boss, that torch you got last chapter could be useful in this case.
Comment: A defend map with fog of war.. My two favorite types of maps, and fortunately for me there are a ton of them in this game! Also hurray we got Merlinus!

Chapter 13: In Search of Truth
Eliwood enters Santaruz, only to be attacked by a strange group. In a desperate moment, he is rescued by a childhood friend, Marquess Ostia's younger brother, Hector. The assailants' leader reveals that an unknown party seeks Eliwood's head...Eliwood cannot help but think this is related to his father's disappearance. In search of more traces of his father's footsteps, Eliwood sets out for the castle of Lord Helman, the marquess of Santaruz.
Battle Begins: 3:15
Roster
Eliwood - Level 5
Rebecca - Level 5
Hector - Level 3
Strategy: Pretty straightforward map, Guy can be dangerous with his Killing Edge so I recommend using Oswin to lure him out so that Matthew can recruit him. If you've been training Hector, he should be able to back up his talk vs Boies easily with Wolf Beil equipped. Also don't forget to visit the village in the NW part of the map to unlock chapter 13x.
Comment: Guy is one of my favorite characters in this game but I sadly won't be using him this playthrough, since I will have too many sword wielders.

Chapter 12: Birds of a Feather
After speaking with the village magistrate, Eliwood and company set their sights on Laus. The road from Pherae to Laus passes through Santaruz. Eliwood suspects his missing father must have visited Santaruz en route to Ostia. Eliwood arranges a meeting with the local ruling lord to see what he can learn.

Hector - Level 1
Strategy: Get Eliwood on the far eastern fortress to intercept the incoming enemies along with everyone else besides for Marcus to support him. Marcus should be used to deliver weapons up north to Hector so that he doesn't waste his Wolf Beil uses. Make sure everyone is topped off with Vulneraries for when the boss is near, as he can easily finish off a wounded ally with his high strength and Steel Axe combination.
Comment: Finally we get Hector! My favorite character in this game with Raven a close 2nd. Not only is he the strongest Lord in the game, he's also in my opinion the most reliable unit in the game with his high strength and defense growths, he will be a huge asset in the final chapters!

Chapter 11: Taking Leave
Deep within the Lycian League lies Pherae, a land that has known no conflict for many generations, but which now finds itself touched by a shadow of unease. Its beloved and benevolent ruler, Lord Elbert, has mysteriously vanished... as have a number of his sworn men, loyal knights who serve at his side. A month has passed without word from the marquess. Rumors of his death abound. However, the marquess's son believes his father lives, and he has vowed to find him. Marquess Pherae's son, Eliwood: A red-haired youth who will one day become the finest knight in all of Lycia. His long journey begins here.

Because when Lyn returns she will come with a red, blue, or white gem depending on how much total gold you had plus your assets. Djinn Counter: 28/28 (100%)
Strategy 1: Isaac & Garet will be the key offense here, Ivan will be buffing with High Impact most of the time while Mia will be using Wish Well just about every turn. Considering how much lower HP Ivan & Mia have, you don't want to use Djinn on them anyway, they will need all the stats they can get for surviving. Focus on taking one of them down at a time, I go for Menardi cause she has less HP and has an insta KO ability called 'Death Size' that can be annoying, so the faster you get her out of the way the better. Then once just one of them is left it's pretty much over.
Strategy 2: The Fusion Dragon is a bit more threatening but you can fight him the same way. Just keep your party healthy because he has some devastating attacks; Outer Space and Severe Blow to be specific. And he attacks twice per turn so you gotta be ready to withstand potentially 2x Outer Space attacks in a row.
Comment: I actually find this battle more challenging than Deadbeard, considering you can't seal his attacks with Luff. Also these scenes made me dislike Felix a great bit, he's unreasonable on both sides and is just looking to cause drama.

Strategy: The 'super' boss of this game can be dealt with quite easily, especially if you have the jupiter djinn Luff. Which allows you to seal his psynergy, forcing him to just use melee attacks which aren't nearly as deadly. Just set Luff immediately after using him and you should be able to permanently seal his psynergy for the whole fight.
Comment: This is the hardest content the game has to offer, sadly it isn't too challenging unless you came extremely unprepared.

Strategy: If your underleveled just have Isaac & Garet do the attacking, while Ivan buffs your party and Mia heals.
Comment: Basically the same boss as the Storm Lizard, has a tiny bit more HP and damage output.

Comment: This guy is literally just an easier version of the Kraken, he gains 80 HP per turn which is like nothing and puts out very little damage.

Strategy: Not very difficult, just handle him like any other boss. If you're under-leveled you will probably want to Cure anyone that gets poisoned. But he will die quickly anyway once you start nuking him with your high tier summons.
Comment: I won't be summon rushing on any storyline bosses as it would make for lousy battles later on when I can just spam tier 4 summons off the bat.

Strategy: A little more dangerous than the Killer Ape but still nothing special. You should have Wish Well on Mia at this point, which means boss fights will only get easier from here on out. If his Froth Sphere is actually doing a dangerous amount of damage just top your party off with Wish. Otherwise just set him up with Djinn and nuke him down with summons like the other bosses.
Comment: I won't be summon rushing on any storyline bosses as it would make for lousy battles later on when I can just spam tier 4 summons off the bat. Also I decided to add capturing Corona in this video as it seemed a bit short and I want Xian to have its own video.
