Sphallolalia (Sphallolalia)search query: video game piano tutoriel? I spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out how to do the queen's Ohhhohoho~ on the piano....
not to gush out emotions here, but: the soundtrack's a bop, the game is amazing, I'm so happy to have chapter two and new music, and I hope everybody else is having a marvelous time playing as well
I have a couple track transcriptions more drafted, we'll see~
I transcribed this (though I cannot vouch for playability) from the track Pandora Palace from Deltarune Chapter 2, composed by Toby Fox, who continues to be an incredible musical inspiration

thanks for listening, -SCuphead DLC - High-Noon Hoopla, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2022-07-04 | surprising to me that one of esther's forms can fly a bit - I would have guessed her to be ground beef
I want to join in in enthusing about the cuphead dlc - the animation, the fights, and especially the music are just all fantastic
my big question in this one was: how am I going to get yodeling on the piano...my first draft was just 8 measures of rests with a note that said "Start Yodeling, pianist"
I made this to use as a midi myself later (and to see how yodeling would sound on the piano) so I do not know if this one is on the side of humanly playable...but even so, I will put up some sheet music soon
it's been a bit, but I'm still here! I might be a bit more active. and in the meantime, I hope everybody is doing well and enjoying and playing and making music -SNickelodeon All-Star Brawl - The Ghost Zone, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-10-12 | it's looking mighty spooky in here - and sounding mighty groovy
I like this theme- it starts spectral and mysterious, and suddenly gains a great bass line and a fighting energy.
I transcribed this based on music by Mattias Hakulinen, from the game Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
Thanks for listening, -SMetroid Dread: Quiet Robes Tale, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-10-08 | Dread brings back the theme of Lower Brinstar for a slow deliberate walk through the past, with a bit of quiet in between thoughts to wonder what could have been....
I have a different title in mind (unless this gets a track drop in the OST) to call this "Quiet Robe's Tale" but I thought that might be a bit too spoilery for the title for now. Update: it's less spoilery now, so the title has changed.
in some games, the environment feels like a character. in some games, the music feels like a character. in Metroid games, I always feel like the environments and music are uniquely together an organic blend to feel like a character that accompanies Samus. The original "lower brinstar" always felt to me like a creature deliberately pacing its territory, somewhat menacing. This remix feels a bit more calm, a bit more bittersweet. The pauses in between seem like Quiet Robe is considering his own words, the history that has brought them there. I think it's very clever to remix an older theme for a recounting of the past, and I enjoyed this Dread version.
I transcribed and arranged this based on the version of "Lower Brinstar" from Metroid Dread - the composing team of this game is Kenji Yamamoto, Soshi Abe, and Sayako Doi.
thanks for listening, -SDeltarune Chapter 2: A CYBERS WORLD?, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-09-27 | A green field extends before you... And, in the distance, a city shines brightly. You are filled with the power of a new adventure.
I think this piece in particular is emerging as a major favorite - it's definitely one of mine. It's optimistic for exploring this new world and it's filled with resolve for the adventure to come -which works both for the Cyber world but also for being welcomed back to chapter two of deltarune as a whole. It's a track that's a lot of fun.
I transcribed this from "A CYBER'S WORLD?," composed by Toby Fox from the game deltarune
thanks for listening, -SLegend of Mana - Hometown Domina, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-07-12 | a lovely theme for a lovely place to call home
I made this based on the piece "Hometown Domina" composed by Yoko Shimomura, from the game Legend of Mana
thanks for listening, -SFriday Night Funkin, Mid-Fight Masses: Gospel, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-05-21 | if somebody is disguised as a nun, does that mean it's an altar-ego?
anyway: the songs for the mid-fight masses are all of them bops.
I'm going to file this finished piano project under "perhaps not entirely playable" but it was really fun to transcribe~ I transcribed this based on "Gospel," composed by Mike Geno, from the Friday Night Funkin' mod Mid-Fight Masses
thanks for listening, -SGhostsn Goblins (Incredible Toons): Graveyard Theme, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-03-08 | This one comes from the game "Arthur to Astaroth no Nazomakaimura: Incredible Toons", a sort of Incredible Machine-esque physics puzzle game that has my favorite version of the first level theme.
I love the orchestral nature of the original piece, and how many variations there have been of that original melody. This take is definitely sillier than others but so much fun -much more the mood of a puzzle game.
sheet music will be up soon
thanks for listening, -SLittle Nightmares II - Togetherness I, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-02-10 | the game? too scary for me. the soundtrack? also too scary for me, but I worked up my courage and listened.
This is a hauntingly beautiful piece, a back and forth conversation to reassure one another that they're here. People who have been listening to the music in the trailers may recognize this theme... As with every other piece in the Little Nightmares soundtrack, the music is an essential part of the game in enhancing every scene and developing the story (and really ramping up the terror D:) however, I quite like this as a standalone piano piece too
I transcribed this from the piece 'Togetherness I' from the OST of the game Little Nightmares II, composed by Tobias Lilja
thanks for listening, -SCyber Shadow - Meka Island Spaceport, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-02-07 | This is definitely one of my favorite tracks from Cyber Shadow - it's the kind of music that feels like a reward for making it so far in the game!
It's and upbeat and inspiring, encouraging the player to continue and with a touch for hope for being so close to your goal. This was a blast to transcribe.
I transcribed this from the Chapter 10 area music from the game Cyber Shadow, the OST of which was composed by Enrique Martin/Pentadrangle. If you haven't listened to this OST yet, you absolutely should.
thanks for listening, -SCyber Shadow - Mekacity Ruins, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-02-05 | the cyber shadow ost is phenomenal, and if you haven't listened to it yet, you really should, the whole thing is a blast...er? Not my best pun, I'll have to meditate on a better one.
The second theme starts at 1:11
This is the kind of music that fills the player with inspiration and determination to carry on through the level, no matter how many tries it takes. I had a lot of fun transcribing the themes you hear in this area.
I transcribed this from the Chapter 3 area music from the game Cyber Shadow, the OST of which was composed by Enrique Martin/Pentadrangle.
thanks for listening, -STOHU - Circus, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-02-02 | I'm always delighted by circus music, and this one is especially lovely.
I transcribed this from "Circus" of the soundtrack of the game TOHU, composed by Christopher Larkin

thanks for listening, -SBloodstained ROTN Classic Mode - Stage 2, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-01-29 | What a horrible night to have a curse...and what a wonderful night to be enjoying new Bloodstained music~
I maybe made a few strange choices in transcribing this one, but I'm pleased with the overall effect
I transcribed this from the Classic mode of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the soundtrack of which was composed by Michiru Yamane.
sheet music will be up soon
thanks for listening, SQuiplash 3 - Lobby Theme, 4 hands pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2021-01-12 | in the future, all pianos will have a fourth pedal that does this: ______
I have been playing a lot of quiplash lately, and I'm really into the circusy vibe of 3, so I took a shot at transcribing the lobby theme. It's a party game, so it's a party piece - piano duet!
sheet music will be up soon
I transcribed this based on the music from Quiplash 3, the OST of which was composed by Andy Poland
once again, I love the snowy music - no surprises there. the original instrumentation of the whole bugsnax ost is fun and charming and just full of a wonderful personality. I do like how this transcription came out, and I think it makes for a very pretty piano piece.
I arranged this from a piece from Bugsnax, the ost of which was composed by Seth Parker
thanks for listening, happy new year! -SDont Starve Together - Farming Theme, piano (4 hands)Sphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-12-28 | much like the plants, listening to music raises my Happiness stat - and some new Don't starve tunes have just cropped up.
as befits Don't Starve Together, this is once again for two people! I mostly stuck to the track that plays while you farm, but I leaned into a little something that Wes does in the Reap What You Sow trailer for just a moment...
I arranged this based on music by Vince de Vera and Jason Garner. sheet music will be up soon.
thanks for listening, happy new year! -SAnimal Crossing: New Horizons - Toy Day, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-12-25 | something seasonal, something peaceful and soothing. I really love snowy music.
I feel like this piece can have a more joyful and upbeat side, complete with sleigh bells, but also a softer side, like falling snow. For this arrangement, I leaned into more of a falling snow feeling.
I transcribed this from the Toy Day theme from Animal Crossing. The original theme in the earlier games was composed by Kazumi Totaka, the composers/arrangers from New Horizons are Yasuaki Iwata, Yumi Takahashi, Shinobu Nagata, Sayako Doi, and Masato Ohashi.
sheet music will be up soon!
happy holidays, and thanks for listening, -SA Hat in Time: Train Rush, Too Many Notes editionSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-12-08 | There's certainly a lot of tempo changes in this piece. Good thing there's a conductor nearby. I may have used this pun before - with the train jokes, it can be hard to keep "track." And it's too late for me to be...re-trained.
this isn't intended to be playable! I just packed the staff with many many notes to create another grey midi, and got to play around with honky-tonk sounds (and nearly melted my laptop while visualizing)
the whole AHIT soundtrack is a bop and a half. I could listen to it on repeat, and do -but especially this piece.
I made/transcribed this from "Train Rush" from A Hat in Time, by composer Pascal Michael Stiefel
thanks for listening, SLuigis Mansion 3 - The Great Hall (Auditorium), pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-11-21 | The piece Amadeus Wolfgeist is playing before he is interrupted for a fight. I find the performance lovely, and, well...haunting.
a ghost is content to loop forever, but I need to leave and do other things, so I tried to write in the classic theme in a way that matched Wolfgeist's style to end this
I transcribed this based on music by Darren Radtke and Chad York, from the game Luigi's Mansion 3.
thanks for listening, SCuphead: Coin-Op Bop, Too Many Notes editionSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-11-20 | This isn't intended to be playable, I just wanted to see how many notes I could put in the visualizer. let's v i s u a l i z e
so it's not a black midi as such, because there's still plenty of page. But, I did put a lot of perhaps unnecessary notes in there, so...a grey midi, I guess is what this is?
I arranged this based on the piece Coin-Op Bop from the game Cuphead, composed by Kris Maddigan.
Thanks for listening, hope everybody's doing okay, -SHollow Knight - Daughter of Hallownest, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-11-18 | back to the beautiful Hollow Knight soundtrack. I like very much this new version of Hornet's theme
look, I have a new toy. a midi visualizer! I am going through some of my old stuff and you may see some pieces reappear in this format -though sheet music will always be nearest and dearest to my heart.
a disclaimer I will be putting on many of my old projects: This piece may not be humanly possible to play...especially some of these runs I wrote...
I transcribed this from "Daughter of Hallownest" by Christopher Larkin from the game Hollow Knight
thanks for listening, -SBloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Theme of Gebel, pianoSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-11-17 | I was very close to putting a version of Gebel's entrance riff at the end, so he could have as striking an exit as he had arrived: dramatic, tense...stylish? In the end I kept how the piece ends before it loops - a quiet, more sorrowful close.
look, I have a new toy. a midi visualizer! This is SeeMusic. I am going through some of my old stuff and you may see some pieces reappear in this format, though sheet music will always be nearest and dearest to my heart.
a disclaimer I will be putting on many of my old projects: This piece may not be humanly possible to play. As my friend says, it's like beating your own levels first in mario maker: I should have tried to play it first...
I transcribed from music from Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Composer: Michiru Yamane
thanks for listening, -SBug Fables - Oh No! WASPS!!, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-07-23 | Oh no, wasps! And, oh yes, time signatures! I'm not sure I got it quite right, but I tried - I'll give myself a Bee +.
I transcribed and arranged this from the soundtrack from the game Bug Fables, composed by Tristan Alric.
and that's not me playing, that's the computer (thank you, computer)
thanks for listening, -SBug Fables - Team, Its Getting Serious!, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-07-18 | back to bug everybody with more Bug Fables
perfect for upbeat beat-downs, a really fun battle theme
I transcribed and arranged this from the soundtrack from the game Bug Fables, composed by Tristan Alric.
and that's not me playing, that's the computer (thank you, computer)
thanks for listening -SMario Paint - Background Music/Creative Exercise, chiptunish remixSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-07-04 | I play this in the background, and making it definitely was a creative exercise...normally the titles aren't this accurate for me?
anyway, putting up another thing I made. the next one will be sheet music.
I made this based on the track "Creative Exercise" from Mario Paint, the composers of the Mario Paint OST are Hirokazu Tanaka, Ryoji Yoshitomi, and Kazumi Totaka (I think this track was Totaka)
thanks for listening, stay safe and healthy, -SCrypt of the Necrodancer - Konga Conga Kappa remix (?)Sphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-06-29 | "Warning! Conga Line in Progress!" is one of my all time favorite video game alerts.
something a little new here - this isn't sheet music, this is...a remix? that doesn't feel right, but I guess it is one. maybe I'll start putting up some of my stuff here that isn't only sheet music. we'll see. I don't know how well mandolin soundfonts go with a conga, but, I kind of like it...I made this midi a while ago for guitars: I'm upcycling. I'm happy with how it turned out!
I made this based on "Konga Conga Kappa" from the Crypt of the Necrodancer, composed by Danny Baranowsky
thanks for listening, -SOri and the Will of the Wisps - Dashing and Bashing, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-06-29 | back with the beautiful Ori and the Will of the Wisps soundtrack
there are several moods in this lovely piece, and I...sadly did not explore all of them, because my transcription ends a bit early. I was finding the later half a little harder to capture.
transcribed from "Dashing and Bashing" from the game Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The soundtrack is composed by Gareth Coker
thanks for listening, -SBug Fables - Cooking Themes, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-06-22 | I think the three of them could open a nice restaurant- they've got cutting edge equipment, someone who can adapt on the fly, and a maître bee. If you think I'm just here for the bug puns, my ant-ser is no, but it is a perk.
I transcribed and arranged these from the soundtrack from the game Bug Fables, composed by Tristan Alric.
I just found this OST -it's incredibly charming, and catchy enough to definitely make a spider tap all 8 feet. It has a lot of great upbeat pieces, some lovely slower moments, and is just all around fun.
These are three themes that play for the bug chefs -Make it Crisbee!, Fry it Up!, and Kut it Up! Each of these three themes has a very distinct personality to match the distinct chef, and all of them make me smile. for Crisbee and Fry, I did two passes at the theme, one that's closer to the original and one that's a little different.
and that's not me playing, that's the computer (thank you, computer)
thanks for listening, -SXenoblade - Snowy Valak Mountain (day), piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-06-12 | always loved snowy themes, and this is no exception.
I'm enjoying going through the definitive edition ost for the new takes on some great pieces. I might do a couple more transcriptions? but for now, just having a nice time listening.
I transcribed this from "Valak Mountain" which was composed by ACE+, from Xenoblade Chronicles.
thanks for listening, -SDont Starve Together: Weregoose Hoedown, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-05-28 | It's a lovely full moon in the Constant, and you are a horrible weregoose....wait, wrong game. Enter piano player #2, this is four hands as befits Don't Starve Together.
There's something really fun in this version of the hoedown where some notes are coming in not on beat, but a 16th note earlier. This really gives this piece a feel of scrambling and rushing forward, a good match for the speedy goose form.
I transcribed this from the weregoose version of "Hoedown" from the game Don't Starve Together, with OST composed by Vince de Vera and Jason Garner.
thanks for listening, stay safe everybody, -SDont Starve - Ragtime, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-05-24 | I don't normally get to include "for if you don't want to play for all eternity" as a measure descriptor...anyway, sorry, Maxwell, I know you've been listening to it for a while, but the music stays on: it's catchy.
I transcribed this from "Ragtime" from the game Don't Starve, with OST composed by Vince de Vera and Jason Garner.
thanks for listening, stay safe everybody, -STrials of Mana - Harvest November, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-05-10 | some of my first transcriptions were of music from the Mana series. how time and dragons fly....the beginning of this is a little bittersweet on piano, but I'm happy with it
I transcribed this from "Harvest November" from the OST of the game "Trials of Mana." The composer is Hiroki Kikuta.
thanks for listening, -STrials of Mana - Swivel, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-05-07 | some of my first transcriptions were of music from the Mana series. how time and dragons fly....
I transcribed this from "Swivel" from the game "Trials of Mana." (This is based on the 2020 ost version.) The composer is Hiroki Kikuta.
thanks for listening, -SOri and the Will of the Wisps: A Shine Upon Inkwater Marsh, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-05-04 | a marsh level in video games is often ominous and oppressive feeling, but inkwater is beautiful and iridescent, as is the music
Hmm....I don't know about those runs in the beginning. Spent more time on those than most of the rest of it. In the end, I kind of like it?
I transcribed this from "A Shine Upon Inkwater Marsh" from the game Ori and the Will of the Wisps, with a soundtrack composed by Gareth Coker
I hope everybody is doing okay and staying healthy!
thanks for listening, -SOri and the Will of the Wisps: Kus First Flight, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-03-12 | I was going to go for the pun, but really, "uplifting and soaring" feels appropriate to describe this beautiful piece.
transcribed from "Ku's First Flight" from the game Ori and the Will of the Wisps The soundtrack is composed by Gareth Coker
I'm still around, just been very busy. I hope everybody is doing well, and staying safe and healthy!
thanks for listening, -SShovel Knight -Specter of Torment: A Cargo of Fineries, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-02-01 | I can't think of any Shovel Knight piece that isn't great but the music for Propeller Knight's stage in Specter's game is one of my favorites. It's jaunty, it's uplifting, and I always like the combo of persevering through a difficult level when it's got encouraging background music.
I transcribed this from music composed by Jake Kaufman, from the game Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment
thanks for listening, -SShovel Knight - King of Cards: Magmazurka in A Mine-r, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2020-01-03 | With as punny a title as this piece has, my job is done. What more should I say? I really...dig this piece? I might even say, I lava it.
I transcribed this from the piece "Magmazurka in A Mine-r", composed by Jake Kaufman, from the game Shovel Knight - King of Cards.
thanks for listening, happy new year! -SShovel Knight - King of Cards: Visiting Mom, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-12-23 | the classical music blend with shovel knight music is just, *chefs kiss*
I'm having a great time playing KoC and also having a great time listening to the OST. I'm so happy that we have another shovel knight game to play.
I transcribed this from the piece "Visiting Mom", composed by Jake Kaufman, from the game Shovel Knight - King of Cards.
apparently that is a majestic key? that and Eb major. I wonder if any of King Knight's pieces are in those keys (or...if they aren't), but I haven't listened for that yet
Thanks for listening, and happy holidays, -SMega Man 11 - Stage Themes Medley, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-12-10 | this has been in the works for a little bit - it's a medley of the robot masters' stage themes from Mega Man 11.
All these themes combine the essential encouraging feeling of "Keep going, you can get through this stage!" with so much of the personality of the Robot Masters they represent. There's the happy bounding nature of Bounce Man, the sense of liquids oozing and bubbling for Acid Man, there are even little quick turn arounds that could be somebody spinning on the ice for Tundra Man. (Also, sorry, Tundra Man, who definitely didn't get as much coverage compared to everybody else. I originally had more, but got cold feet about it -I hope the bit that's in there will suff-ice.) I think they're all delightful, I had a lot of fun transcribing. I took some liberties with some of them, especially Fuse Man, but I like how it ended up. the order is: Blast Man, Bounce Man, Fuse Man, Tundra Man, Block Man, Torch Man, Acid Man, Impact Man.
I transcribed this based on music composed by Marika Suzuki, from the game Mega Man 11.
thanks for listening, -SLuigis Mansion 3 - ScareScraper and ScreamPark, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-11-10 | the way this piece moves in and out of swing is a really fun. It's a good variety of different "levels of spookiness" and the straight sections really make the return to swing stand out
I transcribed this based on music from Luigi's Mansion 3, by Chad York and Darren Radtke (and that's not me playing, that's the computer, thank you computer)
thanks for listening, -SLuigis Mansion 3: The Great Stage, Auditorium, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-11-05 | The piece Amadeus Wolfgeist is playing before he is interrupted for a fight. I find the performance lovely, and, well...haunting.
It's got a Moonlight Sonata-esque quality, and so I thought at first this ghost might be called Boodvig. As I said in the other video that has the fighty music, I like Amadeus Wolfgeist much better.
I added a little riff at the end to close out the piece.
I transcribed this based on music by Darren Radtke and Chad York, from the game Luigi's Mansion 3.
thanks for listening, -SLuigis Mansion 3 - Catching Ghosts and Virtual Boo, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-11-04 | catch some ghosts, get called by the professor about some other ghosts, go catch those ghosts, repeat. all in a night's work.
I'm glad to see some of the Dark Moon themes making a reappearance in the soundtrack for some sweet remixes. There's a lot of personality and atmosphere in the themes for catching the ghosts, especially in the instruments. Most of the themes are upbeat with some chromatic runs that match the energy and motions you make on screen (and maybe the idea of getting moved into a vacuum? ) so a lot of the instrument choices are key in making these signature, rather than the key signatures making these signature, although that happens a bit too. Catching ghosts to banjo vs. a glockenspiel vs. a piano, these themes all give a bunch of personality to the ghosts. This is only piano, so I tried to sweep the themes that are very different, but you know, I also picked the ones I really like.
so here's a medley of several of the ghost catching themes from Luigi's Mansion 3 and two takes on the Virtual Boo theme
I transcribed this from music from Luigi's Mansion 3, by Chad York and Darren Radtke, and I think it's appropriate to mention Kazumi Totaka of Luigi's Mansion 1
thanks for listening, SLuigis Mansion 3: Amadeus Wolfgeists Performance, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-10-31 | He seems grumpy, but Luigi is interrupting his virtuosity, after all. I like to think this guy is friends with Melody.
(Also, when I first saw this guy, I thought for sure his name was going to be Boodvig Van Beethoven, so it's a really good thing that I don't name the ghosts, because Amadeus Wolfgeist is a stellar name.)
Spoilers ahead: this does not include the theme of Amadeus fighting you as the piano, this is Amadeus's performance that goes on before he leaves the stage to fight you in person. I called my arrangement "Stage Fright."
I love video game stages and fights where you're actually getting an on-screen musical accompaniment, and this is just about as perfect as that gets. This ghostly pianist is right there playing his way through the battle, speeding up as he throws more chairs, literally playing a change when you're vacuuming up his ballet dancers. It's a lot of fun.
I don't know about some of the jumps I wrote in, though -I guess ghostly pianists don't have to worry about corporeal stretches?
I transcribed this from music from Luigi's Mansion 3, by composers Chad York and Darren Radtke
Thanks for listening, -SCode Vein - All of You, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-10-02 | haven't played yet - the game, that is - but the music is very beautiful
I arranged this from the piece "All of You" composed by Go Shiina, from the game Code Vein
thanks for listening, -SHollow Knight - Daughter of Hallownest, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-10-01 | back to the beautiful Hollow Knight soundtrack. I like very much this new version of Hornet's theme. sorry about some of these runs?
I transcribed this from "Daughter of Hallownest" by Christopher Larkin from the game Hollow Knight
thanks for listening, -SMonster Hunter World: Iceborne - Seliana (Day), piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-09-23 | a theme that makes me want to curl up on the cushions of a window seat at an inn and sip hot chocolate while I watch the snow fall
This is a gorgeous theme for a snowy outpost. It's lovely, but also comforting. There's a few very quiet moments that make me think of snowflakes drifting down. There's also a reliability in the way a lot of the phrases end that I think gives this piece a sense of a supporting bedrock feeling. Despite the harsh snowy conditions and the beasts surrounding, this outpost stands and will stand, and you can always return there after a long day.
I arranged this based on music from MHW: Iceborne the composers for that game's soundtrack are Akihiko Narita and Zhenlan Kang.
thanks for listening, SUndertale - MEGALOVANIA, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-09-09 | That's the face of someone who has listened to Megalovania many, many times. Because, despite everything, I'm still me- and I love this track.
What is to say about Megalovania that has not already been said....but that's the attitude that had me pretty close to not making this in the first place. I always think that if anybody wants to make their own transcription or cover or whatever it's always good to put more music in the world, but I was a bit unsure, because there are already a lot of very good transcriptions for this.
So, as is going to be pretty clear from the second beat onwards (those first five notes are very deceptive) this is not a straight transcription. Partly, there's a lot of very good ones of those already, and partly I wanted to do more my own thing for this one, since I have a lot of familiarity with the music.
I had a lot of fun with this, I'm happy with how it came out. (somebody asked on another video -this is not me playing, this is the computer playing. thank you, computer)
This is based on the Smash one, -congrats Toby Fox! -especially for the middle section and end solo, but again, not intended to be a perfect capture of that piece.
thanks for listening, -SA Hat in Time: Oh Its You, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-09-05 | "Not a bad choice! This piece should be a breeze! You're leaving all the difficult sheet music for the other transcribers, though, which is really rude when you think about it."
I like this guy, and all the music he shows up with. much like the fire spirits, he seems to be grooving to his own theme
I wanted to work another piece in here to extend this, and my original plan for his boss fight music, but it wasn't as clean a fit as I was hoping for. The badge seller's music, however, was exactly what I wanted, so you'll hear that towards the end of things.

thanks for listening, -SSpecter of Torment: The Price of Doing Business, piano sheetsSphallolalia (Sphallolalia)2019-09-03 | this began as a transcription of the Iron Whale music from Shovel Knight's campaign, which is a more uplifting - buoyant, even? - piece, but realized I wanted the drama of Specter Knight's version.
Maybe I'll do another take with the upcoming Kingly version later? I'm royally excited for that OST.
I transcribed this from music composed by Jake Kaufman, from Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment (that piece in turn is based on Manami Matsumae's A Thousand League's Below- I'm not sure how many layers this goes back but I think it's appropriate)

to borrow my own description on the Thunder video: I feel this piece has a very beautiful and fitting title. The music goes between moments filled with the fierce determination to seek victory on a battlefield, and moments of nostalgia, a bittersweet longing for the past, regret that this is the present. So, the listener and player is between a "heaven," their memories of their friends and wishing that it could all go back to how it used to be, and "earth," the reality that is the battle of the present, and that they must win.
In this, the rain version, it doesn't lack for resolve, but compared to the thunder, there are more moments that are quieter, thoughtful. If thunder has more of the resolve to action, this rain version has maybe more the regret the characters feel at the current situation. This makes for a truly dramatic ending when, after one last quiet lamenting section, the music swells for a determined finish, and I tried to end dramatically as well.
