Rented Garden Transformation (AFTER-ish) Vince.Plants 2024-10-04 | Recorded September 2024.When I uploaded the BEFORE video: youtube.com/watch?v=W4amFnijnnc&t=94sI had no idea that this transformation journey would be cut short.Despite agreeing to a long-term tenancy, the landlord issued us a Section 21 notice.Therefore I was unable to start some of the changes I had in my mind and a lot of the garden remains unfinished.I have put so much time, effort and money into the garden over the last 2 years that I felt I still needed to do some kind of after video, it would be unfair not to.So, this is the after-ish video. Taken almost 2 years to the day after the first video.This is by no means a complete transformation, but I wanted to capture how it looked in the Summer of 2024.A sad end, but this is the nature of renting.
Rented Garden Transformation (BEFORE) Vince.Plants 2024-06-24 | This is a video taken in September 2022, when we first moved into the property.I had imagined a 5 year plan in my head:Year 1 (Sept 2022 - Sept 2023)Created the foundations of the design, put in young shrubs/perennials to establish over years 1, 2 and 3.Build pergola. Install a pond.Year 2 (Sept 2023 - Sept 2024)Complete the borders, see how well things have grown, fill in with more perennials.Build arbour, archway, buy garden furniture to create seating area. Install water butt(s).Year 3 (Sept 2024 - Sept 2025)Tackle the back of the garden (beyond the pond), add a compost bin, greenhouse.Fill in spaces more over the spring/summer.Year 4 (Sept 2025 - Sept 2026)Start a GYO area with raised beds down the side of the house, leading into the main garden area.Also have a cuttings area which I can use to propagate plants and give away to our neighboursYear 5 (Sept 2026 - onwards)Maintain, and enjoy :)

The Syndicate, Blackpool - DJ FUBAR, Last set as resident DJ, 27.02.10 Vince.Plants 2015-06-15 | I grew up in Blackpool and turned 18 the same year that The Syndicate opened in 2002. I probably had over 200 nights out there between 2002 and the very last night. Some drunk, some drugged, and some completely sober, as by the end I had developed a love for trance music and rave culture that transcended any social convention for drinking. Me and two friends were there on the night that this was recorded in February 2010 - two of the most committed ravers I know! We stayed on the revolving dancefloor from the very first track to the very last, and left covered in sweat, but euphoric. I loved The Syndicate so much that sometimes if nobody was going out I would just go alone. I never had a bad night there.Pulling was also secondary to raving and I rejected many advances from girls (as well as guys) over the years. I must have been asked for pills on 25 different occasions too. Some even expressed shock when I told them I was actually sober!Thank you Syndicate, DJ Fubar, and all of the great acts that played there over the years. These were some of the best memories of my youth!!! P.S. If anyone can provide track ID's I'll add them to the video.
