I created this mashup from the original multitracks of both "Sweet Home
Alabama" by Lynrd Skynrd and "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon.
This project required a strenuous amount of time stretching in order to
work, and even more was needed to fix all the syncing issues.

This sped/pitched-up version of the song was made by playing a 48 kHz sample rate at 44.1 kHz.

Trisagion Hymn №1

After composing my Great Ectenia, I was asked to compose a simple Trisagion Hymn that could easily be chanted by the choir at church, so I composed this one. I was also asked to compose a Simple Ectenia for our choir to sing as well.

Херувимская Песнь №1 (Cherubic Hymn №1)

I composed this score in the summer of 2024. The piece is inspired by both Lvosky's Cherubic Hymn & Smolensky's arrangement of the "Streletskaya" Cherubic Hymn. I began by first composing mm11-12 (the tenor feature followed by the bass feature). One oddity of this piece is the similar motion between the alto & tenor instead of one of these two moving with the soprano for most of the piece (at the beginning, the sopranos and bass move together instead). Page 3 has variations of the first two pages (including a change of harmony (but *not* the melody in the 5th measure of the musical sequence), and the bass part gets more fun after the entrance (before the Alleluia).

The Slavonic version features the tenor on the third page, where the other three voices say "отложимъ" while the tenor responds with "попеченiе". I first typeset this piece in English, so this feature in the Slavonic version was a clever way to deal with the disparity of syllables in the phrase.

NOTE: I sang this one in Db (to be in a natural range for the monks) but notated it in G to make it easy to read.

When I visited Saint Herman's Monastery in Platina, CA in 2025, the
monks asked me to set the following hymn for Blessed Seraphim, which
they had been singing in Byzantine Tone 8, to Znamenny chant:

O our wise and meek Father Seraphim
righteous monk of the last times
teacher of the Holy Fathers and the Scriptures,
whose constant council was humility,
intercede before Christ God
with all the saints, that our souls may be saved!

Recently, I showed the four-part version of this version to one of the
monks, and he asked me to record this two-part version for the abbot to
compare it to the Znamenny version.

Molochs Forest

I composed this solo piano piece for a class back when I was in university. The piece is inspired by a documentary where someone sneaked into the Bohemian Grove. The preface and subtitle in the score have been modified compared to the score that was submitted to the professor. The Program Note reads as follows:

"Moloch’s Forest is a piece about exploring the Bohemian Grove, which is dedicated to Moloch, a Canaanite false god. The Canaanites would sacrifice children in his name. An explorer decides to visit the grove and eventually escapes but not after witnessing a horrific, evil ritual performed in front of a statue of Moloch."

At the time, I did not have sheet music for the proper Znamenny melodies for Troparia [I assume the hymn is either a Troparion or a Kontakion], so I began with setting this hymn to Tone 8 Russo-Greek (I've also heard it called Taichkov Tone 8).

The Znamenny version of this hymn is on my website and will eventually be uploaded to this platform.
