I have finally finished this one, I think I made most of it in one day, then proceeded to never touch it again until 54 whole days later (✨productivity✨). The song was already like 90 squares long so all I did was add an anticlimactic and probably unfitting (because my ahh took 54 DAMN DAYS TO COME BACK TO IT!!) ending to it. Still good enough I guess...The theme was supposed to be dizzyness, hence the "up and down" title. I would make it go left and right too, but I made most of this thing with my speakers so panning would've been hella difficult to make. Even with headphones I think it would be too much for me, too complicated for my smooth brain, too much micromanaging... The character getting pixelated is not a filter, i had to draw 4 different versions of the same character, and animate all of them simultaneously to the entire segment, then keyframe the opacity to make them appear in sequence. To flip certain parts i exported the video, opened the exported video and continued editing in that one, then export again for the final/finished version.
