2D Animation Showreel 2023! SleepyGrim 2023-05-17 | Howdy! This year was my last at university! Unfortunately I was unable to complete my third year due to life problems but the experience I've gained during my time here has been invaluable. Not just in what I've been able to achieve while here, but also the amazing friends I've made who have helped me in so many ways. I'm very proud to consider them my found family. This showreel is a compilation of my best stuff (in my opinion) from recent years. I do wish I could have done more and see the peak of what I'm really capable of (a limit I do not yet think I have shown yet), but I did my best despite my less than ideal circumstances. At the moment I'm hopeful to say that I'm making progress in terms of figuring out my future and how I can live with my disabilities. Once I feel stable and have made enough progress with healing, I hope that I can join the animation industry and fulfil my dream of creating animated music videos and other animated projects :) Wish me luck!(btw there's some animation from a meme I started a while ago but haven't managed to finish yet. For those interested, this character's name is Ventra. She's a dnd character that I haven't been able to play yet but I can't wait till I can. She's a Siren Tempest Cleric with generational trauma and very strong emotions. Slight continuity error in the video, but Siren's actually can't fly when they're sad but can sing sad songs that have negative status effects on people. Herbal Hike - Short Film SleepyGrim 2022-05-25 | Story:Nym and Larkin set out on a journey together to find a mysterious flower, only to be caught by surprise.----------------------------------------------------------------- I made a film for my second year of uni! like I've said, I've been busy ;u;I'm so proud of what me and my friend managed to accomplish with this film despite the setbacks and our bad mental health problems. A lot of the original idea was cut, but it was worth it to create a film that looks finished. Maybe one day we'll return to it and include the cut content. Don't hold your breath though, we're both very tired. This film is about something we both love and something that kept us sane for the past few years, Dungeons and Dragons! ft my character Nymphadora Laburnum, the Lago Wildfire Druid, and his character Larkin Abershaw the Rodere Ranger. There was only two of us on the animation team for this film (perhaps a mistake), but we did a great job and we owe so much to the freelancers who helped us! Especially Rory who comped the whole film for us like a legend! And our music producer who did all of the music and sound effects too! I'm still going to be busy with uni work and sorting out my mental health (still, guh), but I'm defiantly inspired to animate again and I hope to make more videos! especially with all the support and love I've been getting on tiktok too :) Hopefully I'll be able to create a showreel of all the animation work I've done this year like the last one.

She has quite a tragic tale but there is beauty in the darkness.Desolo Zantas is an amazing musician who commissioned me a while back. we got to chatting and it turns out he's a super cool guy and he offered to create a piece of music for me. I gave him an image and brief description of Kaida and he created this song which suits her personality and story perfectly! I say this is a collaboration of sorts as I ended up painting this digital piece inspired by the song inspired by the character. Desolo then generously animated the image like you see here. I've recorded several drawings but the program would crash, or the video file was lost or I did it in the wrong format ahhhh.yea, lots of small little problems. But in case you weren't aware, I finish college in a few months ahh! working on my final project now.
