LEGO Jurassic World: The Game Soundtrack - The Jurassic World Levels - Chad Seiter JURASSIC TIME 2024-07-30 | The rare unreleased soundtrack for the game by Chad Seiter.Back in 2015, the game "LEGO Jurassic World" came out when the Jurassic World film was released (on the PC and various consoles). It covered four films in one game: Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park 3, & of course Jurassic World. However, while Rob Westwood composed most of the game’s music for the original trilogy, Chad Seiter composed the music for the fourth film’s levels. He has worked closely with the Jurassic World trilogy composer Michael Giacchino and adapted some of the first film's themes into this game score. LEGO Jurassic World: The Game Soundtrack - The Jurassic Park Levels - Rob Westwood JURASSIC TIME 2024-07-30 | The rare unreleased soundtrack for the game by Rob Westwood.Back in 2015, the game "LEGO Jurassic World" came out when the Jurassic World film was released (on the PC and various consoles). However, some files came from the composer's website and Soundcloud (such as the first track, an extended version of Jurassic Park 3's wonderful hub music that I thought was the best way to start the entire edit). Most of the track names are derived from the levels/sections they are associated with, although some creativity was also used. They appear in chronological order (sans the first track), and I also designated which film section they are from with their initials. Most of the game files were made to be looped, which I often would only have them loop once then create a fadeout. There are no sound effects.It should be noted that the Jurassic Park levels also featured John Williams tracks in the mix (and The Lost World's main theme in that section), but none of that material is present here (nor should it be; I don't think any of you would be interested in edits of OST material). From what I recall, the only omissions I made from Westwood's score were extremely short zingers & music statements that were often simply a single note and dramatic hit points than really part of the score. I am sure this edit isn't perfect, but at least now this score exists apart from the game in a listenable form. Jurassic Storyboards - Jurassic Park: Main Road T-Rex Attack (1990) JURASSIC TIME 2024-06-28 | Perhaps the most famous sequence from JURASSIC PARK, this 1990 version of the Main Road T-Rex Attack is the first version of the classic sequence, depicting how it was portrayed in the novel. After the power to the park goes out, the guests are stuck on the main road in their tour vehicles... right outside the T-Rex paddock. With the fences no longer electrified, the massive dinosaur breaks out and wrecks havoc during the rainy night. The Real Jurassic Park - Documentary – 1993 JURASSIC TIME 2024-06-24 | Here is an amazing documentary from 1993 that centers around how one would go about cloning dinosaurs, if it really were possible, what to do with the dinosaurs if they were realized, and if it was even ethical to begin with. It's hosted by Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm from the film), and features author Michael Crichton, director Steven Spielberg, and the paleontologists who worked on the film; Jack Horner and Robert T. Bakker. While the focus on the documentary is primarily the fascinating questions and the proposed science, for fans of the film there are some unique glimpses of behind the scenes material and more. A real treat of a documentary that was only ever released on VHS, and worth preserving. Jurassic Storyboards - Jurassic Park: Early Raptor Rotunda Scenes JURASSIC TIME 2024-06-21 | Various early raptor sequences in the rotunda from JURASSIC PARK. "Raptor VS Spitter Umbrella (Original Version With Artwork)" features the first version of a cool gag. Tim creates the ultimate distraction against a raptor with an umbrella that features a Spitter's face. It scares the raptor, allowing him and Lex to escape. "Raptors In Rotunda (Version 1)" is the first fully-realized version of the raptors attacking the kids amongst the rotunda's skeleton displays. This was before it was the climax of the movie, and is meant to be just an obstacle leading up to it. "Raptors In Rotunda (Partial Version 2)" is another variation of the same idea but with some differences. "Raptor VS Sattler In Rib Cage (Partial)" is likely meant to be part of the film's climax, with Ellie using a T-Rex's skeleton hand to fend off a raptor.Featuring production artwork by Marty Kline, Tom Cranham, & John Bell. Jurassic Park - The Ride: E! Live Premiere Special (June 15, 1996) JURASSIC TIME 2024-06-17 | Jurassic Park - The Ride's gates may be closed forever... but here at Jurassic Time, we would rather look back to when it first opened! What better way to do that than the most 90s way possible: a TV special featuring endless celebs, Steven Spielberg, some exclusive footage that gets teased endlessly, Jeff Goldblum, and the crazy hosts that guide you through it all! A lot of people are getting wet, except for Steven Spielberg: he gets to step off the boat before the drop. True story.This E! special brings back a ton of memories. I remember recording this off the TV (June 15, 1996) as it happened, desperately wanting to actually go there and ride it myself. It wasn't until sometime later that I was finally able to.It's a pretty light and often cheesy special that mostly features the various celebrities as they get off the ride describe how it was during the premiere. You'll see David Hasselhoff, Noah Wyle, Jonathan Brandis (RIP), director Robert Rodriguez, and more. Christina Ferrare mentions that she actually rode on the ride with "John Hammond" (Richard Attenborough)!You'll also see Steven Spielberg at the inauguration ceremony and a brief word with him afterward, as well as Jeff Goldblum, Ariana Richards, and Joseph Mazzello.As for the ride itself, you do see some brief behind the scenes moments and ride footage, a good amount exclusive to this special. They even show off some of the ride's merchandise (most that are no longer present there), including t-shirts in a box shaped like the boat, a hard hat with flashlight, a toy gun, and others.The actual content here is pretty low, but the nostalgia is wonderful; brimming with the excitement that is definitely present with the stars just out there having fun with it. Jeff Goldblum in-particular was quite amusing. This ride was a milestone when it opened, and the premiere was made even better with money going toward the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation.The beginning of the special is slightly cut off; I guess I didn't hit "record" right away back when this aired, although it's hardly any loss. Oh, and yes, I did remove the commercial breaks.Hope you all enjoy this trip back in time. This is a fun way to remember the ride that lasted from 1996 to 2018. John Bells Jurassic Park Production Photos JURASSIC TIME 2024-06-11 | John Bell, the art director of JURASSIC PARK, has a special treat for fans this #JurassicJune! The film came out over 30 years ago and we are still rediscovering artifacts of its creation! Between 1991 and 1992, John Bell took several reference photos of nature, a Jeep, and a power station that were used to help create the film's visual aesthetics. He also visited Stan Winston Studios during the creation of small maquettes and snapped some shots. But the most fascinating images to see are undoubtedly glimpses of the set for the Visitor Center, the interior of the maintenance shed, and the "Montana" set with the faux raptor skeleton! Chaos Island - The Lost World: Jurassic Park PC Game Unreleased Soundtrack Promo (Michael Giacchino) JURASSIC TIME 2024-06-03 | Michael Giacchino's never-before-released soundtrack for the PC game 'Chaos Island - The Lost World: Jurassic Park.' The 1997 game was released the same year as his score to 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park' Playstation game. While the latter was praised and boasted for being among the first scores to feature a real orchestra in a video game, 'Chaos Island' didn't receive the same attention and was not as popular. The Playstation game's soundtrack by Giacchino was released on CD, with 'Chaos Island' represented on it with three of its tracks edited into a "hidden bonus track." However, while there was much more to this score, it never received its own release.However, there was a promotional album that was quietly released. Unfortunately it is quite rare. Rather then let the music be locked into a game that is no longer playable on modern machines, Jurassic Time has decided to give Jurassic Park fans a chance to bask in Giacchino's early score that truly deserves a listen.It's a fantastic score; propulsive, percussion-heavy, and rhythmic. The game was a WarCraft-style top-down strategy game, so most of the time the music is meant to just be present in the background to engage you in your missions rather than illustrate specific moments. However, select tracks, such as "Ian's Journey to the Island" and "Between A Rex And A HMV" are part of the few in-game cinematics. Most of the "mission briefing" music, during segments of the cast of 'The Lost World' instructing you before each level with a unique backstory, are also included within many of the tracks. The final track, "The Chaos Overture," is a lengthy 12 minute representation of the entire score and was seemingly not included in the game (and no, this was not the hidden bonus track on the Playstation score's CD). Jurassic Storyboards - Jurassic Park: Spitter Sequence (Final Version) JURASSIC TIME 2024-05-24 | Dennis Nedry has stolen the dinosaur embryos from JURASSIC PARK's Visitor Center and is now racing to the East Dock in time before the ship leaves. However, the slick road sends his Jeep sliding to the edge of an embankment, stuck in the mud. During an effort to free his vehicle in time, Nedry gets spooked by a Dilophosaurus... a dinosaur who has earned the nickname of "Spitter". This "Final Version" of the sequence, sourced from the original "Making Of Jurassic Park" book, adds several new boards throughout while replacing many other ones from the earlier versions. While the boards are in the worst quality here, they do most closely match what ended up in the film. Jurassic Storyboards - Jurassic Park: Jeep Escape From T-Rex (Sattler Driving) JURASSIC TIME 2024-05-17 | The T-Rex chasing after the jeep in JURASSIC PARK was a short but pulse-pounding sequence. In this version Ellie Sattler drives the jeep, with Robert Muldoon in the passenger seat and Ian Malcolm in the back. In David Koepp's early drafts, Sattler drives the jeep instead of Muldoon. It's unsure why she was switched later on; perhaps because Muldoon works at the park. Despite being lower quality, more boards were found for this version, fleshing out the sequence. Based on the early drafts by David Koepp, this version has Grant and the others escaping from the ceiling onto a Condor Lift that they use to crush an attacking raptor into the jaws of a T-Rex skeleton. Jurassic Park: The Original RPG Book Artwork JURASSIC TIME 2024-04-15 | JURASSIC PARK: The Role Playing Game Book was created in 1993 and released in Japan. This official book never had an English language release, and it is very hard to find today without paying high third party sellers. The book was written by J.P. Crews and illustrated by Yoshiki Okada. Some illustrations are reproductions of art that was made for the film (storyboards, concept art, film stills, etc) by production artists. It is interesting to see these different interpretations of the same art!This special video contains all of the artwork that was made exclusively for the book by Yoshiki Okada, with music by Bernard A. Discover an unknown history behind the most famous dinosaur ever featured on film. Tim Lawrence was the first to design the Tyrannosaurus Rex for the classic movie. He worked on special creature effects for films like Ghostbusters 2, Harry and the Hendersons, & Gremlins 2. Tim was a man of many talents, and great aspirations, until he sadly passed away in 2019.During his career, Tim Lawrence was one of the first people employed for Steven Spielberg’s film adaptation of the Michael Crichton novel: JURASSIC PARK. At this time, he helped create the very first incarnation of Jurassic Park’s Tyrannosaurs Rex. Despite this milestone, after the film went on hiatus during Spielberg’s production of HOOK, Tim was replaced by Stan Winston for unknown reasons. But the story of Tim Lawrence’s time on Jurassic Park is still one that should be remembered. It’s an important piece of the film’s history; one that has never been told in any book or program.Years before his death, Tim listed several auctions of his Jurassic Park items on eBay. He provided several pictures and context for all of them, and most have never been seen before. Using these sources, and a few others, Derrick Davis has compiled them into a story that are all Tim's words; with short connective phrases to string them together. Voice actor J. Malone respectively recorded them. While this section of the presentation isn’t Tim’s voice, they are his stories.
