The Mandalorian | Luke Skywalkers Return (RESCORED)
updated
It’s finally here!!! I’ve been working on the animation for this for almost 4 months, and I’ve had the idea for my unofficial Ultra Ego theme since I did my Vegeta Medley, which was almost 2 years ago!! So I’ve put a great deal of work into this one :)
So let’s break down the theme itself. I wanted it to feel like a modern Kikuchi Dragon Ball OST in the intro- and following that, I used the piano motif from “A Secret Plan With Ones Life On The Line” from Norihito Sumitomo to build the basis of the theme. We keep returning to those “four notes” throughout the track, which I like to think of as the climactic motif of his Ultra Ego. Maybe everytime he gets the upper hand it plays. The chugging guitar riff is based on the rhythm in “Vegeta - SSJ” from Mike Smith of Faulconer Productions, but I only hinted at the melody, as I still wanted this theme to feel like it was a part of DB Super. The almost thrash metal style speaks to the chaotic quality of Vegeta in this form. I used the dissonant synth from Beerus’ Madness, to represent the god of destruction’s presence. I had to add the bells in, as they are so closely associated with Vegeta- although I will admit I was inspired by Attack on Titan in the way i used them. And finally, I created my own arrangement of “Fierce Battle Against A Mighty Foe” within the bridge- the reason I wanted to use this was because I always loved how much it hyped up the scene where Vegeta was getting the upper hand on Jiren, and I continued to associate it with him after that. The slowness, in my version, demonstrates his godly control over this situation.
The animation is not 100% perfect but I really enjoyed making it, and I think it’s my best work so far. I’m still a novice but I will get better. I took images straight from the manga, and tried to direct how I think it might play out cinematically. The only overt thing i would want to improve was the art style consistency between shots, particularly the turnaround. For the rotation, I used a 3D model of Vegeta, put it into blender and created an awesome rotating camera movement. Then, I exported that camera movement, brought the pngs into procreate and painstakingly drew and painted over every frame of that sequence (60-70 frames in total!! This part definitely took the longest. After completing that, I compiled all my animations and used after effects and premiere to composite everything together. I used a bunch of fx assets from Motion Array, Envato Elements and Vecteezy.
I’m probably not gonna make another one of these epic animations for a while, as they take so long! But it has taught me so much and prepared me for my own original animated film I want to make one day. I’m over half way storyboarding it, and the music is on my channel if you want to listen to it as it is :)
This is it here:

Anyway, thanks for reading, watching, listening and supporting my channel!! ☺️ True Ultra Instinct (I’ve named my theme, “My Hearts Not Calm”) is coming next!

Based on my original theme for Granolah, which you can listen to here:
youtu.be/cFhp95H_-AY?si=Kh236JIGOy-IQ1_k
I wanted to create the version that would play during his tragic backstory, and subsequently, the awakening of his second red eye. Using the same melodies and motifs, we explore the depths of Granolahs pain, and the motivation behind his revenge.
This is 1/8 videos/themes for the Granolah arc that I'll be posting over the next couple months.

Shoutout to @genetic_lemon , @ogbomb7687 , @Oataro , @hightidekraken , @gegsthename , @JakesterBoss300 , @heh9177 , @sammh444 for recommending this. This is probably one of my favorite piece of music in all of Dragon Ball.
Many of us have made the observation about the parallels between Goku and Superman, especially in the retelling of Goku's send off to earth by his parents. I can't say how intentional it was, but what has stunned me more than anything; more than the similarity in the story between Kakarot and Kal-El, is the score. "Bardock Falls" by Norihito Sumitomo and "Goodbye My Son" by Hans Zimmer are not only in the same key, but share a similar, otherworldly, yet sorrowful and personal feeling- and I am profoundly amazed that two composers, from two different cultures, made very close musical decisions to each other to present these scenes. A cynical take would be to say it was the studio imposing their will on the soundtrack, demanding it to feel reminiscent to Man Of Steel, reflecting the similarity of each story. But I think it's much deeper than that. I think deep down, there are words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs and entire chapters in the musical language represented by notes, chords, progressions, melodies & harmonies that communicate things we don't always know how to articulate in words, but we feel incredibly deeply. I believe there is no coincidence in the musical decisions of two composers half way across the world, choosing the express the reluctant departure of a child from a distant galaxy, at the devastation of his parents who had no other choice.
I liked to imagine when Goku finally remembers his parents, we may hear a version of Bardock Falls, as this is the piece that plays the last time he sees them. The first part of this piece (Goku Remembers) I composed as an ode to that. I was definitely inspired by Han Zimmer on this.

Some notes:
- In Goku Battles, there are a few moments that stop and start that I took out of my arrangement. I wanted to keep the momentum up so I made the decision to close them up and focus on the main riff.
- For Vegeta Fights Frieza, I did another round of the whole track as a second half, where I added some extra chords to add more progression.
- I decided to keep Piccolo Vs. 17 the same, which made for a short track, but it could only have been extended effectively if I wrote a whole new part for it which I didn't have time to do.
- I mixed and arranged Goku & Gohan Train and Goku Trains For Buu together for my remake.
Also, I didn’t put as much effort into the visuals for this video as I do with my other videos, since this one was much longer. But I hope you enjoy my redrawings of some of these classic DBZ moments.

It's been a year since I first read the manga and imagined a melody for Moro. I really wanted to take my time with this theme, as this character deserves to treated with as much care as possible. There's a lot I can say about my attempt to create his music. To focus on a couple things, I really wanted to put an emphasis on his magic. The first idea that came up in my head was the arpegiattor I used in Scott Morgans Pikkon theme; even though he wasn't a magical character there was still something very mystical about the way his theme made him feel. I thought this was an excellent way to bring about that kind of sorcery that we experience with Moro. Secondly, this demonic being is said to be 10,000,000 years old; I created an ancient choir using my own voice and a sample library of Bulgarian choir singers to emit a dark, otherworldly chant. Thirdly, it was very important that the main horn melody felt like it was straight out of the Kikuchi score, but modern feeling. I feel like some of this was achieved through Yamamoto's score for DBZ Kai, but that was before we were blessed by Sumitomo's score for DB Super: Broly, and Satō's more electronic leaning score for DB Super: Super Hero. I was replying to a comment the other day about how I very much aim to mix all my favorite DB composers styles in my unofficial themes. Through all of the composers styles, I try to triangulate the sound of modern Dragon Ball, with my own stylistic addition too. It's truly wonderful because there's so much material to draw from! In my opinion, I even think that Sumitomo unconsciously or consciously made some tracks in his score for DB Super that sounded like it could have come from the Faulconer Productions score.
Anyway, I could go on forever about this stuff!! Please, enjoy the final Unofficial Theme of my Moro Arc series!
Oh, and also enjoy my brief animated intro, showcasing Goku's first encounter with Moro.

We were first introduced to the Galactic Patrol through Jaco, but in the Moro Arc we get to meet more of them, including Merus. I've already written a theme for Merus, and I've based some of the theme I wrote off my unofficial theme for him. You can check out here:
MERUS, GALACTIC PATROL AGENT - youtu.be/3GAxbQCZ1y4
I had a lot of fun making this track. I had a real potent daydream about composing for dragon ball while doing so. Since it’s so incredibly unlikely, making these unofficial themes is my way of living that dream out for myself, and sharing the music of those dreams with you.
Hope you enjoy my original fan made theme!

I really wanted to make a theme for him, something technological sounding, but also menacing. The main distorted-lead synth motif is what we hear when OG73 grasps the neck of someone, copying their techniques. After hearing the more electronic aspects of the OST for DBS: Super Hero, I felt like I had permission to revive the me of 12 years ago, back when I used to make EDM and dubstep.
Enjoy this original, fan made theme!

To this day, we aren't 100% sure who composed & performed "Rock The Dragon". It is said that Jeremy Sweet did the vocals, but we aren’t clear on who actually wrote/produced it. I copy and pasted this from Dragon Ball Wiki:
On Dragon Ball Z: Original USA Television Soundtrack, the composers are listed as being Shuki Levy (the head of Saban Entertainment's music department) and Haim Saban, under the alias Kussa Mahehi. The original dub of Dragon Ball Z's first two seasons, which ran in syndication between September 1996 and May 1998, also listed Levy and Mahehi as the composers in the end credits.
Saban Entertainment musician Jeremy Sweet sung the song, despite him only being listed as a music producer in the credits. Sweet is known for creating various Power Rangers theme songs for Saban in the late 1990s and early 2000s, where he often went uncredited. Many believe that Ron Wasserman, who did the first Power Rangers theme and the 1990s X-Men theme, was also involved with the song in an uncredited capacity due to his association with Saban. Wasserman is listed alongside Sweet as a music producer in the credits, but has denied having any involvement with "Rock the Dragon", stating that he only did the background music for Funimation and Saban's edited dub of the first two Dragon Ball Z seasons. In a 2017 interview he said, "First of all in Dragon Ball Z with “Rock the Dragon” that isn’t me, I know a lot of people think it is. What I did is the score for the first couple years [and] that was handed to me after I left Saban by Saban because they said, 'Look here is a show we don’t really care about, so If you just want to score it at home, score it.' So it was an easy gig and I got to do whatever I wanted, so I went with this really heavy, weird stuff." However, Wasserman's background score for the episodes still had certain instrumental musical cues which were modeled after "Rock the Dragon".

I recreated and merged "Beerus Madness" from DB Super, "Struggling Against A God" and "Life To Be Protected from Battle Of Gods to make this arrangement. I tossed around calling it the "Theme Of Destruction", or "Hymn Of Destruction", which one do you think sounds better? ;)
Years ago I recorded a Duduk player when I was in Israel, but it’s been so long I can’t remember his name, and unfortunately I never got his contacts as he was organised through the company I was working with at the time- otherwise I would credit him. But I used some of the recordings I did of him and made it part of this piece. The god of destruction design reminds me of Egyptian imagery so I wanted to bring some of that feeling into it.

I recreated Jirens Theme (Jirens Power Unleashed/Desperate Plan) and made it more somber to go with his tragic backstory. I also used Unwinnable Battle and Fearsome Foe to represent his terrifyingly unstoppable power as an adult.
For the art, I redrew some of the scenes from Jirens Backstory in the episode 127 “The Approaching Wall”, and edited in a few clips from the episode itself.
I called it The Ballad Of Jiren The Grey as a reference to the Ballades of the classical era, but also in reference to slow, emotional power ballads of the modern era.

Now that I've had time to stop crying, I've been thinking about why I feel the way I did and still do about Akira Toriyama's masterpiece, Dragon Ball. And honestly, it's hard to put into words. I don't know exactly what happened in my childhood that created the perfect conditions for me to discover Dragon Ball and be so captivated by its story. I suppose I found some kind of refuge in it; seeing the legend of the Super Saiyan come true showed me the potential of transformation in the face of all that is hopeless.
In my adult life, when I needed it the most, it came back to me, through the music. Four years ago I had a psychosis. My mind was on the verge of coming apart, and I thought I was going to lose my grip on reality all together. I was in Egypt at the time, 10000 miles away from home. Earlier I had cached the DBZ Soundtrack on my Spotify, and I played SSJ Transformation from Faulconer Productions off my phone while I was in the shower, feeling like the demons were coming for me. In my head, it was like I was standing on an island, staring down Frieza, and the only way to move forward was to transform. It helped me, maybe even saved me from this darkness that was emerging within me.
Having thought about it immensely since then, I believe that stories live inside us, we model ourselves after them and they guide our own story. When I was afflicted by my psychosis, my ability to recognize patterns increased dramatically, as well as my creativity. At best, it was like I had super powers, but at worst I was a paranoid wreck. A battle had begun in my psyche, and I was almost lost. But the foundation of who I am: watching DBZ when I was a kid; for a moment like that, I couldn't have asked for a better story to guide me out of the dark and into the light. There truly is so much heart in Dragon Ball, and it seems that thank you will never be enough for what Toriyama created.
He taught me through Gohan, that you shouldn't be so hard on yourself when you fail, and just because you've stepped away from what you're good at for a while doesn't mean that you can't return potentially better than before.
He taught me through Trunks, that there's not enough darkness in this world that can block out all the light that comes from deep in your heart. If you have to go back into your past and seek the help from parts of your self to help you move forward; that's nothing to be ashamed of.
He taught me through Vegeta and Piccolo, that even those who are considered evil can be redeemed. At a closer glance, that evil comes from a place of desperately trying to subdue their own world by inflicting pain on others, to reunite with their true selves before they were taught to be that way.
And he taught me through Goku, that even when the walls are closing in, or the evil is 1000000 times stronger than you, that you don't give up because there is always strength inside waiting to be unleashed. Nobody gets to tell you what your limits are.
Thank you, forever Toriyama-Sensei. Your story will live on forever. And I bloody mean that. Have fun with the Kais, The Destroyers and Grand Zeno!
A SYMPHONY FOR TORIYAMA:
I wanted to use Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku as the basis for my Symphony; I'd never heard a choir sing the lyrics with the slower version used in the SSJ4 transformation before, so with the help of my friend Antonia Brightwell (who sung for me on Broly's Symphony), we created a choir together with hers and my voice. Each piece put together created a medley, and with each piece is a different theme/s:
Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku (Izumi Sakai and Tetsurō Oda) - Childhood, Generations
Universes Restored/Vegetas Sacrifice (Norihito Sumitomo) - The Echo Of Battle
Mystical Journey (Takeshi Ike, Seiichi Kyōda, Onikado Izumi) - The Story Of Dragon Ball, Friendship
We Were Angels (Takeshi Ike, Osamu Tozuka, Yukinojō Mori) - The Story Of Dragon Ball Z, Gohan's Rage
SSJ3 Powerup (Julius Dobos)- Transformation
Compromise (Norihito Sumitomo) - The Story Of Dragon Ball Super, Victory, Peace
Universes Restored (Reprise) - The Tournament Of Power, Breaking Limits
Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku (Reprise) - Sacrifice, Love
It was a lot of work making the video and art (I like to think that the choir singing Dan Dan Kokoro in my musical piece is the characters themselves singing). But I would accept nothing less when it came to making a Tribute for the man who's work was the greatest influence in my life. I tried my best to color correct each clip too, some were a bit too far gone though. Enjoy.

I'm slowly working my way through some the greatest Hironobu Kageyama DBZ tracks. This is one of those ones where after covering it, I realized how freakin awesome it is. When I'm remaking a track I really get to intimately know it because I'm listening to and recreating every little detail my ears are able to pick up. There's something magical about the melodies that Kageyama comes up with, they're simple and straightforward by todays standards, yet his vocal performance puts so much power behind them. Like with my Unmei No Hi cover, and my Cha-La one too, it's a fun challenge to try and bring that same amount of energy through my instrumental versions.

And thank you Akira Toriyama, may you rest in peace 🧡
In the beginning, I felt it not only appropriate, but moving to use “New Earth Music” as Goku & Gohan both get ready to fight, bowing to each other. This theme is very much associated with Goku, his family and friends. This theme always used to make me emotional when Goku returned from other world and met Goten for the first time, or when he sent Gohan off to fight Buu after attaining his ultimate form.
As they ready themselves, the motif from the original DBZ opening theme “Cha-La Head-Cha-La” comes forth, to call back to Goku's beginnings as a father, but also Gohan's journey to becoming a Z fighter.
The battle starts! The theme of “Gohan Angers”represents Gohan's fire, but also his frustration of letting himself become complacent during peaceful times, however, this time he has learned his lesson, that he has a responsibility to protect his family and to always be ready. He has returned stronger than ever.
I created a new theme following Gohan Angers, that represents the growing power between the father and son, the thrill of battling each other and getting stronger together. I wanted it to feel like Sumitomo’s style, like it could fit in to the Dragon Ball Super anime itself.
But Gohan must remember he is fighting the power of Ultra Instinct; the theme explodes, reminding him of his father’s mastery as a martial artist.
However, Gohan has ascended to a new level also, his Beast form is truly formidable, and we hear the theme from Super Hero to remind us of the what recently took place for Gohan.
And finally, each fighter find themselves locked in, both having the time of their lives, and my slightly faster version of Cha-La expresses their excitement.
I don’t know where the next chapter will take us, but this music is how it made me feel reading it so far 🥹 I had a blast making this piece. Please enjoy this musical celebration of Dragon Ball!

As with Superman Legacy, I was waiting to see who would be cast before making my hypothetical themes for them. When David Corenswet was cast as Superman I quickly got a melody in my head that felt joyous and uplifting. After hearing about Milly Alcock being cast as Supergirl for the DCU, more music started coming to me. I wanted her theme to feel like a "musical cousin" to my Superman Theme, but more feminine as gentle in places, yet as fierce and powerful in others. I used midjourney to make part of the supersuit, but did a lot of editing & photo manipulation work in photoshop and procreate to paint Milly's face into the art. Definitely worked hard on both the music and art in this one and am really proud of it :)
P.s: More Dragon Ball remakes coming I promise!

The soundtrack for Dragon Ball Super: Broly is absolutely glorious, and I think it is some of Norihito Sumitomo's best work. There's so many great themes that I didn't add (including Kakarot Vs Broly, and the theme that plays half way through Broly Begins To Battle which signifies Vegeta's side of the battle) as I wanted the piece to focus on Broly's side of the fight.
I created a new movement as an intro to accompany the other parts of the piece; I like to think of it as Broly’s potential evolution of learning to fight with a calm mind. The duet between my vocal and my friend Antonia’s vocal represents the union of Broly’s raw, grounded strength coming into alignment with his god-like, transcendent power.
Also- I couldn't find an official source for the lyrics of the operatic vocals, apart from a German transcription- which only covered the first part of the vocals of Broly's Rage & Sorrow. The lyrics change in the second part, but no one had transcribed it, so I just repeated the lyrics from the first part. Happy new year everyone, and enjoy!

(I noticed some people have used my art/animation in their videos, which is fine as long as you credit me 👍 thank you)
Where do I start with this one? Firstly I just wanna thank everyone that has subscribed over the last year, it's been truly special being able to share my remakes with you. I wanted to make a very special post to finish the year up, something where I could put all my creative abilities into, so I decided to make a short video using the art from the Moro Arc in the Dragon Ball Super Manga.
Initially I started making a cover of "Limit Breaker x Survivor" which incorporated "Beyond The Limit", then I got carried away and added "Clash Of The Gods/Final Death Match", and the whole musical piece became a story. As I listened to the piece, I read the final chapters of the Moro Arc, and it just felt right; the emotion, the transformation. I, like so many DB fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of DB Super along with this story adapted, so I like to think when they finally do make the anime adaptation of the manga story, it might feel something like this.
It's probably not likely they'll use "Limit Breaker x Survivor", as they will probably write a new theme for the series by then. But I have to say, Sumitomo's work in DB Super is some of the favorite music ever written for the entire series, which leads me to say that I will be doing more Dragon Ball Super remakes/medleys in 2024 (I will continue to do Z & DB as well).
Anyway, this is a treat for all of you, I worked on it for over a month, I wanted to do a lot more animation but I also wanted to get this out before the end of the year. Happy holidays everyone, and thank you again for coming along on this journey with me.

Shout out to @stevenarndt6735 for recently suggesting this, I had already started working on it a couple months ago but just got it finished!
I, like many DB fans watched DBZ first, and it wasn't until later in my life that I decided to finally watch Dragon Ball, the original series that started at all. It completely enriched my experience of DBZ and DB Super in ways I expected, and ways I didn't expect. I wish I had experienced it first, with everything in chronological order, but ultimately, it doesn't matter too much. Seeing how it all started with little Goku, as innocent as ever, going on adventures with Bulma and the gang, really made 4B% feel even more special. It really feels like we've lived with these characters our whole lives, which some of us have, and they will always be in our hearts no matter what.
I adapted the American version of Makafushigi/Mystical Adventure, as that is the version I heard when I watched Dragon Ball. Please take a trip down the Dragon Ball memory lane and enjoy!

I wanted to make a piece that captured the newly transformed Super Saiyan Goku; his fierceness in the face of Frieza has always been incredibly iconic. Having just realized the legend, he has become a force to be reckoned with. I know Funimation rewrote many of his lines, but regardless, his stoic presence remains the same. Frieza's judgement day has come, and the one to deliver judgement is Son Goku. I never truly loved the hope of the universe speech, but some of his other lines like "Your evil deeds are like a noose around your neck", feels biblical. All that said, I always loved how "Gurus Theme" was present during these scenes, as if Goku, whether he was conscious of it or not; was there on behalf of Guru and all the fallen Namekians, to bring this evil tyrant Frieza to justice. And of course, I HAD to remake the Heroic theme that also plays during this period, it has always stuck with me over the years. I added a new section to it with the SSJ Transformation motif inside of it.

This is another one I didn't grow up with and only heard the Faulconer score when trunks arrived on the scene (which is some of coolest music in the whole show). But to my pleasant surprise, the music for the Japanese version was equally as badass, but in an entirely different way. Seeing trunks transform and take down Frieza with this theme felt more like a celebration- one that expressed, "we were so worried about Frieza returning and coming to earth, we didn't even imagine there could be someone out there more powerful than him other than Goku, who was also a Super Saiyan!!"
What a trip! Hope you enjoy my version of Battle Point Unlimited!

@BarisTeeAnimeReactions suggested I do a cover of the Buu's Fury version of Gohan Fights Frieza, so I decided to mix some elements of that with the Mike Smith anime version, mainly just the little synth pattern that comes during the breaks with a different variation on the chords for the bridge :) Also I realize how silly it is that the track is called Gohan Fights Frieza when the first time we hear it fully is when Gohan destroys all the Cell Jrs. I have this feeling that when I was a kid I did hear it when Gohan returned to fight Frieza during the battle, but I could have just imagined that... Either way, this moment has become the iconic revelation of this epic piece of music! Enjoy!

I've been working all week on this track, while juggling the artwork for this and Genkidama, while also beginning composing a new short film.... so I can definitely say I went even FURTHER BEYOND to make this- and that's Super Saiyan 3 for you, a power that one must find deep inside themselves to bring forth. I wanted to include the intro from when Goku demonstrates the different stages of Super Saiyan to Buu and Babidi, which @JJMDude reminded me of, so thank you!

Spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to make this one work. I always loved the little electro beat at the beginning of "Vegeta Vs Goku" by Mike Smith, which is used as Vegito's Theme in the Faulconer Productions DBZ soundtrack. But the track makes a turn into the battle they are having, or the impending approach of Buu as he rushes to kill them before they fuse. My personal opinion is that the electro beat is Vegito, in all of his effortlessness, his carefreeness, and is badass-ness ;) The rest of the original track just represent's Buu's struggle against him or the struggle between Goku and Vegeta. But together, in fusion, they are a force to be reckoned with, easily the pinnacle of power in DBZ. I also used "Vegeta's Red Power" and "SSJ Transformation" by Mike Smith to represent each side of the fusion, and finally I wanted to include "No More" by Norihito Sumitomo to showcase his evolution in Dragon Ball Super to SSJ God and SSJ Blue. I worked hard not only on the track but also the art! This was a fun one to make, but in the words of George Lucas after watching his first edit of The Phantom Menace, "I might have gone a bit far in some places"... Haha... But I will say to wrap this up, Vegito's personality always seemed different to Gogeta's, maybe the magic of the Potara and the Fusion Dance bring forth a different selection of character traits, and there was this sense that Vegito was more fun and Gogeta was more serious. That said, I love them both and it actually makes sense to me that the existence of two different kinds of fusions of Goku & Vegeta would yield different results, and therefore I feel like this piece of music took on a lighter, yet equally as charismatic tone than the Gogeta theme I worked on. Enjoy!

I believe this is my first Shunsuke Kikuchi cover. I didn't grow up with the Japanese version of Dragon Ball so I never got to hear his score. But recently I've been discovering it, and while it's vastly different from the Faulconer Productions score, it's the originally intended music with so much soul oozing from it. This particular piece is no departure from that beauty, and it is wonderful to imagine Kikuchi's score with a modern twist to it. Enjoy!

Another villain, only this time it's Babidi. Not a very threatening character, however, what he did to Vegeta used to creep me out. We know that in time, Vegeta is able to resist Babidi's curse and that he wanted to be manipulated for his own gain, but until that moment, it feels heartbreaking believing that our character who's come so far, is regressing into his former, evil self.

(I know it's Freeza but I grew up writing Frieza so I'm used to it...)
*Note* I didn’t include Golden Frieza theme as I wanted this to just be Z Frieza but will probably make it separately in future when I start covering Super more.

It took me a while to get here because I wasn't sure how to approach Frieza. Musically he doesn't have a strong melody, apart from those two Bladerunner notes, but he does have a remarkable sonic presence that is unmistakable in the Frieza saga. I did some research and was able to track down a compilation of the themes Mike Smith wrote for Frieza, and arrange them in a medley. There was about 5-6 different movements I decided on and a few more I really liked but couldn't fit in. When it was time to record and produce, as the name suggests, I wanted it to feel more symphonic than predominantly synth based (although I had to keep the synth's there as they represent his alien, futuristic aspect to me). Interestingly, I discovered when using the Cello to layer the Bladerunner synth, in certain parts; specifically the last stretch of music, it eerily reminded me of Hildur Guðnadóttir's theme for Joker, which firstly, is a score that I adore, but secondly, creeped me out. To think that the sound of a psychopathic clown could echo the sound of a psychopathic galactic tyrant....
Oh, and by the way; drawing Frieza in all his forms and staring at him for literally hours can’t be good for my mental health. Dude is scary as hell. Every form is scary in its own way…

This completes my DBZ Vegeta themes. I covered it in my Vegeta Medley, but like the version of Hells Bells I did in that Medley, it was in a different key. It was time for me to do the standalone version. Now... how in the world was I going to be able to improve one of the best tracks in all of DBZ? Well, it took me longer than I thought it would to figure it out, especially since the original is only 1 minute and 13 seconds long. How does one extend it without losing the magic of the melody? I tried a few things but eventually I decided to start it as it does in the anime, then explore the ending with the low synth that trails off. From there, I wanted to know where it would go next if it kept going, and I came up with a new section that I felt represented Vegeta's character at this point in time- being the first time he transformed into a Super Saiyan (which also applies to the first, first time when he was training in space). He wasn't exactly a good guy, in fact, despite helping the Z fighters with the androids he seemed morally ambiguous, not quite the heroic person we know him as today. That darkness, still driving his ambitions- I wanted a hint of that in the bridge of this track. Then we return to the piano, which I think at this point, is as much his instrument as the bells are. They both are associated with classical, royalty. Anyway enough from me, please enjoy!!

Been working on this for the last year. Interestingly enough, if it wasn't for Superman, there's a chance I wouldn't have worked on this fan-made Spider-Man movie. It wasn't long after I posted my Man Of Steel 2 video that Gavin (the director) reached out to me, telling me he loved that video and asked me if I wanted to compose for the film.
Primarily, I was to do the action sequences, (including the opening scene and Spider-Man's fight with the Goblin) as there was already composer Caleb Liu working on the rest. But having proved myself after scoring my first sequence, Gavin sent me a pivotal scene where Spider-Man, hopeless and weighed down by the shame and guilt regarding the death of his girlfriend Gwen Stacy, ready to give up on Spider-Man completely, is shown all the good he's done by a young boy named Tim Harris. This particular track is called "Thank You, Web-Head". This scene is my favorite scene in the film, and getting to score it was a real honor. I also scored the last scene of Spider-Man at the cemetery, saying goodbye and moving forward, the track called "Run Towards Living". And finally, the very last moment where Spider-Man swings into the ending, "Final Swing".
Caleb and I both worked on the soundtrack for Spider-Man Lotus, but we worked separately, so we both have our own batch of music for the film produced & written by us individually. He posted his own wonderful suite of music with you can listen to here: youtube.com/watch?v=RcT6-rTYnec
I made this suite to present to you all of my work on the film. I'm really proud of what I made, and also proud of everyone who worked on the film. There's a few cues in here that are either only in the film and not on Spotify release, or unreleased cues that didn't make it in there too.
Thank you, enjoy the music and please watch the film when you get a chance!!

Hard to forget this piece of music, Goku showing Gohan the ascended Saiyan form in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Gohan transforming into SSJ2, Trunks defeating the androids in his time, Goku finishing his transformation into SSJ3, so many great moments. There's something really haunting about it, and making the video for this made me realize, "ah, imagine spending a year inside a dimension where time is dilated and there are unpredictable changes in temperature". It would be a true test of strength to endure such a place. Of course, Goku & Vegeta are on another level to go through that time and time again.

As some of you know, I already made Vegeta's Theme in my Vegeta Medley. But Vegeta's themes deserve their own track, as they are some of the best in the series. I really wanted to make this one super epic, something fit for the royalty that Prince Vegeta is. I also wanted to keep Vegeta in his base form for the art, as this is how I remember him when I first heard this theme. That said, I will be doing Vegeta SSJ Theme too in the future.

For those of you who have listened to my Superman: Legacy Unofficial Theme, I wanted to make something special to bring more to the story. The main theme I made is bold, triumphant, optimistic etc, but it only fits a certain tone of the Superman that I can imagine. I had to make a variant of that theme that spoke slower, softer, and had the hopeful, profound, moving characteristics of him too. Superman is an alien who grew up in Kansas, and he embodies all there is in the all-American hero, which the main theme exudes. But he's also out there, watching over earth, inspiring people to be the best version of themselves. I want to see a superman film that excites me but at the same time, is so moving that it gives me goosebumps and makes me cry tears of joy. And I do hope that James Gunn and the new team can achieve that, because that's the kind of story the most recognizable superhero in the entire world deserves.
I suggest after listening to this, to go and re-listen to the original theme I created. I feel like this version gives the original version of the theme more weight and sincerity.

Two years ago, I wanted to start really following the path of a composer, so I decided that I needed to score something. I took the scene from Dragon Ball GT where Goku transforms into SSJ4 and made my own score to it. It was my first time attempting to match visually what I was hearing musically. I posted it on YouTube and the rest is history. It didn't receive a lot views but my channel was still just getting started, as it still is even today. But some of you watched my video and really enjoyed the music I wrote, which was unexpected but made me feel really grateful. So here it is, my full version of my own original Super Saiyan 4 theme- with a little treat in the middle from Akihito Tokunaga for those fans of the Dragon Ball GT Japanese soundtrack ;) Sonically, I wanted blend the synthesisers of Faulconer Productions, the guitars of Mark Menza, the orchestral elements of Norihito Sumitomo, a sprinkle of Akihito Tokunaga’s melody’s from GT, and my own musical soul to make this piece!
Hope you enjoy!

By the way, I managed to get my hands on an Alesis QS6 synthesizer, which I used to recreate some of the more unique sounds in this theme. It was so fun playing with it, hearing all the Faulconer Productions sounds at my finger tips. So I was able to make some of the sounds in this piece sound exactly as they did in the original! I loved Henry Cavill's superman and especially loved Hans Zimmer's score for him, and I always felt that it was unfair so many people thought his superman was dark and brooding- when really I believe he never got the chance to really play the character in a story where the world demanded the light side of him. That said, I am a snyderverse fan (if you haven't picked up on that from the tracks on my channel) who is willing to embrace the future.
When I heard the news of David Corenswet being casted for the new Superman I was thrilled- my intuition is telling me that he's a good choice. I was in the shower yesterday morning when I heard this melody in my head, and it immediately felt like Superman to me. I always imagined the perfect Superman movie to lift me up, move me, and at it's most powerful moment, bring tears of joy to me. I wanna leave the theatre feeling blessed and inspired to be the best version of myself. That's what I wanted this music to feel like. It's been a real honor writing my own Superman Theme and I hope you enjoy my take on the character!
I used midjourney to create the art by the way :) first time using it but I think it came out pretty good!
