OODLES OF TINY INKY OCTOBER DOODLES! (with FLOWERS! because thats what I really really want to draw) DrawingWiffWaffles 2022-10-08 | Today's video has seven days of inky doodles! I used a prompt list from 2017 by the.petite.planner linked below. I loved how visual they all sounded. Much less room for creativity which, i've now discovered, left me more room for...creativity. Don't ask me how that works. My other stipulation was to include inky doodle flowers because thats all i really wanted to draw anyway. Its my favorite form of lineart drawing and I've ever really practiced it, so I made that my goal of the month to learn and practice. THIS IS WHAT ART BLOCK HITTING IN REAL TIME LOOKS LIKE!? (and it sure didnt make any sense) DrawingWiffWaffles 2022-01-29 | HEY YOU!!: I decided to go ahead and post this video after a lot of deliberation. I'm not my most optimistic self in this and I know that. I was trying my best to be positive as Art Block began to set in and carry though so it might not make for the most enjoyable watch. However, I found something extremely interesting. In the moment, while filming, I thought I was creating trash. (in a way only an artist can understand, like literal BURN IT WITH FIRE, I'm-ashamed-I-made-this trash.) It was the formation of art-block in real time. And as I filmed I got more and more discouraged. Tepid every time Id start a new sketch. When I 'finished' filming, i figured it was a throw away. Some reason, I decided to review it before making that decision. I found that almost everything I was thinking in the moment made ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. Sure there were a couple lines out of place or things I could have done better. But that's the case with every single time I sit down to draw. Now that I was further away from the project I was able to see it for what it was, not through the lens of my strange emotional turmoil, which I call lovingly: Art Block. I think there is a lesson to be learned that if you are feeling extremely negative and discouraging thoughts in the middle of a project. It might not be turning out as badly as you think. Push through if you think you are able or take a break and come back to it with fresh eyes. You might be surprised what it looks like tomorrow. I actually managed to have fun with this art supply. which is honestly the only art supply I vocally despise. and I think a lot of it comes down to just taking my time with it and trying to work with the pastels instead of trying to make the art supply work for me. if that makes any sense?
