Main Theme - Histrobea Chronicles OST Emdasche 2023-02-04 | hello!! beyond excited to show off a little peak at what i've been working on the past year and a half in collaboration with @HoopsandHipHop . . . welcome to the world (and soundtrack) of histrobea chronicles!! :3you can find more in-depth information about the project here: youtu.be/gfbsh5uWMhIit's a huge relief to finally be able to say this clearly, but: i'm the main arranger and a composer for hoops' upcoming game project!! think pokemon meets kingdom hearts (as I've had it pitched to me), 2D sprite open-world RPG vibes, wild west steampunk-y setting. this 3 track EP is just a small teaser of what we've been working on, and i hope you'll loook forward to hearing the rest someday!!! my personal goal for the OST is to make as many tracks as i can as catchy as possible, and enjoyable in their own right. i'm largely happy with the result so far and can't wait to share the whole thing ~ my exact duties often include arranging hoop's original concept demos and translating or (sometimes dramatically) reinterpreting them into a more convincing retro vgm type style. i compose some tracks completely from scratch based on direction as well. it's the first time i've worked so closely with someone else on their vision for so long of a stretch and on such a scale. i've learned and continue to learn a lot through the whole process! it's been a worthwhile experience overall and i'm goinna keep gooooooing to completion! thanks for the patience and support in the meantime :D~ some commentary on this specific tune ~this will be heard on the title screen :)this is version two of the main theme, technically. the first concept was to be more sombre and 'lullaby-ish'--it got close to completion, so i'd love for it to see the light of day sometime~ hoops settled on a sort of botw main theme inspired sense of grandiosity/sentimentality. i had a demo for this one, with the idea that the main piano figure is a leitmotif belonging to a particular story important character, and should as thus remain relatively unalterted. after suggestion, the initial pan flute melody hoops wrote ended up serving as another motif for a different character/the region as a whole, so you'll hear it all over the game.i'm relatively content with how it sounds. the mix was a challenge . . . . actually, although the arrangement concept went smoothly, getting the details right in general was a challenge, trying to make it as perfect as i could while meeting hoops' expectations. it went through a lot of versions--it's at the point where i definitely can't have a clear opinion about it lol. this track is an outlier in terms of the quality of sample use so far--we were going for a big impact !! i think it came together well, has a straight-forward structure . . . in terms of main theme vibes, sort of dearly beloved-y . . . it's pretty contemplative :o what will you find on your adventure ooooo. i think my favourite part of is how the pan flute sounds . . . . mmmmmm bendy airy pan flutes yummy yummy in my tummy🎶 download/streaming links 🎶♫ itunes/apple music ♫ ♫ spotify ♫ probably theres more not sure atm❤ artist links ❤❀ patreon ❀ patreon.com/emdasche♫ find me on spotify, itunes amazon music etc ♫☀ twitter ☀ twitter.com/emdasche♪ soundcloud ♪ soundcloud.com/emdasche#histrobea #histrobeachronicles #histrobeachroniclesOST

Starry Mountain of Tenma (Megumus Theme) from Touhou UM [Eurobeat Remix] / Emdasche Emdasche 2022-12-23 | surprise and happy holidays~~ :D something a little high energy and completely unrelated for the season but at least it's something ey byman this one's been on the back burner since unconnected marketeers dropped . . . i just couldn't get motivated to write those DANG chorus brass stab patterns u feel me like i had most of the rest of the track figured out so it really felt like an obligation to sit down and lay out what to actually put in there BUT THEN I streamed myself on here doing just that and it was the kick in butt i needed so thanks for indulging me those who showed up to that~ it was a challenging little exercise but i think it came together really well . . . megumu's theme has distinct sections that when i first heard it i KNEWWWW it would be a bangin eurobeat track .. . shockingly nobody else has done this yet but also i guess nobody cares about megumu's boss theme/much of unconnected marketeers' OST compared to WBAWC akjdhaskjdhaskjd idk. and like. fair, there's some good tunes in there but it's not my fav zun ost either. maybe that's why i felt comfortable arranging this one, like i could elevate the 'climax' of the original source with a more distinct melody that u hear in the chorus. chimata's theme has a weak climax too imo so who knows i might take a stab at that one someday too lmaoanyway, this was a nice break from the soundtrack work. im still hammerin away at that. now, my hand has an rsi from goin too hard at it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bummer. but i gotta keep going and so i will. very very soon u will get to hear some of my work for it!!!!!!!!!!!!
