In todays video tutorial I am use Fireworks! Sprays in Dandelion, Lady Bug and Rose Bud with my 1 inch wide watercolor brush to create a blended sunset. The golden shimmer from the Fireworks! Sprays is just beautiful and compliments this color blend perfectly. I kept the sentiment simple with thinking of you, but ANY sentiment will go with this design. Thanks for watching.
Hello Friends! Katy here and today I am sharing how I blended my Fireworks! Sprays with Memento Ink pads to create some custom colors.
In todays video tutorial I am use some Fireworks! Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves and London Fog sprays mixed with Memento inks in greens and blues to create a Father’s Day card. I find any type of leaf foliage works really well for masculine cards and this one is no exception. I added some splatter with remaining blues and London Fog Fireworks! and also used some irRESISTible spray in Wedding Dress to complete the look. The video below has all the details, check it out below.

Hello Friends! Katy here and today I have a really fun technique using MBoss Embossing Powders to make paper thin backgrounds, AKA Embossing Skins.
In todays video tutorial I am sharing how I made some backgrounds using embossing powders with an iron, you can also use your heat gun. You will also need some parchment paper/baking paper. This is a quick technique, but so addicting!
The best part, you can use any embossing powder, including the ones that don’t emboss very well any more. This is a great technique to use those particular powders up so they don’t go to waste!
I have lots of tips and things to share in the video, check it out below.

Katy here sharing a fun technique using pigment powders with your stencils.
I love using my pigment powders to create bright vibrant cards. I also love that pigment powders allow me to let go and be loose and organic in my card making.
In todays video I used my Procion Dye powders. If you are not familiar with them, they are tie dye pigment powders and they work awesome for paper crafting. I also used the Floral Stained Glass and Latte Love stencils from Miss Ink Stamps, both great for this technique.
Note: Any pigment powder will work. Also, add some Perfect Pearls to your water for a bit of shimmer.
Thanks so much for watching. Appreciate You!! Katy ❤️

Hello Friends! Katy here and today I am excited to share this really cool background technique.

Hello friends! Katy here with a fun and simple stencil technique.
Today I am sharing how I created a stained glass effect with just a couple supplies.
For these cards I used the Floral Stained Glass Stencil (Egg Window), Ins & Outs Quatrefoil Stencil with the Latte Lace Stencil (Pinky Purple card) and the yellow/orange hexagon card is also from Miss Ink Stamps, but it may have been a freebee or an unreleased one so it is not available in the shop, unfortunately.
For the egg window and the quatrefoil window I traced the shape with a pencil onto my card base and layering panel and then used my Scan n' Cut to cut them out. This is a great way to stretch your masking stencils to get more use out of them.
One of the things I forgot to mention in the video, When I put the cards together I flipped the acetate so the smooth side is on the outside of the card. When you open the card the texture is on the inside so it feels like glass. If you do not want to feel that texture, add another piece of acetate before adding your window layer to the card base.

Dye Ink- I used Elements Inks Sundance, Emperor Red, Blue Lagoon, Merlot and Midnight Blue. Note, use any Dye Ink you have, but nothing that is opaque. What ever you use must dry transparent. I talk about this in the video.
Hello Friends! Katy here and today I am sharing how I used Memento Dew Drop Inks to create a dimensional Spring bouquet.
In todays video tutorial I am sharing how I use the perfectly pointed end of the Memento Dew Drop Inks to layer ink colors on a silhouette stamp. I then die cut them out and create a vellum wrap to go around my bouquet. In the video I also follow up on the Press n Seal barrier that I added to my StazOn Pigment ink pad to see if it keeps it from drying out. It has been about three months since I added the barrier, watch the video below to see if it worked.

Hello Friends! Katy here and today I am excited to share this really cool background technique.
In todays video tutorial I am sharing how I use some All Purpose Inks, Delicata Inks and a 3D embossing folder to create a Gilded/Aged Celtic background. I have to admit I am in love with these backgrounds and in the video I show two ways to create it and both give different results depending on how you apply the ink. I also give some alternatives to the products I am using in the video (also listed below), so be sure and watch to find out what they are. This technique will work with any embossing folder and I will for sure be using it with other folders I have in my stash.
ALTERNATIVE PRODUCTS THAT CAN BE USED TO RECREATE SOMETHING SIMILAR - Pigment Ink - Reinker would be best vs ink pad - Acrylic Paint - Gilding Wax - Any Metallic Ink The key here is using white ink/paint as your base then add your colors on top of the white.
Todays technique is really simple and using these stencils makes it even easier with no guessing on where to place your dots.
Google says:
Bokeh is defined as “the effect of a soft out-of-focus background that you get when shooting a subject, using a fast lens, at the widest aperture, such as f/2.8 or wider.” Simply put, bokeh is the pleasing or aesthetic quality of out-of-focus blur in a photograph.
In card making, it makes great backgrounds for lots of different style cards. Today I used the Gardenia floral stamp with the Unbirthday and Everyday Sentiments stamps to create my cards.
In the video below I share a few tips to help with placement of the florals and a couple techniques for applying your white pigment ink.
The one thing I forgot to mention in the video...Your white ink pad will get dirty with ink transfer. Have no fear tho, take a wet paper towel or baby wipe and gently wipe the surface to remove the colored ink. The surface may remain stained, but will stamp perfectly white the next time you need it.

I am always inspired by Debbie Hughes over at Lime Doodle Designs. I love her color palettes and I love her style of card making in general. However, I have never tried to recreate or try one of her color palettes, that is until today.
For todays video I am trying out one of her color palettes using the Woodcut Floral stamp the small outline stamp and the leaf stencil within the Artsy Abstracts stencil set. I used two Distress Inks, Speckled Egg and Antique Linen along with some Light Modeling Paste from Liquitex.

Hello Friends! Katy here and today I am using a variety of products to create this Love You card.
In todays video tutorial I do some ink blending with Versafine Clair Verdant and Warm Breeze. I haven’t used these two colors for ink blending before and they blended really well and the colors coordinate perfectly together. I used a heart stencil with Versafine Clair Paradise to blend over the ink blended panel and then added some Sheer Shimmer Stix in Frost for a bit of shimmer. I also pulled out some irRESISTible Spray in Paris Dusk and Silver to create some splatter. I finished the panel off by die cutting the words love and you with some metallic blue cardstock. Check out the video to see the process in action. I hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by.
