additionally, with the hyper armor you are granted while channeling wild strikes (among other ashes of war), if you are able to tank the hits without the extra defence from the consumables, or with just boiled crab, it will still work even without the bonus poise from ironjar aromatic. pretty rad if you want to no think just smash lol
also a side demonstration of the hyper armor wild strikes gives you lol i definitely don't have the poise to tank really anything but a short sword hit so it's kinda nutty.
if you are utterly confused and would like some details about what is going on, i'll go ahead and try to explain that here. what i'm doing is mainly targeting the two in the center of the group wearing the blue cloak, as they are the only two that drop this weapon. any others i kill are entirely just to farm some spare runes on the side of getting this weapon. for this reason, i not only use item luck buffs but also rune gain buffs. as for what those buffs are, they are two iterations of the silver and gold pickled fowl's feet which raise the discovery stat (the stat raised by arcane which is akin to a traditional luck stat) and rune drops respectively.
i have the buffs active twice by having both the talisman versions as well as the consumables. the talismans can be attained pretty far apart in progression, and the gold scarab is locked behind a very exciting scarlet rot dungeon in Caelid while the silver is much easier to attain, however it is also an optional side area after unlocking the lift to the land of the giants on the path to the Haligtree. if you are not this far yet and still want the dagger, do not fret, i farmed many rarer things including a lot of other armor sets + weapons with just the silver-pickled fowl-foot consumables exclusively. having two iterations simply makes it all the more likely to happen. additionally, if you are running a bleed build or just any build focusing arcane, that will also help a lot as arcane raises the same stat the silver scarab and pickles do.
those items out of the way, if you are curious about what the hell i'm even doing, i'm just spamming bloodhound's step ash of war skill on my weapon to get back to where the two with the sickle are, casting an AoE spell, and then dashing back. you can also use torrent very easily, and may be a better choice even for some builds, i just found this more convenient for me so i didn't need to keep mounting and dismounting to reset their spawns while also getting muscle memory confused less as im used to my spell casts being on L1 rather than R1 which is what it switches to if i am two-handing my staff in order to cast spells while riding Torrent. I am also drinking my Physik for no real reason other than making sure i don' accidentally fail cast as often for having no FP by utilizing the tearstone which nullifies FP costs for 10 seconds. however this may also be useful to speed up farming if you are a lower level and do not kill the mobs in 1-2 hits if using tearstones that increase your relevant damage.
finally, if you are wondering why anyone would even want to bother killing the same enemy/enemies over and over for something that doesn't even change or improve my loadout, it's because i'm mmo-poisoned and long grinds mean nothing to me anymore so the excitement and ease of obtaining items farming in Elden Ring has been pretty refreshing to me. by that i mean yes, i do actually enjoy doing this kind of thing in game when i'm not looking for anything too exciting at the moment outside of wanting something for one reason or another regardless of how irrelevant it is.
thanks for stopping by, hopefully i can continue uploading more as Elden Ring is very easily my favorite game of all time now and i have been meaning to get better at video creation and uploading. if you have any items you want to farm but can't bring yourself to or don't believe actually exists due to your bad luck, let me know and i can see if i can figure out a decent farming run for you and upload it.
toodles and take care, good luck skeleton.
