You see, Australia is a big continent, and to experience its true beauty, I’ve learnt you have to be comfortable behind the wheel and cover some vast distances to get anywhere. Knowing how to drive is one thing, but learning to keep whatever car you drive on the road and being self sufficient is another.I’ve found my best adventures have always been the ones where the initial plan goes belly up, and you're left to pick up the pieces and make it up as you go. EP 16 || Interior overview | Range Rover Classic Endakhudson 2022-12-18 | When initially designing the overall look and feel of the interior, it had to satisfy 4 things. 1. Comfort ( had to be comfortable enough to drive + 14hr days without getting sore)2. Adequate touring storage ( enough storage to tour comfortably without stacking crazy loads on the roof or having loose items floating around in the car)3. Good sound system. EP 15 || 3500 Hours Later And Were On The Road. Endakhudson 2022-12-06 | Approximately just over 3,500hrs later and the Rangie is finally registered and on the road!The final hurdle to what felt like a mammoth never-ending task was taking it over the pits for a road worthy certificate. Besides requiring one point of noise reduction on the exhaust system and a bolt tightened on the panhard arm ( in which both were done the next day), the Rangie passed with flying colours. To say I'm stoked is an understatement! I mean, I just don’t think I had it in me to tackle such a big job.I only now realise whilst maintaining a full time job a project like this really takes a lot out of you. That curveball came in the form of a dislocated /fractured shoulder socket, and an incorrect paint mix causing mismatched panels.As they say, "When the going gets tough, the tough gets going." EP 06 || Modification To Upper Aluminium Tailgate | Range Rover Classic Endakhudson 2022-01-04 | With the upper tailgate rusting out, i thought whilst i'm going to the effort of doing everything else properly the first time, why not do the same and replace the upper tailgate with an aluminium frame and modify the lifting of the tailgate so that it pulls in on close (eradicating the classic lifting tailgate experienced by most range rover owners).After all, with a galvanised chassis, galvanised shell and aluminium panels, the car is virtually rust proof.

EP 07 || Prepping & Painting the Rangie | Range Rover Classic Endakhudson 2021-11-14 | Body work is a totally foreign concept to me. Throw me into the deep end of mechanics and I’ll battle my way through It, throw me into a room full of damaged panels, that need patience, loving touch and a 100% devotion and commitment and I’ll try weasel my way out of it.After 3 months of rocking up to the shed day in day out, slaving away, stripping, repairing, modifying, and bogging panels and various parts, the Rangie was starting to look better then ever. I finally had straight panels and something to show for the hours that I had put into it. A massive thank you to Tighe, Darcy, Henri and those who drop by and assist me in various capacity. Particularly a massive thank you to Isiah Strong, who devoted his afternoons and sometimes early hours of the morning painting and assisting me in repairing the panels and provided me with a wealth of knowledge and confidence to attack this section of the project with confidence.
