How does this Queen Snake eat Crayfish? Life Underfoot 2020-07-13 | The queen snake is a specialized and very docile harmless snake that only has a taste for one kind of critter. Find out what the favored prey of this unique little snake is in this video! Queen Snakes are small, semi-aquatic snakes found mostly in clean streams in eastern North America. They feed almost entirely on crayfish and apparently target them shortly after the crayfish molt. This is a slight correction from the video when I mention they only eat freshly molted crayfish, but freshly molted crayfish do make up the vast majority of their diet.
