After a single seat plane had crashed near a small landing strip in their township, they extricated the pilot from the plane wreck, after having to walk 275 metres (or 300 yards) across muddy terrain.
Thanks to the battery powered Holmatro Pentheon Series tools, they were able to perform the extrication in twelve minutes, after which the pilot was transported to the hospital.

In this scenario, we saw one car upside down, with one car next to it with one casualty on the passenger side. The team from Rotterdam managed to get the casualty out just within the twenty minutes. They created space on the left hand side of the car and got him out on that side. Initially, the team wanted to create more space than they did with the ram. Then, they made the call that they already could get the casualty out, which they did. This performance earned them the title "Best Technical Team" of the Holmatro Rescue Challenge 20222!HOLMATRO RESCUE CHALLENGE RUN-OFF 17: Freiwillige Feuerwehr Stadt VilsHolmatroRescue2022-06-25 | Holmatro Rescue Challenge 2022 Run-Off 17: Freiwillige Feuerwehr Stadt Vils from Austria!HOLMATRO RESCUE CHALLENGE WINNERS BEST TEAM SPIRIT: Octava Bomberos Santiago - ChileHolmatroRescue2022-06-25 | The Holmatro Rescue Challenge 2022 Run-Off of Octava Bomberos Santiago from Chile. This team was awarded "Best Overall Team" by the UKRO assessors. In this scenario, we saw one car on its side, blocking the entrance to a car upside down, with one casualty inside. The team used the spreader to relocate the vehicle on its side, which got them a lot of recognition from the assessors and from our scenario builders, as this was performed very well. This allowed them more space to work on this side of the vehicle, removing the doors and then the B-pillar. Afterwards, the team got the victim out horizontally.
The assessors complimented the team for being very casualty centered, with an incident commander communicating very clearly, and a lot of simultaneous action from all team members.

In this scenario, we saw one car upside down with the another car on top of it. The upside down car contained one entrapped person. After stabilizing the vehicles, the team went for the so-called tunneling technique, gaining access by removing the back door of the car with a spreader. With modern cars, this is becoming increasingly difficult to do. After removing this door, the Belgian team went on to get the seats out of the way. They did this using both the spreader and the ram, removing head rests with the new cordless Mini Cutter CCU10. The team made good progress during their run-off, but needed a bit more time to get the casualty out.HOLMATRO RESCUE CHALLENGE 2022 RUN-OFF 2.
