One of the best tool purchases I have ever made! Maverick Designs Woodworking 2025-08-11 | Here’s a quick assembly and review video for the Bora PM-1850 Panel Carrier and the Kreg handheld panel carrier (which is awesome!). I bought the Bora a while ago and just now got around to using it, but it’s since been discontinued. I just got the Kreg to help load sheets onto the Bora, and now I'm wondering where this tool has been my whole life. You can still find the Bora in stock in a few places, most notably at Rockler where, at the time of posting this video, it is on clearance for only $69.00 until, I assume, they sell out of them. Small Shop Dust Collection Upgrade! Laguna CFLUX 1 Cyclone Dust Collector Assembly and Review Maverick Designs Woodworking 2025-03-09 | Improving the dust collection in my small woodworking shop! A detailed assembly and review of my new Laguna CFLUX 1 Cyclone Dust Collector. While researching links for this video, it became apparent that this model can only be purchased from a Laguna dealer like Rockler (where I got mine) or Woodcraft. It does not appear to be available on Amazon, but the CFLUX 2 is. The main differences between the two, as far as I can tell, is that the CFLUX 2 is 2 HP (as opposed to 1.5 with the CFLUX1), is capable of pulling around 1700 CFM (nearly double the 900 of the CFLUX1), has a larger capacity collection drum, and is only available wired for 220. All this, and only a few hundred dollars more than the CFLUX1.My opinion is, if that extra few hundred is in your budget and you have a large-ish shop and plan to do a lot of piping to a lot of tools, the extra HP and CFM will be essential, and that larger collection bucket means less time spent emptying it. The necessary 220 will also draw fewer amps, be a more useful outlet to add to your shop if you don't already have one, and will save money on your electrical bill over time.
