This very bumper car ride technically opened in 1973 under the name Gran Prix with vehicles made by Reverchon. The vehicles were updated in 2024 by Majestic to look like a boat of fresh cut fries. A new mural and facade were added in the style of the Potato Patch as well. Banshee at Kings Island Behind The Scenes Tour David Hahner 2024-06-14 | Check out a rare behind the scenes tour inside the infield of Banshee, operating with riders. Other opportunities showcased some of the surrounding theming, The Bat, and abandoned remnants of Son of Beast. This opportunity was held during American Coaster Enthusiasts' Spring Con in May 2024.Banshee opened at Kings Island in 2014. Riders suspended under the track traverse 4,124 ft of track, the longest inverted roller coaster in the world. After Rising 167 feet in the air, riders go down a twisted 150 ft drop and 7 inversions, including: a dive loop, 2 vertical loops, zero-g roll, pretzel knot, and an in-line twist. Banshee reaches it's top speed of 68 mph in the middle of the ride going down a natural hill side.
