VFRPaul and I took a very wet ride through the Gold Coast Hinterland, before seeking dryer weather back across the border to camp in Koreelah National Park.

The Worst Dirt Roads Are Better than...

CaptainCranky 2022-12-18 | Recently local roads have been destroyed by the weather (yeah, even more than usual) and it's just made it more obvious that I'd rather ride a busted up dirt road than a busted up bitumen one.
Partly I think it's because I half expect the bitumen to be OK and am riding faster on it anyway.

Burringbar Range Point To Point time Trial - Personal Best attempt

I first did it on my L's 9 years ago and took over 13 minutes.
Since then I'd shaved it down to 8 mins 12 seconds - Can I crack the 8 minute barrier??

Lismores Floods - What Does The Future Look Like? & Falkor Turns 9!

CaptainCranky 2022-11-06 | We returned home from a holiday to a Major Flood Warning (again) for Lismore.
It stopped short of the forecast, but still was enough to create chaos, anxiety and fear amongst the survivors of the massive floods earlier this year, many of whom are still living in terrible conditions and waiting for any sign of a viable solution.
I took a ride around town and also took Falkor for his Rego check, as he has just turned 9 years old :)

Hitting The Dirt In Wollumbin National Park!

CaptainCranky 2022-10-30 | I left The Pinnacle (see previous video) and headed towards the National Park Forest , after winning a drag race with a herd of cattle...
Then I was treated to dirt roads for an hour or so and ended up in a very pretty place for lunch by the river. Some great people had cleared up the area and re-planted after severe flood damage and it was good to see a river flowing normally again!

Dirt Track Exploring - Old Mt Lindesay Rd - CB500X & VFR1200X

Awesome Dirt Rides & River Crossings - CB500X & VFR1200X

CaptainCranky 2022-09-04 | Plans to ride into "The Big Crater" with VFR Paul were soon changed when we heard that MrAusadventure and crew would be coming down the newly re-opened Lions Road.
Some great dirt roads through Collins Valley were open for the first time since the Floods and Paul kinda talked me into going back the causeway where I (and many other riders) crashed.
Turned out to be an AWESOME day, this is just a part of it.

Best Ever Dirt Ride Day (Part 1) #crankyadventure2

CaptainCranky 2022-05-22 | Day 2 of this year's big trip was a day I was very excited about! I'd mapped out a huge day on the dirt, on roads I'd never ridden. It was so big I had to make 2 videos of the day, even then it seemed a shame to leave any of it out in editing!
We all agreed it was an awesome route, great roads and a brilliant day.

Traditions & A Broken Screen #CrankyAdventure2 Day one

CaptainCranky 2022-05-15 | Almost 8 years after our first big adventure together, MrAusadventure and I set off on a new one - It was awesome to be on a big ride together again. I felt like we just fell comfortably into our best old habits, re-creating some infamous moments from the first tour, before meeting up with Paul (VFR1200X) who was a welcome addition to the adventure for the next few days.
Day one was all about getting to Armidale, where the best dirt roads called us to the West. There were dramas and fun all the same :)
