Flygon Pokemon Speed Drawing The Art Gear Guide 2022-11-13 | Flygon Pokemon Speed DrawingI would like to point out right from the beginning that this was just a drawing I completed on my own time, it is not in anyway related to a product review or demonstration of a particular art supply. I hope you enjoy this speed drawing even though there is no review connected to it and if you are interested I have also added a page to The Art Gear Guide where you can view some still images of the artwork, you can click the link below to view it. I did this drawing about a month ago I think, my daughters boyfriend loved Pokemon as a kid and apparently this was his favourite character Flygon. I am afraid Pokemon escaped me, but my own son Jude was into it, come to think of it, Jude and Niamh both enjoyed reading Manga and watching Anime and it was through buying their Manga books etc that I myself fell in love with this particular style of art. I know and understand that Manga and Anime is not everyones cup of tea, but for me it was quite gentle way of learning how to draw, ink and color. I really enjoyed drawing this piece and thought that I might as well upload the video as I am sure someone might like to see it. If you have followed me on The Art Gear Guide for any length of time, you will know that my preferred method of creating art is marker and colored pencils. I love the speed that the markers give for coverage of larger areas and then introducing the detail of the colored pencils. Over the years I have tested and reviewed a lot of alcohol based markers and to be honest, in this day and age, there is not really much difference between them all. However, recently I have experienced at least 5 of my COPIC Sketch markers developing mould of some description which prevents me from using the markers period and having to buy new ones. The Art Gear Guide 2022-10-21 | Derwent Tinted Charcoal Pencils Review, Tinted Charcoal Pencils By Derwent.In this review we take a look at the gorgeous Derwent Tinted Charcoal Pencils, I am no Charcoal artist, however I admire the work charcoal artists create. There is something that looks so free and expressive to me when I watch a charcoal artist, apply what starts out looking like coal dust to a sheet of paper, for it to transform into some of the most amazing art I have ever seen. I have watched charcoal artists create work that provides light and shadow just as any watercolor painting would all with what appears to the untrained eye, dirt. The Derwent Tinted Charcoal Pencils are really quite beautiful in their own subtle way. For this review I have only provided this video review and my written review. Amelia Made It To Her 18th Birthday | No Parent Should Have To Watch It Happen To Their Child The Art Gear Guide 2022-10-18 | No Parent Should Have To Watch Their Child Be Bullied | Amelia's 18th Birthday ****** PLEASE READ BEFORE WATCHING ******First of all I would like to say this is in no way an art related video, the subject matter of this video can be very disturbing or triggering for some people and so please keep this in your mind before choosing to watch it. I talk about matters of self harm, bullying and suicide in this video so if any of these topics are areas you would rather not hear about please skip this video. I’ve placed the video at 18 plus because I am not a professional and I don’t want young people to think I am giving advice this is a thank you video with a bit of back story. I thought long and hard about making this video, whether or not I should, but the reason I decided to make the video is made clear in the video. When our youngest daughter suffered bullying for more than three years, when I finally spoke about it on some videos, so many of you guys left positive uplifting messages for Amelia which I shared with her, some of you shared your own personal struggles which again, if I was able to, I shared with Amelia because some of you guys have been through hell and back and those emails are to be shared with Amelia very soon. On the 11th of October Amelia turned 18, a day my wife and I never thought we would see, but we have and we are so thankful each and every day to God for allowing her to be with us. I had a huge falling out with God during this time for allowing it to happen in the first place, but things happened to make me understand better. Before you go and watch the video, I would just like to say this, for any young person that is out there, no matter where in the world you are, no matter your skin color, sexual preference, religious beliefs, anything that makes you stand out and unique, to the point you are being bullied, just know there are people who love you more than you will ever know. I can only say what I am saying because of my daughter, but please talk to someone, don't allow the pain and suffering you are experiencing go undetected by those who love you most in this world. Tell someone how you feel, tell them what is happening to you and the lower you get, the more important it is to talk to someone. Paul Rubens Artist Soft Pastel Review And Demonstration The Art Gear Guide 2022-09-27 | Paul Rubens Artist Soft Pastel Review And DemonstrationIn this review we take a look at the Paul Rubens Artist Soft Pastels, I absolutely love pastels, when I watch some of the amazing pastel artists here on YouTube, far too many to name without leaving some out, I am always inspired to get out my pastels and try to replicate. I would also like to apologise for the fact that when recording this review I was stuffed up with a cold and I also had a medication tweak from the doctor which makes me stutter a bit, its a muscle relaxant For the high quality pastels you are going to pay for, but as with so many art mediums, there are always companies trying to replicate the quality of the higher grade art supplies at a fraction of the price. Paul Rubens and Arrtx have recently become among a few other companies pursuing such lengths. Here we demonstrate and examine the 36 set of Paul Rubens Artist Soft Pastels, liken them to a well known high quality pastel and also show the results on various pastel surfaces. Pokemon Pikachu Artwork Using Prismacolor Premier Markers The Art Gear Guide 2022-09-19 | Pokemon Pikachu Artwork Using Prismacolor Premier MarkersI have always wanted to test, demonstrate and review the Prismacolor Premier Markers but given the small palette I was only able to purchase, I was at a loss as to what type of art I could create with them. But after completing a more recent review with some acrylic markers, I got an idea and decided to try the Manga Anime route. The artwork I created in this piece as a ways of helping to demonstrate the Prismacolor Premier Markers was some of the Pokémon Characters, Ash Ketchum, Pikachu and Serena. I have to be 100% honest with you, especially fans of the Pokemon show, Pokemon completely passed me due to my age, however my kids loved it, but I have always admire the Manga and Anime art genre. I had to look up the names of the characters I drew, which I know true fans of the series may find this offensive however this was absolutely never my intention. I love the artwork and I was able to replicate this particular scene due to the palette I had. If I have got the names of the characters wrong please by all means correct me and I will edit where needed. I wanted to say that right at the offset so that you don't waste your time expecting an art related video, which you would be well within your rights to expect given this is an art channel. That being said, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away and I wanted to share with all of you my own personal memories with the Queen and other members of the Royal Family. I was fortunate enough to serve in the finest Regiment in the British Army, in my opinion, the 1st Battalion Irish Guards. A fierce fighting battalion and the finest ceremonial Battalion. As a result of serving in a Regiment who's main roll is to protect the Royal Family, I had a few encounters with our Royal Family and in this video I thought I would share a few of them with you. I know not every one likes or agrees with the Royal Family and I completely respect those opinions. We live in a country where democracy is the way of life and I think it is so important that we are all free to express our opinions and hopefully we all learn a thing or two along the way from those with opposing views, goodness knows I have learnt so much from all of you throughout my journey as part of the art community. I can definitely see an improvement over my first try of the drawing, but I can still see a huge amount of room for improvement. I don't think I created the illusion of form in the arm, it looks to two dimensional and the metal clasps on his arm could have been much better. But I really liked the over all outcome and I absolutely loved drawing it. This is a very boring video, it is very long and I test a lot of various erasers. However all of that being said, I wanted to put a test out there on the internet, showing artists the types of erasers on the market and their ability or lack there of on the mediums I tested. I watch the very worst humanity had to offer as a soldier and turned to art so that I could see the beauty in humanity once again, admittedly by accident, but I turned to art nevertheless and seen the beauty and kindness humans really have toward each other. Artwork Created Using Cretacolor Pastel Pencils | 72 Set of Cretacolor Pastel Pencils The Art Gear Guide 2022-05-26 | Artwork Created Using Cretacolor Pastel Pencils | 72 Set of Cretacolor Pastel Pencils The Artwork in this video was created using the Cretacolor Pastel Pencils, the purpose of this video is to help showcase the abilities of the Cretacolor Pastel Pencils. The Artwork was created on Clairefontaine Pastelmat but I have to make something quite clear. As you will see throughout the speed drawing video, I change the drawing a lot, this was due to my inability to get in the groove so to speak and absolutely nothing at all to do with the Cretacolor Pastel Pencils or the Clairefontaine Pastelmat Paper. I normally love using pastels but on this occasion I just count get anything right and was growing more and more frustrated, nevertheless and I needed to supply something in way of a demonstration and so this study of a Cats Eye was it. 72 Set of Cretacolor Pastel Pencils | Review of Cretacolor Pastels The Art Gear Guide 2022-05-26 | I have long wanted to get my hands on a set of the Cretacolor Pastel Pencils, the Pastel medium is such an interesting and diverse medium with amazing potential for artists of all levels. Pastel lends itself to hyperrealistic work, lose flowing landscapes, impressionistic, flawless human portraiture, wild life portraiture, Pet Portraiture etc. Given the huge selection of pastel blocks, hand made pastels, extra soft to much harder, as well as Pan Pastels and of course Pastel Pencils for much more refined detailed work, all of these allow the artist such a wide scope. Cretacolor have recently released some absolutely gorgeous sketch sets and also have a tremendous range of other art supply mediums such as colored pencils, watercolor pencils, pastel blocks, graphite and charcoal pencils as well as graphite and pastel powders. In this review we look at the 72 set of Cretacolor Pastel Pencils and to aid in this review I have also completed a written review, as well as a YouTube speed drawing video showcasing the artwork I attempted coming to life as well as some still images of said artwork over on The Art Gear Guide. Cretacolor Pastel Pencils Artwork Part 2 The Art Gear Guide 2022-05-14 | Hi Guys I am going to try and keep working on the artwork I am doing using the Cretacolor Pastel Pencils. The only reason I am doing this is to test out various configurations of live streams but the connections between OBS and the new YouTube Studio Live Platform is so complex and a pain in the back side, it is unreal. I love to live stream but I despise setting the software and stream keys and all the other stuff that you have to do in order to get started. Once I work it all out it will be easy going forward and I will be doing a lot So for this livestream please be patient as I know I am going to make a lot of mistakes getting it up and running
