【MMD】Hoshi No Kakera (Star Fragments)【+Motion DL】(Short PV) Starchild 2024-06-02 | #mmd #mikuAAAAaahh finally, my first completed "dance" motion in MMD!!I started animating this literally just as another test for fun but got to finish it and make it into a PV. I got inspired by @InedibleMuffin 's video (my main source of inspiration when it comes to animating in MMD).I've been a casual user of this program for like 7 years and made lots of motions, but they were always either rough tests not related to a song or another of all my unfinished attempts at dancing motions (wether they were referenced or not).I've tried copying pre-existing dances before, but for many years I've also choreographed many songs in my imagination, getting a lot of inspiration from Project Diva PVs, and attempted to execute them in MMD with my basic animation skills, which was my main motivation to make motions in the first place, but always got myself into projects that were way, WAY too ambitious for me. I think the closest I had come to completing one of those was a motion that I did a couple of years ago that I worked on for more than a month. I got to complete half a minute (from the total 4 and a half minutes) of animation before leaving it.The problem is, as manual motion-tracing is already very hard to do, it's insanely difficult to manually animate a well-danced choreography out of the blue without a reference to begin with... unless it's something very simple and short like in this case. That is literally all I had to do, for years: Just work on something not too overly ambitious that I was realistically able to finish... For comparison, this only took me a week instead of an entire year.By the way, I know the rendering is very poor. The main purpose of this video is to showcase the motion and camera. This is just how I imagined a short PV for Miku's first demo would be like, again, trying to imitate the Project Diva style.Also, I find it funny how this song is frequently associated with Miku's append design even though it's the original Miku V2 singing it.
