It's likely they're simply trying to manipulate you, and they care nothing for those who need your pity. Those who claim to be righteous rarely are.

Though, imagine the shock when they get to Aureole and Eisen is there.That final flourish in the track is AMAZING, though. It almost teleports you away. I was in awe of it when they used it for the ending of the season; stayed in my head for days afterward.

Apologies, all.I appreciate the consistent leitmotif for a lot of these tracks. Again, you can see Call's Hollywood influences here: Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter probably have the most iconic leitmotifs of all time in cinema.
The Land Where Souls Rest - Frieren: Beyond Journeys End OST Disc 1 - 22 Naevius 2024-04-27 | Heaven--Aureole--and Hell--Demon King's Castle--are close neighbors. This is an old, storied trope in mythology and the human unconscious. I've studied a bit of Jung, so as soon I learned the Demon King's Castle was right next to Aureole, I was pointing at the screen like that meme.

Phantoms of the Dead - Frieren: Beyond Journeys End OST Disc 1 - 17 Naevius 2024-04-27 | It says so much about Himmel that the most in-character thing for him to do in that moment would be to tell Frieren to shoot him. Keep in mind, the memory-ghost was no doubt assured it WASN'T a ghost, that it was the real Himmel. The real Himmel would have died to save Frieren without a single hesitation. That's a hero.
