Cedric Benson accident site Michael Stevens 2022-12-11 | Not much commentary on the video itself but listed here in the description. The site of the accident that killed University of Texas and NFL running back Cedric Benson on August 17,,2019. I’m traveling westbound on Highway 2222 at the 5600 block of Mount Bonnell Road. The car I am riding in is playing role of the minivan which Benson collided into while riding eastbound on his motorcycle at an extremely high rate of speed. You can see by the hills that the street is not safe to drive that fast and Cedric had a green light as did the minivan but was driving too fast to see a minivan turning left in front of him. The bike burst into flames and killed him and a female passenger almost immediately. The minivan driver was unharmed. Cedric Benson is buried at the Texas State Cemetery in downtown Austin which is known as the final resting place for many notable Texans. Several former Texas governors and other notable politicians are buried here as well as many athletes and coaches with Texas roots. He is buried just a few feet from former MLB player Don Baylor and American Sniper hero Chris Kyle.

After Jacob Blake who was wanted for sexual assault was shot and paralyzed by a Kenosha police officer, demonstrators descended onto the city and Kyle Rittenhouse a 17 year old from Illinois made the drive to Kenosha just past the Wisconsin border with an assault rifle to help “restore order” by stopping people from setting fires and looting.. He shot three people who confronted him after falling on his back, then proceeded to walk northbound on Sheridan Road and ultimately surrendering to police. He was not initially charged with a crime due to his self defense claim but was later charged with three counts of attempted murder and other charges. He was acquitted in 2022.

Cape Cod was hit by a huge windstorm of speeds of up to 90 MPH that caused major destruction in the area and knocked out power to 94% of Falmouth.I’m in town to help out an elderly family member while power is out. 7-11 was one of the few stores open after 9PMI walked in to get something to eat. Admittedly there was not much to pick from. They didn’t have any hot dogs on the burner nor did they have any pizza. They just had some sandwiches and some salads. I attempt to buy a tuna sandwich and a big gulp and she complained that I spent too much time in the store and refused to ring up my purchase. She calls the police and proceeds to curse me out while doing so. She tries to say that I go in there every night without buying anything but that is a lie because all of my 7-11 purchases are scanned to my rewards account. James Dean accident site 1955 Chalome California Rt 41 & 46 Intersect Michael Stevens 2019-11-12 | The site of James Dean's accident in Chalome CA on 9/30/1955 which took his life. Still visited and memorial kept to his day, which was 64 years later at the time I filmed it, on October 12, 2019. He was driving from Bakersfield to Salinas to race the Porsche when he crashed with a Ford Tudor driven by a college student named Donald Turnupseed. Dean died almost instantly, his passenger and the Turnupseed both survived. James Dean's passenger died in a separate car accident in 1981. Donald Turnupseed who lived in and remained in nearby Tulare refused to talk about the accident afterward, he later started an electrical company afterward and was pretty successful. He also married and had a family, but he died of cancer in July of 1995, just shy of 40 years after the accident. I am also the original author of his find a grave page, which I created in 2005 as the 50th anniversary of the crash was approaching.findagrave.com/memorial/10990655/donald-gene-turnupseedI drive to this site cold turkey, meaning I had never been to the site before, and I hadn't rehearsed anything beforehand. I preferred it that way. I live in NY and have travelled to CA many times. I had always intended to visit the site but it is in an out of the way location, several hours away from any of the nearest major cities. I was in LA and was suddenly invited to an event in SF and decided to drive instead of fly as I already had a rental car and this would be the perfect opportunity to pass through. I relied on significant research I found online to pinpoint the location. The roads have been modified significantly since the crash so I could not exactly reconstruct the crash. Where you see the sign and where I parked the car was actually where the intersection of Routes 46 & 41 connected back in 1955. Turnupseeds car T-boned James Dean's Porsche and the impact, pushed the car into the fence where memorial you see marks the spot where James Dean's Porsche came to rest. There has since been major construction which included expanding Route 41 in a way where the two roads can pass through each other without actually having to intersect or stop.I filmed it with a hand held camera as I was driving so for the first minute or so. I started filming about three miles away to get a sense of the route JD took. I had rested it on the dashboard while driving and quickly realized I was filming mostly dashboard, then I picked up the camera with my right hand and used that to film and drove the remainder of the way using only my left hand. I could've mounted my phone to the glass and filmed that way but I opted to use that for GPS instead (as you can probably tell)

National Lampoons Vacation 1982-83 pool scene revisited Michael Stevens 2019-11-12 | This is the actual filming location of the hotel pool scene shot for the National Lampoon's Vacation movie filmed in 1982 and released in 1983 starring Chevy Chase, Christie Brinkley, Beverly DeAngelo, Anthony Michael Hall and others. Its about a family of four "the Griswold's" driving from Chicago to fictional Wally World theme park in California. I guess they couldn't get Disneyland's permission to use them in the movie, their loss. After being followed by Brinkley in a Ferrarri for practically the entire trip, they finally meet at a hotel in Phoenix AZ where she strips down, as does he, and they wind up skinny dipping in this pool before getting caught because the pool is so cold that Clark Griswold screams and wakes up all of the hotel guests. The hotel is actually in Norwalk CA, not in Phoenix AZ in what is now called the Hotel Saddleback located at 12500 Firestone Blvd Norwalk. Just take I-5 to exit 120 if you are inclined to visit. It is actually only about a 10 minute drive to Disneyworld. All the more reason why I wonder why they couldn't make this work. The restaurant scene just prior to the pool, scene was also filmed here. Beware there are two pools on the property. The correct pool is on the center of the property, not the one on the end. The pool looks identical as it was when the scene was shot some 37 years ago. They added a Jacuzzi and and changed the gate entrance to the opposite side to accommodate a key card to keep out non-guests, and changed the depth in some locations of the pool to make it more kid friendly, but the shape of the pool, and they brick layouts and the surrounding hotels remain the same.

When you walk into virtually any Friendly's restaurant, you will see a display table of about 15-20 burgers. If you touch one, you'll notice they are hard as a rock. I assumed they were plastic burger replicas, but when I opened one up out of curiosity it was a real burger covered with mold. Note this is not the first time I had seen this, I had seen this at about four other Friendly's restaurants in my area so this appears to be a nationwide problem, not just one restaurant making a mistake. Patchogue Medford erased a 28-14 4th quarter deficit to win 31-28 in overtime on a game winning field goal by a female placekicker. Both schools used female place kickers actually. Both had kicked four extra points after their teams respective touchdowns but neither attempted a field goal in regulation. Patchogue Medford used a male kicker to attempt a field goal at the end of the 4th quarter but he missed forcing an overtime. The OT rules are each team starts possession at the opponents 20 but a first possession field goal does not win the game, as opponent gets a chance to match. Any score in the second possession or later or score by defense wins the game. Connetqout passed up a chip shot field goal in 4th and 2 from inside the five and turned it over in downs. Patchogue Medford advanced the ball to the 2 yard line at 4th down making the field goal about 19 yards or about the same as an extra point. I don’t know much about the kicker but her name is Hannah as heard from previous public address announcements on previous attempts. Now there are several female football high school football players that play around the country, most of them are kickers but some play other skill positions as well. And while this may be considered a chip shot field goal, the pressure to do it in overtime is overwhelming and there are not too many females that have hit walk off field goals so this is a rare sight.

Suicidal man sitting in the tracks at the Central Islip LIRR Long Island RailRoad Michael Stevens 2017-04-15 | A suicidal man is sitting on what appears to be the third rail of the railroad tracks in Central Islip on the afternoon of April 15, 2017. He has a gun in one hand and a cell phone in the other. The railroad and the surrounding streets are closed off to vehicles and pedestrians. I don't know what prompted this man to take this king of action but i will point out that just a few days ago four young men were found murdered in a park just a block away from this spot which police have called gang related and I have to wonder if this is related to that event or just a random distraught individual. Train service was obviously suspended on the last two stops of the Ronkonkoma Line (Central Islip & Ronkonkoma) as well as the cross streets of Suffolk Avenue and Lowell Avenue to all vehicular and pedestrial traffic. There were at least a dozen police officers on or near the tracks with guns drawn in case he decided to take action against the officers. I realized that I actually placed myself right in line of him in case he saw me and decided to fire prompting me to drop camera and move further away and finally an hour later I was ordered to leave by the police and this situation continued for several hours afterward and eventually he was taken away in a stretcher with no injuries to either himself or the police. However listen to him talk to the attendant and how he nonchalantly tells the slot attendant that he owes the government $180,000 and that he didn't expect to get paid but that would simply "come off my tab". Don't read until you watch the whole video!Sam and his sister Abby won $3,400 by defeating their opponents in three peliminary rounds of celebrity name guessing to advance to the $20,000 bons round. The object of the bonus round is to guess the ten named clues on the board in the alloted time, 45 seconds for the first contestant (Sam), and 30 seconds for the second contestant (Abby) to get whatever clues Sam couldn't get in his alloted time. Sam breezes through with nine clues solved in 45 seconds, leaving his sister to get the one remaining clue in thirty seconds for $20,000. However the rules state you cant give any part of the name that's already in the box, nor can you rhyme, spell, sing use another language among other rules. Abby's tenth and final clue is "Get Hard" which is a movie that she apparently hasn't heard of, so she is forced to break down the two words individually. She starts with the second word which is the easier of the two because you just have to say the opposite of soft. The first word is harder to describe, and she slips up and says "when you are getting a" .... BUZZ. She was disqalified for using the word "GETting" which is part of the clue. Notice in the beginning before Craig starts the game, he implores Abby to "Get This", prompting chuckles from the audience. You can almost sense something would go terribly wrong, then follows with his catchphrase, get ready get set, get going, so thats 4x he uses the word GET before her game starts. All she had to do was ask the celebs to repeat what Craig just said because once the celebrities use a word in the clue, the contestant is allowed to use the same word as well. Unable to describe the movie, it appears that she is about to describe an erection by saying "getting an erection" or "getting a boner". She never got that far before being buzzed out, but I can only guess that's what she was getting at (pun intended). Dannemora NY one year after prison escapes from Clinton Correctional Facility Michael Stevens 2016-07-10 | Short drive around the neighborhood of Dannemora NY and in the immediate vicinity of the prison where Richard Matt and David Sweat escaped just over one year ago. Driving around the immediate area of the prison and the infamous manhole where the two convicts climbed out of as well as the light stack where they were supposed to meet Joyce MItchell and driving around to what I believe are their possible escape routes. They pretty much traveled route 374 the entire way either by the road or through the adjoining woods to Owls Head where they hid out in a series of cabins before splitting up and to Malone NY where Richard Matt was shot and killed. David Sweat traveled north by foot to a town called Constable where he was spotted by a state trooper and captured just two miles shy of the Canadian borderClinton Correctional Facility is probably the most infamous prison in New York State. Tupac Shakur served his prison sentence here. Many of NYs high profile killers either are incarcerated here now or have been in the past. In fact death row used to be housed here for about a 10 year period when New York briefly had capital punishment on the books. Signed by Governor George Pataki in 1995 but subsequently invalidated by the New York State Supreme Court which was filled by judges appointed by his predecessor Mario Cuomo who was staunchly opposed to capital punishment.Filmed in June 2016. At this exact time last year, both prisoners had escaped and were still on the lam. Actually uploaded a year late, but I'm standing at my usual spot on 46th & Broadway between the Cover Girl Stage and the Countdown stage, where Taylor Swift and other musical acts performed. Also was within reaching distance of Ryan Seacrest, host of New Years Rockin Eve. As I stated earlier, this is uploaded a year late. The current year 2015-16 has already been uploaded. I've gone to Times Square almost every year since the early 90s with the exception of about 3x I went to Las Vegas. I have videotaped every year and have uploaded videos on you tube every year since 2008-09 with the exception of the 2012-13 season which was one of my jaunts to Las Vegas. I simply forgot to or was too hung over to upload back then and didn't realize it until i uploaded this years version. Check out my other videos from years past. I'm always between 44th & 46th St which is the prime location to be in since that's where the countdown stage and the sponsors page (2014 was cover girl, 2015 was planet fitness), before that NIVEA was the sponsor for several years. I have a trick to get those prime spots without waiting 12 hours in line like everyone else around me. The routine is the same. About three minutes prior John Lennon's "Imagine" is performed either a pre-recording by himself or another artist will perform it live, followed by the 60 second countdown, then Auld Lang Syne plays among the jubilation, then a rendition of Frank Sinatra's "New York New York is played. This quality is better than in years past because I used a Sony Handy Cam. In years past I have used iPhones, an Ipad, and standard cameras with video function.

You'd have to arrive here about 12 hours prior to midnight to get this close, and then you are fenced in by police and you are not allowed to leave to eat or use the bathroom. If you do, you won't be allowed back. I've been to Times Square almost 20x for new years and I have become a fixture at this prime location, although I've never had to wait that long, I get there anywhere between 8-10PM depending on what acts are performing.
