A cut during The Song Remains the Same leaves us at the end of the first verse of The Rain Song. The song is plagued by feedback problems. Following Kashmir, Plant tells the crowd "we're havin' a little bit of trouble here with the monitor system... I think there's some crushed window pane stuck in the speaker." He improvises an entirely new melody during the final performance of The Wanton Song to accommodate his painfully weak voice.Jones is introduced as "the man in constant darkness" before No Quarter. A few slight cuts detract from an otherwise fantastic instrumental section. Unfortunately, Page's guitar solo is cut near the end. Little more than the intro and outro of Moby Dick survives. How Many More Times is introduced as "a very, very, very, very old one." Unfortunately, a cut in the tape during the lead-in to the bow solo leaves us at the final "gun!", skipping the majority of the song. Page's intro to Stairway to Heaven is missing from the tape. His fingers get a bit sticky during the guitar solo. As the band returns to the stage, Plant tells the crowd "we're gonna try and go out with a bit of style." Page shreds through an extended guitar solo during the show-closing Black Dog.

It caused of Plant's joke: "The bone on his wedding ring finger is bust and that's a real drag because if he was to get married now, he couldn't get a ring on." The rhythm section is as strong as always ... they never have a bad show despite Page and Plant's problems. No Quarter is very good, though, and How Many More Times is not a bad version, and interesting considering they mix the Dazed And Confused sections in ... it hadn't been played for five years.Plant continues to have trouble with his voice, struggling to retain some sense of melody during the opening numbers. Page begins to warm up during the guitar solo at the end of Sick Again. As the song ends, Plant tells the crowd "it's our great pleasure to be just about back." Page and Jones lose each other for a moment at the end of the guitar solo during Over the Hills and Far Away. In My Time of Dying is introduced as "what you might call... traditional." Page's fingers fly across the fretboard during The Song Remains the Same. No Quarter is absolutely fantastic. The instrumental section is an epic journey.Bonzo is introduced as "the man who made Led Zeppelin a legend" before Moby Dick. While introducing what will prove to be the final appearance of How Many More Times, Plant tells the crowd "we decided about a week ago that we should start doin' this again, cause we haven't done it for about six years... it's called jerkin' off." The band seems lost in the arrangement, unsure about what comes next. Unfortunately, the song is cut just before the final "gun!" Page's fingers become hopelessly entangled in the strings during the show-closing Black Dog

No Quarter is dedicated to Jones that "...made Monthy Python's Flying Circus a flop in New York" tonight and his imppecably clean fingernails. Moby Dick is like a hurricane and Dazed And Confused just blows everybody out to the cosmic level! A bunch of heavy solid encores with an excellent Heartbreaker with some lyrics of Elvis Presley's That's Alright Mama thrown in closing this amazing eveing. This is definitely a triumph for the entire band and, not only a strong concert but also probably the best from the 1975 US Tour.

The audience is dull, bored and seems half-asleep. "We must apologise for the slight delay, be we couldn't get into the building and we hadn't got any tickets! It's a fact. We saw a well known scalper, but we blew it ... and it was bllown!" stated Plant after Sick Again. This show has some amazing playing but the crowd seems more interested in sleeping than the crushing music. This seems unbelievable, to be lucky enough to see Led Zeppelin and to react in this way. Robert slams the crowd for their reactions, but in reality, this show is great, but the next night is even greater. He's also dedicated The Song Remains The Same to the bootleggers: "For the benefit of anyone who was making a bootleg then - the 12-string was out of tune!" After the last encore Plant added spontaneously: "Ladies and gentlemen of Long Beach ... sleep well! Half a Quaalude with water."The first of the legendary Mike Millard recordings, the tape begins with a stage announcement asking those behind the stage to stay in their seats, assuring them they will have a good view of the band now that the house lights are down. Plant gets a bit lost during the second verse of Rock and Roll. Page's guitar cuts out for a moment at the beginning of Sick Again. As the song ends, Plant tells the crowd "we must apologize for the slight delay, but we couldn't get into the building," joking "we haven't got any tickets." In My Time of Dying is incredibly powerful, if a bit sloppy at times.The Song Remains the Same is introduced as "a song that you definitely will have heard before, unless you've had your ears shut for two and a half years." The Rain Song is beautiful. As the song ends, Plant announces "for the benefit of anyone who was makin' a bootleg then, the twelve string was out of tune during Song Remains the Same." He delivers a strong performance during an excellent Kashmir. Jones is introduced as "a complete Pakistani orchestra, all in one pool player." No Quarter is absolutely fantastic. Jones's haunting piano solo is introduced by a series of ghostly moans from the theramin. Page's wandering guitar solo slowly builds tension until an explosive climax during the song's outro. An excellent performance, one of the best thus far.Page shreds wildly through the guitar solo during an aggressive Trampled Underfoot. As the song ends, Plant tells the crowd "Jimmy just broke two strings and John Bonham is just about to have a hernia." He dedicates Moby Dick to "the Chateua Marmont and the Continental Hyatt House and all the places where there's cockroaches on the floor" before introducing Bonzo as "Mr. Dynamo! Mr. Cockstarch! John Bonham!" Someone near the taper can be heard shouting "c'mon Henry!" during the marathon drum solo. Bonzo shouts into one of his drum mics during the finale.Page is absolutely on fire during the guitar solo/workout section in Dazed and Confused, shredding wildly as Bonzo and Jones race along at a frantic pace. The return to the main riff is explosive, triggered by Bonzo's machine gun snare blasts. The hypnotic outro is punctuated by a thunderous finale. An outstanding performance. A particularly funky theramin freakout during Whole Lotta Love is preceded by another haphazard rendition of The Crunge. Page blazes through the extended guitar solo during the show-closing Black Dog. As the song ends, Plant announces "ladies and gentlemen of Long Beach, goodnight... sleep well, half a Quaalude with water." An excellent performance.

There is a section right before they enter the bow solo (1:56:12) that lasts for about 20 seconds and they never did it before or after in this way. Jimmy speeds it up with a really fast paced funky twist on the riff he usually plays and bonzo joins the paced and the whole thing speeds up and they all get into it. I really wish they wouldve expanded on this in later shows. Regardless, we still have this amazing piece of history that shows they were not afraid to try things and just have fun! thats what made them who they were. The relentless sonic assault threatens to destroy the taper's equipment. The frenzy reaches its peak with the explosive outro jam. A phenomenal performance, one of the best thus far.Before Stairway to Heaven, Plant tells the crowd "the vibes are really good tonight, they're better than last night... too many reds," adding "by the time we get to The Forum, we should be sky high!" Page delivers a fantastic guitar solo, one of the best in recent memory. As the band returns to the stage, Plant leads the crowd in a Happy Birthday sing-along in honor of their attorney Steve Weiss. The funky theramin freakout during Whole Lotta Love features an excellent rendition of Licking Stick-Licking Stick in addition to the usual The Crunge interlude. Plant is in top form during a riotous Black Dog. Heartbreaker features an outstanding I'm a Man blues interlude between the guitar solos. A truly amazing performance. Must hear.

And you know they were having a blast because they played SIBLY. We definitely get our fill of "Light and Shade" tonight, as Jimmy would say. The improvisation tonight is very good. They really closed the tour with a bang! All i can say about this show is BRAVO! The Center pieces "No Quarter" and "Dazed" are very long and amazing to me. Dazed being forty-four and a half minutes long. including all sorts of twists and turns, extreme solos and crazy riffs and tunes that will just never happen again. No Quarter is pretty far out, even more than usual. I'll tell ya man if you were trippin out while listening to this, it will take you somewhere far far out! Jimmy takes us thru all sorts of avenues and journeys , its like a really long story. I used to trip out and listen to multiple concerts. it really is amazing. anyway, During the earlier part of the show it seems jimmy is having PA problems. One of the channels on his rig keeps going out and it makes the guitar sound really far away. it happens a lot in In My Time Of Dying, which is a really good version tonight. Also Trampled is awesome again tonight. Really nice soloing by Jimmy. Whole Lotta Love is great tonight, the trip out section is awesome! Now in my opinion, this bootleg release is not as good as the old Deep Throat boxset, Sound quality wise. And my main reason is that there is a high hiss present on all three audience recordings. So i put an EQ on it and just took the hiss out.i didnt put any other EQ on the concert. It sounds much better. In my opinion if you can get your hands on the actual 1st gen transfers by Mike Millard, thats your best bet because they sound the best in my opinion due to the fact that they are un altered by over editing. Its just a clean file. I have the first night and third night on my website for those who are interestedThis show is damn good! In My Time is heavy with Bonzo holding a strong beat as Jimmy just kills it on the bottleneck. Kashmir is also heavy. The Song Remains The Same and The Rai song are beautiful, The guitar is very heavy in these recordings and it works very well with a lot of the songs, tho sometimes it can be a little overbearing. No Quarter is pretty good, it feels like they get a little lost during a few parts in the solo, but Jimmys playing is great. I dont care when he gets sloppy man it all sounds awesome to me! they never give up man! it was all about the energy, the feeling and the vibes. it was all about having fun and playing good music. and the energy they shared with the audience is something magical. Trampled is crazy! as usual. I love Trampled live in 75. Bonzo Destroys it in Moby Dick, tho i dont much like the 75 versions. 72 and 73 are my favorite time for Moby Dick. Dazed is great. Not their strongest performance but it has its gems. Stairway is a solid performance tonight a prequel of what is to come tomorrow night.Enjoy people!!! The band's third night at Earls Court begins with an enthusiastic introduction by David 'Kid' Jensen before Rock and Roll explodes out of the gate. Bonzo is like a thunderous stampede, hammering at his drums with incredible intensity. Page tears through the guitar solos during an aggressive Sick Again. In My Time of Dying is a wild cacophony. The band gets a bit lost in the melee at times. Plant hints at You Shook Me near the end of the song. Page's fingers are a bit sticky during The Song Remains the Same. Plant tells the crowd "my left arm is swollen beyond all proportion because I just had it chipped for cholera and smallpox and everything else that we might catch while we go hunting in the jungle for new words and new songs for a new album" following The Rain Song.Jones is introduced as "Jonesy the maestro" before No Quarter. The electric piano intro is nearly inaudible due to PA problems, recovering before the first verse. Jones's ominous piano solo is followed by a long, wandering guitar solo from Page. Fans consider this one of the greatest versions of the song. Plant hints as When the Levee Breaks while introducing Tangerine as "a song of simple love, first love." That's the Way is beautiful. As the song ends, Bonzo announces "Robert Plant on vocals!" Plant tells the crowd "I think this evening is beginning to feel... silly!" before an explosive Trampled Underfoot. Bonzo is introduced as "a friend, a truly great percussionist, a man with a big heart" before Moby Dick.Plant unleashes a spine-chilling scream at the beginning of the third verse of Dazed and Confused. The bow solo is preceded by a hauntingly heavy San Francisco interlude. Page shreds erratically through the guitar solo/workout section. The band nearly falls apart during the return to the main riff. The thunderous finale is punctuated by another blood-curdling scream from Plant. Stairway to Heaven is dedicated to journalist Chris Schaar Murray, who had recently described the band as "like a vibrator, it can get you off something ridiculous, but it can't kiss you goodnight." Page delivers an excellent guitar solo. The band closes the show with a devastatingly heavy Black Dog.

I tend to like these early shows at Earls Court most like due to the fact that most people play the 24th or 25th.Man i wish someone would release video of ther first three nights!!!!! The recording is a bit better tonight. The recorder is closer to the stage tonight allowing the drums and bass to retain somewhat of a separate sound. It also keeps them from becoming muddled together from the less-than-desirable acoustics of the venue. The audience tonight is very polite and quiet. Plant goes into a spell after Over The Hills about how it took three weeks to get the equipment through British customs. In My Time Of Dying could is extremely heavy tonight and could very well be the show point throughout the series of shows, despite Jimmy having Equipment problems during his second solo. The bottlenecked guitar and the skull crushing drums are HEAVY! Kashmir suffers from the high end distortion as well as a spot or two of tape flutter. It's an overall good version as the guitar and drums are high in the mix and the Mellotron is lower.Jimmy again having equipment problems, but i love his insane soloing at the outro of the song. he always goes crazy and i love it! No Quarter is again really good, but not like the previous night. it still is a great performance , the recording sounds good too. The low key, mellow bluesy almost jazz like at times jam section is splendid. Jimmy's loose fingers go a long way to expand the piece around Jonesy's piano structure. the acoustic section is amazing as always. i really love that they did this for these five shows. Tangerine is introduced as utilizing a four part harmony, a first for Zeppelin. The acoustic set is slow and delicate, Plant talking about fairy tales the the like during his audience chat-up. That's The Way gets a deafening applause. Bonzo really applies the lyrics during the Stomp almost overshadowing Plant at times. This is the show that has Plant making a scene over Peter Grant, "the fifth member" of Led Zeppelin. "Spotlight on Mr. Peter Grant on the left side of the stage". Trampled Underfoot Is really heavy tonight! it has Page hitting all of the high notes, his fingers keeping from getting tangled up. Trampled again contains the Gallows Pole lyrics at the end. Bonzo is introduced by Plant as "A man with no taste, no manners, no friends.... sigh.... my very best friend, the man who always kicks me when I'm down.... ladies and gentlemen.... John Bonham - MOBY DICK!". Dazed And Confused pushes past the half hour mark. The playing is a much more inspired tonight over last. i Love jimy experimentation throughout the jam section, with jonesy and bonzo keeping hot on his trail. this is one of the better 1975 performances.. Stairway is a Gem as always, in which Jimmy takes us on a magical journey threw music. whole lotta love Tonight it includes the funky section, Theramin blasts as well as The Crunge lyrics before linking non-stop into Black Dog.

Man it is just amazing!when they get going in that jam section, Jonesy sets the tone and Bonzo comes in and gets it pushing. But when Jimmy comes in, something happens, something magical!!!! He follows Jonesy and Bonzo so well tonight, he rides right along with them, keeping the tone the whole way threw. it really is one of the best performances of No Quarter. And for this being their first show in 2 months, i'd say they did an excellent job! I very much enjoy that they brought back the acoustic section. its so enjoyable! Bron-y-aur is so high energy! In My Time Of Dying tonight is also Really good! And Dazed is a far out ride into a sea of explosive musical genius! Stairway is as beautiful as always! Page shreds wildly through the guitar solo during Nobody's Fault But Mine. Jones delivers a dramatic piano solo during No Quarter, which develops into an upbeat honky tonk jam as Page and Bonzo join in. The guitar solo section is an epic journey with Bonzo leading the way. The band receives a rapturous ovation as the piece comes to a close. Plant urges Jones to "leave the Heineken alone" while waiting for him to retrieve the triple neck before an excellent Ten Years Gone. He hints at Gallows Pole before introducing Going to California as "a pictorial sketch of a conflict between a man and himself." There is a cut in the tape near the end of White Summer/Black Mountain Side. Plant delivers a strong performance during Kashmir. Bonzo thrashes wildly at anything within reach during a frantic Achilles Last Stand. Plant barks aggressively during the show-closing Rock and Roll.
