Brick Through Front Window Update and Donor Thanks flashjazzcat 2022-10-15 | On the morning of 14 October 2022, someone threw a lump of brick through our front window. The projectile came right through the window and grazed the back of the television set. We've lived at this address for fifteen years, and for a dozen of those years, we were pretty much completely content. Since the end of 2019, the landlord having all but abandoned their responsibilities when it comes to maintenance (citing muh pandemic, etc, as an excuse), and with six of the dozen social housing dwellings surrounding our house inhabited by new occupants who arrived during the past two years, the neighbourhood is barely recognisable. Hopefully we will leave this rented property next year for a home of our own, and honestly, that day can't come soon enough.
