I Tested Out A BUNCH of FREE Drawing Apps!

Clayrity 2025-05-24 | In this video, I tested a lot of free drawing apps I found including ibis paint, autodesk sketchbook, tayasui sketches, MediBang paint, iArtbook, and Art Set

THIS VIDEO TOOK ME *SO* LONG TO MAKE! I think I actually started working on this before I made my little png sprites, and I just never found the time to edit it! I was somewhat working on my Remaking Middle School OCs video before this one, and my brain didn't want me to edit two videos at once, and also wanted to get the one that was started first finished first!
I know, I have no idea why my brain is like this either!
Making the drawings was OBVIOUSLY the most fun part of this process! Despite all my complaints when it comes to some of these apps, every one of them worked beautifully and I genuinely enjoyed drawing with them
There are some things like the paragraph above that I wish I had just added to the script and/or redid a part of the voiceover to say...but I genuinely did NOT have the time for it!
During the process of making this video, I was not doing good mentally, and you can actually hear it in my voice in the first part of the voiceover before the "intermission" because I recorded those on different days.
I"M FINE NOW! But it is weird to look back on.
And it's also weird to see my art in this video because it took so long to make...that I think I have improved quite a lot with my art since then so that's fun lol!

SIX - Animatic (This was my college English project-)

This was kind of our "Final" (We are going to be doing a real final in a few days lol), and I decided to go big or go home lol

It was meant to be a muli-media thing, and when my professor described it, I thought it would be a good idea to do an animatic...!
Then it took me 30 hours and I don't know how-
I planned out, in thumbnails, the entire song...but I ended up having to just chop it to meet the deadline, because 30 hours of work only equated to 2 minutes of content somehow
HOWEVER, I am really happy with how this animatic turned out, and we had to make it really deep and meaningful and relate it to our own lives...so...figure that out, I guess

I'm kind of scared, nervous, and self-conscious to present it, so wish me luck with that lol!

If you didn't know, I took a break in January, and for that break, I decided to do the only logical thing and just make a full animatic like I have always wanted to make!
There are a few things that I wish I had done a little differently, and I wish I added more animations and all that, but I think it adds something to the rest of the animatic to make it more reliant on tweening rather than frame-by-frame animation.
I learned a lot from making this animatic and I am so happy, and I can't wait to continue things like this in the future!
...because I'm taking another break lol

AHHHH This was so fun to make even though I wanted to chuck my apple pencil out the window!!!
As much as I hate doing storyboards even though they are necessary, when I was done with them and started working on the real animatic, it felt so good!
I haven't worked on an animatic in a while, let alone one that was inked instead of sketched, so this felt like a cleansing balm for the soul!
I have been really busy with school and play practice lately, so I am trying to balance everything all at once and it is really hard to do--but I can do it!
I am trying really hard, but I am tired so there won't be any over-complicated projects at the moment so....just don't expect them?

This honestly took me so long to make for just a simple meme video---not just for the timing, but also just because I constantly was starting it over because I thought it sucked so much
I just couldn't be happy with it for some reason so I guess it wasn't the best drawing day BUT I GOT IT DONE!!

I kind of have ideas for a SIX kotlc AU...so that's fun

I feel like just taking one long look at how I made this you can probably guess my stance on love triangles (and beyond lol)
Especially with the Kotlc one...it's just so weird to me
at first it just felt like "Yeah a love triangle" that I don't like but then it felt like it turned to a fantasy about Shannon liking the idea of two boys fighting over her? Idk, I could be wrong and I want to give Shannon the benefit of the doubt, but that is most of the time what love triangles are.
And no shade, we all want to feel wanted ...but gosh dang, I hate love triangles.
"Yes, lets teach young girls that they should compare boys like Gatorade flavors and that their only worth as a human is how many boys like them! AND teach young boys (and girls) that if someone is treating you like you are replaceable with another boy, you should still stay and fight for your love!"
Am I the only one that sees a problem with this?

Clayrity 2024-06-15 | Wow, who could have guessed that I was going to make another Keeper of the lost cities (kotlc) animatic made with procreate and procreate dreams. AND it's Fitz Vacker---
Now I am making my sister proud by using a Taylor Swift song (I can do it with a broken heart [clean version lol])!

I had so many good ideas for how I wanted this animatic to go, and I wasn't able to execute AnY of them! So, in other words, I am not very proud of this animatic at allllllll BUUUUUUTTTTTT it's not the worst thing I created so I am still showing you! I mean, I am proud of some parts, but other than those...it was just a pain to do lol
The drawing portion was ok, though I swear I started over 80000 times lol! But once I finally found the grove it wasn't that bad...but the EDITING WAS SUCH A PAIN!!
For some reason, I accidentally set the frame rate to 60 FRAMES PER SECOND!!!!!!!!!!! Why did I do that?!?!? I don't know! But It really made everything a pain and I didn't even realize it until it was too late and I was practically done! I wondered why it was so difficult to do...well, there's the reason, Storm. I am such a freaking idiot lol! I apologize!
But still---even with all the pain of all the editing and tweening.......I'm still not proud of it!!!
It was seriously a little worthless lol!
But I do love the ending and that is the thing that made it all worth it lol!

Anyway!
If you cannot tell by now...I love Fitz a lot!
I mean, it was kind of obvious. I've adopted him as well. So he's my son now!
I added a lot of small details in this animatic! And I also thought WAY too much about symbolism lol! There is a lot of symbolism and just small things I added into it!!!
I mean, I feel like there is one that's practically the most obvious---but maybe it isn't obvious because I didn't think about it until I was almost done lol!

All You Wanna Do (⚠️) | Keeper of the Lost Cites Animatic (SIX The Musical)

OH MY GOSH I'm shaking lol!!!!! This is still my favorite animatic I have ever created and I seriously cannot believe that the old one is A YEAR OLD! It jumpscared me and I was so nervous that I wouldn't be able to get this out in time! But I got a random burst of motivation at the end lol!!
There are definitely things that I like about the old one that I wish I added in this one as well so maybe next year I'll get the best of both words lol!
But seriously, this took a long time to make! Over a month lol!
And adding it all together (not including editing) it took: 32 hours and 21 minutes...
I hope the fruits of my labor were worth it!

Anyway, the original description in the old animatic was cringey and milquetoast because I was scared of triggering myself so here is me just expressing opinions:
I find Fitz to be one of the most complex characters in all of KOTLC. That’s my opinion, and you can say “Well this character is more complex!” if you want, but that is just how you look at the series. His father put him to work and to go to a really nasty world at six years old (just look at everything happening on the news and imagine a six year old walking through that alone). And not to mention that he was six nine months before the human baby was six soooo…(that is something that I will never be able to NOT be upset about in the series). I’m pretty sure that he also has C-PTSD (a condition where you experience some symptoms of PTSD along with some additional symptoms, such as: difficulty controlling your emotions and feeling very angry or distrustful towards the world.) And his trauma response and defense mechanism is so much like mine that he has become a comfort character of mine. I want to say that: He doesn’t have anger issues. Calling it that diminishes and waters down what he is actually going through and I am really scared that a bunch of 12 year olds are going to grow up completely not understanding complex trauma and defense mechanisms because of KOTLC (I’m only half joking). And by the way: Calling it anger issues and not taking anger issues seriously is also a bad thing! Anger issues are usually a result of an underlying disorder for things like alcoholism, depression, OCD (I have that lol), and ADHD to name a few—you shouldn’t treat it as “just getting angry”. Anger is a natural and instinctual response to threats, especially when you feel distress BECAUSE YOU ARE TRIGGERED (medical sense) and you kick in to “fight and flight”. Anger issues are a serious thing so don’t throw that word around. Fitz doesn’t have anger outburst he has triggers so please do not just go around saying, “Oh whooo he’s angry—”
I just needed to get that off my chest because I don’t want 12+ people to have a twisted worldview on mental health and trauma.

A lot of care and work has been put into this animatic and I am so glad that I get to share it with you all finally!
At first, when I finished this, I thought that it wasn't that good, but it has somehow grown on me!
It took so so long to make and I'm so happy that I finally got it finished after a lot of procrastinating and wondering if I should make this, or if people were going to get mad at me for this, or if they were going to be exited for this! But I made it! And now I'm so happy about it!
I'm sorry for being so energetic about this, but I really am so so happy!
Though, making it was a lot of work and me wanting to throw my Ipad out the window lol. Especially when I was working in procreate dreams--like, okay...this made me realize I'm fully sticking with procreate for now while I wait for updates lol! All the little things like the small overshoots had to take so much finagling and a lot of layers with disembodied body parts and stuff like that...that I could have done in seconds with the selection tool! I talk about this a lot, but I really need a selection tool in procreate dreams lol
But it got it done and I'm so happy about it!!!

Okay. *Claps hands* Rant time.
I want to acknowledge the fact that this entire animatic is about these three boys feeling like they are being stuck in Sophie's story and having no individuality and doing everything only for her...I mean, they don't matter as individuals and their story never gets told and is never going to be told...
Except Keefe's.
His story gets told by the fandom, by Shannon, and by the books in general! Half of book 8.5 pov was his and he's getting an entire book about his story! (book 9.5--I'm excited about it)
His story, his individuality, gets told and shown constantly. While a lot of it does have to do with Sophie, it's still there that he GETS A STORY in the first place. (I have a bad habit of seeing book characters as real people so bear with me)
Like, he's about to get an entire book about HIM! About something that...really isn't that important? Like, I don't think we need to know about his time in the human world, and if we do, it can be incorporated in a different way. Shannon, are you *stalling*?! (That's only a half joke)
I feel like it would be much more interesting to get a story about Fitz going to the human world from when he was 6 years old to 15, or Vespera's full backstory, or HeCk an entire book about how every single married couple in the series got together!
I mean, Keefe's story already gets told so much...I want some other characters to shine. (by the way, that's where Keefe says "I've told you about my life..." came into the animatic lol)
then again, this is coming from someone who would read a 900 page book all about Dex brushing his teeth sooooo...
And I know, I'm the minority here and so many people love Keefe, and why should I deter from their happiness for him getting an entire book?
Take my opinion with a grain of salt lol
I mean, I'm not going to pretend I'm not really excited for this book--because I am!
Just wanted to add this to explain that this is why Keefe doesn't have his own "moment" in the animatic, and this entire story is that he's inviting Fitz and Dex to tell their stories and taking himself out of the spotlight for them. (While still supporting them from the sidelines!)
It would never happen in the books because he only cares about Sophie--but I can dream! /j

OkAY--I have a really big problem lol!
I have been thinking about this AU *a lot* lately! I have had the idea for it for a while, but this is kind of the first time I introduced it to my channel! (Wait--that's a lie--I made a short one time, but I don't think any of you remember that lol)
It's basically an AU in which I just pushed EVERYONE in the OPPOSITE direction after Book 8--basically, nothing in book 8.5 or 9 exist in this universe---and a lot of crazier stuff happens and I have no earthy idea why I came up with this...It started with wanting Fitz to have the character arc he deserved but it dissolved into madness lol!
And now I have a bunch of weird ships that somehow manifested from this...including my favorite that includes Fitz and Stina after a few character arcs lol...I don't know how it happened but now I am really invested so...
LET ME STRESS THAT THIS IS AN AU!
Also, I discovered the concept of Wish and now I am fully sucked in lol! Why, Disney! I want Starboy and Asha!

Anyway, here is some random lore drop about Fina (come up with a better ship name lol)
They are basically functioning as the opposite of Sokeefe
Like, for example, they kind of just want to protect each other in the way of not...leaving each other alone lol! That sounds kind of wrong, but trust me, it's good! Like, while Keefe would rather push Sophie into some light and make her go away from the danger, Fitz and Stina would rather pull each other closer and protect them by taking every blow for them or something lol!
Not saying one’s better and one’s worse—I’m just saying their different
I know I said they are kind of the opposite of Sokeefe, but they are also their own relationship and all that stuff lol! Like, I kind of just accidentally made them the opposite when trying to develop them!

This animatic is more of a proof of concept I didn't spend much time on lol!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Well, it isn't Thanksgiving yet and this is just kind of a thrown together PMV that I didn't expect to finish so early and since the colors looked kinda autumn, I decided to upload this early as a sort of "theme" thing!
Meanwhile, my WoF fans are wondering why they subscribed in the first place... (I'm working on things, I promise!)
Anyway, this was really fun to make! I procrastinated A LOT with the sketch so I didn't think I would get it done any time soon, but when I completed it I had the constant urge to work on this!
And it paid off considering I finished it in three days after that lol!
This was honestly so fun to make! I don't know why, but after the storyboard was done, I just had a blast! I attempted some watercolor things with the background and I'm actually really proud of them! I like the color palette I chose and *symbolism* and just the way this animatic flows!
And also, the tweening gave me SO MUCH PAIN! But it looks cool so I'll give it a pass, even though I felt like MURDERING Cute Cut. I might transfer over to capcut for tweening soon because GOSH DANG!
That or....I'll just use procreate dreams. I'm so excited for procreate dreams! I already have it preordered and even though I know it is going to take some getting used to, I already know what projects I'm going to work on with it!

But enough about me gushing! Let me talk about the pmv for a minute!
Soooo...I usually let you figure out things on your own with my stuff, but this time I am going to tell you SOMETHING because my horrible drawing skills demanded it:
Fitz throughout this entire animatic is YOUNG FITZ! When he is drawn with a white outline and when his colors are blue THAT IS CURRENT FITZ!
I did such a bad job showing that and I'm so sorry for it because gosh DANG it!
And this was a really, really impulsive project that I didn't expect to get so invested in...but then I got really invested in sooooooooo....enjoy!
Again, with my Fitz-loving shenanigans---what is wrong with me? I don't think anyone likes me lol...
Anyway, a lot of symbolism in this! ESPECIALLY In the backgrounds *wink wink*

This...this took a GoSh DAnG long time, and all because I was just being a big procrastinator! I thought I found a better way to make animatics faster with my I'd Give Anything animatic, but...it didn't work out. It just made me a bigger procrastinator and also made less motion in the animatic soooooo....I need a better way to do these things lol!
This animatic idea has been in my head for so long, and I have always been meaning to make it...and now that I have....I should have waited.
I just...I'm not that proud of the way this turned out and I probably should have waited 'till I was, you know, better at animatics, better at drawing...and just better at videos in general, I guess lol!
But...what's done is done and I'm not going to waste 13 hours and 38 minutes of work because I should just do better lol!
I may remake this one day! Idk tho lol!

Anyway....
I tried to go through a character arc of drawing hands with this animatic.
It didn't go well.
Please ignore it.
And Fintan is cool and I wish we knew more about him and his backstory and...you know...all that fun stuff that seems to be absent from the series.
I also want to get Gisela's backstory (pardon my spelling---I don't have the energy to look up her name right now lol) because...she seriously had a plan before she manifested her abilities! She was seriously just a child! So what drove her to it?
In this animatic, I kinda had the idea of Fintan finding her, but really, I hardly have theories for her backstory---and my best guess is that she was manipulated by her parents or something lol.
BUT THIS ANIMATIC ISN'T ABOUT GISELA---IT'S ABOUT FINTAN!!!!!!!!

Anyway:
This animatic was so fun to make because all I could do was make Fintan sing. I didn't have to think about hidden and double meanings, all I had to do was make Fintan a total girlboss. I love different meanings and all that fun stuff, but it was nice to have a break and just make someone sing a ballad lol!
