What they don't realize is that there's a fate far worse than being forgotten. No AI was used in the making of VHX. It was animated one frame at a time using real vintage VHS tapes, magnets, and beeswax with a digital assist from After Effects, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve. The voices were performed by a UK/US cast, the sound design was recorded with more tapes, and the music was realized with a blend of modern and era-accurate synthesizers.VHX premiered at FrightFest 2024 then screened at dozens more film, horror, and animation festivals all over the world, picking up several awards along the way.
