Inside the Mind of Splatoon 3 Crab Tank Users Alphastar716 2022-11-24 | In Splatoon 3, one of the most popular special weapons that have become part of the early game meta is the Splatoon 3 Crab Tank. The Crab Tank is a turret-style special that can rapidly fire ink at an individual opponent or launch area of affect projectiles that reach around corners. It also has the option to slowly strafe while shooting or morph into a ball to protect its user. The special is incredibly bulky and as long as its driver stays protected, it can power into the action, wiping out the enemy team. PLAYING MARCO POLO IN SPLATOON 3 Alphastar716 2022-11-06 | A couple weeks ago I played with some fans in my Discord server. This time, we weren't playing Splatoon 2 though. No, this time we tried out our very Splatoon 3 minigame. The minigame that we played was based on the swimming pool tag-based game Marco Polo and it was created by FizzyBro! On each team, there is one person who's "it" that must use a weapon with a burst bomb in its kit. The other 3 players are the hiders who spend the match trying to avoid the people who are "it". For the first 30 seconds of the match, the hiders scatter across the map, any of the Splatoon 3 maps being eligible for the minigame. After that, the people who are "it" leave their base and they have the remaining duration of the match to find all of the hiders. The catch is they have to keep their map open for the entire match, with the hiders giving them hints about their location by throwing splat bombs at their feet every couple of seconds. If someone who's "it" throws a burst bomb and it damages a hider on impact then they're eliminated. Whoever can find the most hiders wins. How Splatoon Players See Splatoon 3 Alphastar716 2022-10-16 | Splatoon 3 has been out for a little over a month now, and people are have begun to cement their impressions and thoughts on the game. A large group of Splatoon 3 players previously played Splatoon 2 and there exists a lot of comparisons between Splatoon 3 and Splatoon 2. So I wanted to make a satirical video showing what its like for a Splatoon 2 player to first experience Splatoon 3 and how they might react to the game’s features, both returning and new. Inside the Mind of Splatoon 3 Stringer Mains Alphastar716 2022-09-23 | With Splatoon 3 out now, there’s been a bunch of new kits and weapon types available to players. One new weapon type are the Splatoon 3 Stringers. The stringers are a bow and arrow style class with very long range and potentially high damage output. That said, they’re more meant to support the rest of your team by racking up chip damage on enemy players in order to make them an easy splat. Right now, there’s 2 options for the types of Splatoon 3 players who’d like to get into the stringer class: the tri-stringer and the REEF-LUX. The prior is a long ranged bow that has arrows which explode shortly after impact while the latter is a faster bow that can store its charge. In the right hands, the Splatoon 3 stringers can be a real threat on the field. What weapon would you like me to cover next? FINALLY Playing the Splatoon 3 Story Mode Alphastar716 2022-09-18 | So Splatoon 3's been out for over a week now and while I've played most of what it has to offer including the multiplayer and tableturf battle dojo, one area that I haven't really explored yet is the single player. THE SPLATOON 2 GRAYSCALE GAUNTLET Alphastar716 2022-09-05 | Over the past 4 years, we’ve done almost 3 dozen Splatoon 2 fan sessions, most of which we’ve conjured up a new way to play the game together. With Splatoon 3 coming later this week, this minigame will mark the final Splatoon 2 with Fans video. This minigame is called Grayscale Gauntlet and it was created by TopazTiger and GinaXkiip. To play this game, you must change your Switch display to grayscale and turn off color lock in Splatoon 2. The game is played on two Splatoon 2 maps: MC Princess Diaries and Sweet Valley Tentacles. To win the minigame you must not only win the turf war but you and your team must also rack up the most splats and destroyed stage obstacles. Winning the Splatoon 2 turf war nets you 5 points, destroying stage obstacles gives you 3 points per obstacle destroyed and splats net you 1 point each. The team with the most points at the end wins! DROP ROLLING SPLATOON 2 TETRA DUALIES Alphastar716 2022-08-22 | One of the most used dualies in Splatoon 2 are the Tetra Dualies and for good reason. They have decent range, can shoot during their roll and most importantly have 4 rolls available to them before they have any endlag. So before we go to Splatoon 3, I wanted to take the tetra dualies to the next level by adding a fifth roll to the kit with the drop roller ability. To complement it, I also equipped quick super jump and quick respawn to get back in the action as fast as possible and to cushion my recklessness. KING OF THE HILL IN SPLATOON 2 Alphastar716 2022-07-16 | A couple weeks ago I played Splatoon 2 with some fans on my discord server. The minigame that we played was called King of the Hill and it was created by ジバンヤン12. Both teams are fighting toward one common objective: to claim the "hill" in the middle of the map. In order to claim the hill, both teams are required to build up a power clam and climb to the top of the hill, where they must remain until either the match ends or they are splatted. Any of the players are capable of playing this role and when they're not, it is their job to either protect or escort their own king to the tower. If one team has control of the tower, the other team can neutralize that control by splatting the current king from a point on the map other than the hill. Other members of the team are not allowed to use that fallen king's power clam. Whoever has control over the zone at the end wins. NEVER PLAY FALL GUYS FINAL ROUNDS LIKE THIS... Alphastar716 2022-07-04 | Last week, I played Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout on the Switch with my chat. In addition to doing some normal shows, we also decided to try a glitch that some veterans have told me about. The glitch was that, if you filled up a lobby with 60 people and then immediately selected certain shows, the game would just skip to a final where all 60 of those people would participate. This would add an even greater factor of chaos to games that were only meant to have a sixth of the people. We did this glitch on rounds like Fall Mountain, Hex-a-Gone, and more. Doing stuff like this definitely makes me want to do more fall guys challenges, fall guys montages, and just other wacky stuff with the game in general. How Splatoon 2 Players See Fall Guys Alphastar716 2022-06-30 | About a week ago, a fun little battle royale game was released for the Nintendo Switch. This game was Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, a game show-style game where up to 60 players compete to be the last player standing. A Fall Guys event took place where not only did it release on the Switch and Xbox, but it also went free to play. With Splatoon 3 not being released until September, this game has attracted the attention of many Splatoon players and Nintendo Switch players in general who wish to play another kind of multiplayer game. The 2 games are similar in some aspects like having similar music and being easy to get into. However, they also differ in other ways from movement to playstyle, allowing for a lot to be learned about Fall Guys. The minigame that we played was called Special Showdown and it was created by Lampoon. There are 2 different teams: one that tries to splat the enemy team as much as possible and the other that tries to build up as many specials as possible. For every splat the first team gets, one point is added to their overall score but if they win the turf war, they lose 5 points from their final score. For every special, the second team gets, 2 points are added to theirs but for every splat they get, they lose one point. Whoever had the most points at the end wins! How Splatoon 3s Marketing Department be Like Alphastar716 2022-05-23 | If there's one thing that has been a topic of discussion with Splatoon 3, it has been the way that the marketing team chooses to show off the game. The news which is shown can vary from radio silence for months to a few days or even weeks at a time of new details. CAPTURE THE FLAG IN SPLATOON 2 Alphastar716 2022-05-15 | A couple weeks ago I played Splatoon 2 with some fans on my discord server. The minigame that we played was called based on the popular school game Capture the Flag and it was created by Beta. Each team has one flag holder that uses a brush weapon not only to gather clams faster but also to distinguish themselves on the map. The other 3 players on each team must use any non-brush weapon. For the first 30 seconds, flag holders get one flag (power clam) and go to the other team’s base. For the remaining 4 and a half minutes, the other players try and smuggle the flag and make it back to their side. If they’re successful or they get splatted on the way back and no one picks up the flag, the flag holder must make another one and then the cycle starts again. Whoever collects the most flags wins. SPLATOON 2 SUB POWER UP KENSA .52 GAL Alphastar716 2022-05-01 | With the coming of a new month, I had the ability to do my splatoon 2 x rank placements again...except not in the “normal” way. So I decided to combine one of the most hated weapons in the entire game at the moment with one of the most obscure abilities for it. The reason being is that I was informed by a friend of mine and fellow content creator, Prochara, that the sub weapon that the kensa .52 gal possesses, the splatoon 2 splash wall, increases in HP the more sub power up you put on your gear. So I decided to test this out in rainmaker on two narrow Splatoon maps, Kelp Dome and Port Mackerel, and see what my results would be. Stick around until the end to find out what my X Rank power is. NEVER LET KIRBY DRIVE IN KIRBY AND THE FORGOTTEN LAND... Alphastar716 2022-04-15 | Kirby and the Forgotten Land is Kirby's first, charming step into the 3D world. The game is incredibly cute and fun to play with there being dozens of hidden little details which can net you extra Waddle Dees. However, with all of this cuteness, Kirby also possesses some terrifyingly powerful new modes such as the Mouthful Mode. This mode can allow Kirby to inhale a traffic cone, a sign, or even a deadly car which he can use to fight enemies. You'll see in this video how powerful the Kirby and the Forgotten Land Mouthful Mode can be, especially with the car making you nearly invincible while you accelerate. The ONE MAP that MUST be in Splatoon 3 Alphastar716 2022-04-01 | One of the fundamental parts of a Splatoon game are the maps that the players play on together. The quality of the maps is directly correlated to the amount of fun that players have in the game. Now there have been Splatoon 1 maps and Splatoon 2 maps of all shapes and sizes in the Splatoon series with some being absolutely excellent while others are...interesting. Today, we'll be briefly looking at what makes a great map and using that outline to pick one Splatoon map that must be the highest priority of the devs of being ported into Splatoon 3. If this map is in Splatoon 3 alongside the other maps which hopefully have the same formula, then Splatoon 3 will be a truly spectacular game. How to REINVENT Splatoon 3s Private Battles Alphastar716 2022-03-24 | One aspect of Splatoon 2's multiplayer that I've really enjoyed was private battles. I loved the ability to get a group of friends together and play whatever you want. However, while they're fun, I feel like private battles have their limits. In this video, I'll be talking about how to improve Splatoon 3 private battles and possibly even increase long-term interest in the game. These changes could allow players to create Splatoon 3 custom modes and have more fun with the game. TORPEDO TAG (Splatoon 2 Funny Moments With Fans #31) Alphastar716 2022-03-06 | A couple weeks ago I played Splatoon 2 with some fans on my discord server. The minigame that we played was called Torpedo Tag and it was created by Jishatastic. This minigame takes place on turf war and there are 2 teams. A team made of bamboozlers restricted to a certain area and a team of kensa splattershot jrs (preferably) throwing torpedoes at them. After a minute of setting up, the torpedo throws torpedoes to “tag” the bamboozler players by splatting them and once they are tagged, they must stay out until their last teammate is splatted. If the entire team gets wiped twice, then the torpedo team wins but if at least one person survives until the end then the bamboozler team wins. Honest Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ad Alphastar716 2022-02-24 | About a month ago, Pokemon Legends: Arceus was released for the Nintendo Switch and with it a much needed rework of the Pokemon formula. Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a more open-world style Pokemon game that allows you to explore an ancient past of the Sinnoh region shown in the gen 4 Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Of course, the first new attempt at almost anything is bound to have a couple flaws which I'll also be talking about in this Honest Ad of Legends of Arceus. I SANG TO GET NINTENDO DIRECT GAMES I WANTED + REACTION Alphastar716 2022-02-10 | Yesterday, a Nintendo Direct took place and I reacted to the Nintendo Direct live. Now usually streamers start a few minutes early to set up and test things properly but also to hype up the Nintendo Direct. Some predictions are talked about beforehand, and people put their hopes into what they want being announced. I was in that category of trying to summon the games I wanted but I had a slightly different way of doing it. SPLATOON 1 DAMAGE UP CHARGER VS. HACKERS Alphastar716 2022-01-30 | In all of the cursed weapon builds, I’ve mainly been trying out abilities in Splatoon 2 that, while they would be pointless in most scenarios, they can at least be funny to toy around with. Some previous cases have included the respawn punishing luna or special charge up aerospray. But in this video, I decided to go back to Splatoon 1 to try out some of the abilities in that game. While Splatoon 2 has MPU, Splatoon 1 had a much more extreme version of that being damage up. In the case of chargers, at least the Splatoon 1 splat charger and E-liter 3k, you could kill an opponent with about 3 quarters or even just over half a shot instead of needing to fully charge it if the opponent was wearing minimal or no defense up to counter it. In addition to that, one of the E-liter 3k kits had access to burst bombs that could make splatting your opponent even easier. So I decided to finally try out chargers in one of these videos with one of the best abilities for them in the franchise. On top of that, we also ran into some Splatoon 1 hackers which will spice up the video that much more as they either turn the game into easy mode or impossible mode depending on their team. Noob Fights Cynthia for the FIRST TIME EVER | Pokémon Shining Pearl Alphastar716 2022-01-16 | A couple weeks ago, I finally made it to the Pokemon League in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. There I had steamrolled my way through the elite four and made my way to the Sinnoh region pokemon champion: Cynthia. Before this battle, the game felt pretty easy and my Sinnoh pokemon team was overleveled compared to all of my opponents...and then Cynthia came along. GIFT GRABBERS (Splatoon 2 Funny Moments with Fans #30) Alphastar716 2021-12-26 | Happy (late) Christmas! A couple weeks ago I played Splatoon 2 with some fans on my discord server. The minigame that we played this time around was called Gift Getters and was created by Octo Ubers. This minigame takes place on clam blitz and the 2 teams are split into the young present grabbers and the elves (or parents, or cops it changes on the minute of the video) being all rollers. No one wants people to receive their presents early or anything, they want to wait until Christmas day. The roller team is there to enforce that belief by rickrolling all those who dare build up a present (power clam) and run away with it. The present grabbers on the other hand are restricted to rolling as well so they have to try and outspeed the competition and get their gifts early successfully. The minigame is won if at least a majority of grabbers collect their presents. MEGA MINESWEEPER (Splatoon 2 Funny Moments With Fans #29) Alphastar716 2021-12-11 | A couple weeks ago I played Splatoon 2 with some fans on my discord server. The minigame that we played this time around was called Mega Minesweeper and was created by Galactic Salt. This minigame takes place on turf war and both teams are required to use the inkbrush nouveau- the only brush that has ink mines as its Splatoon 2 sub-weapon. In addition, one can only roll with the brush unless they're trying to climb a wall or unless they're trying to eliminate an enemy. Enemies can be eliminated by tagging them with an ink mine because afterward they are not allowed to move until the point sensor effect of the ink mine wears off. The team with the most kills at the end is the victor. F A S T SPLATOON 2 INKBRUSH Alphastar716 2021-11-18 | With the coming of a new month, I had the ability to do my splatoon 2 x rank placements again...except not in the “normal” way. You see: I have a need for speed. So I decided to take the permanent inkbrush equipped with the sprinkler and ink armor into ranked and on top of it I equipped way too much MPU on it to go just a pinch faster. I also added some swim speed and ink resistance to be faster all around. I used it in X rank tower control (listen, I hated all of the clam blitz maps in rotation during the week, sue me) on Snapper Canal and Musselforge Fitness. The game also enjoyed pairing me with some top 500 players which gave us some drastically high-power lobby, at least for my standards. What weapon do you want me to put a cursed ability on next? Honest Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Ad Alphastar716 2021-11-07 | So 2 years ago, I had made an Honest Nintendo Switch Online video which was a satirical video poking at a lot of Nintendo's...just awful decisions with their online. So what has happened over the past 2 years? Next to nothing, really. Well actually, in addition to the subpar Nintendo online we're already given, we got some N64 and Sega Genesis games added to it. There was also the Animal Crossing DLC bundled in with it to and there's no way (at least at the moment) to get the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack without that. While Animal Crossing: Happy Home Paradise was some cool DLC, the Genesis and N64 games, especially the online multiplayer come with some very buggy features. WITCHING HOUR (Splatoon 2 Funny Moments With Fans #28) Alphastar716 2021-11-01 | Happy (late) Halloween or Splatoween! A couple weeks ago I played Splatoon 2 with some fans on my discord server. The minigame that we played this time around was called Splat Zone Shutdown. This minigame takes place on turf war with each team having 3 witch hunters and 1 witch. The witches' powers are suppressed for the first 2 minutes of the match, so they must fend for themselves with only splatoon 2 sub-weapons, splatoon 2 special weapons, and the support of the witch hunters they’ve convinced into defending them. Witches don’t have the ability to super jump and once there’s only 1 minute remaining in the match, they can use their main weapon to its fullest extent. By contrast, the witch hunters can only use their main weapons. Points are given out based on how many times the witches in particular die. If you go too offensive you leave your witch wide open but if you don’t, you won’t be able to score any early points. Who Will be the MAIN VILLAIN of Splatoon 3? | Splatoon Theory Alphastar716 2021-10-24 | About a month ago, a new Splatoon 3 trailer was shown in the Nintendo Direct that not only showed off more multiplayer, but also displayed a very intriguing single player, with the title “Return of the Mammalians”. Being a geek for the possible plot of this game, I studied the splatoon 3 single player trailer to gather what info I could out of it. SPLAT ZONE SHUTDOWN (Splatoon 2 Funny Moments With Fans #27) Alphastar716 2021-10-11 | A couple weeks ago I played Splatoon 2 with some fans in my discord server. The minigame that we played this time around was called Splat Zone Shutdown. This minigame takes place on splat zones, which is a newer mode we’ve tried implementing for these fan sessions. It’s similar to splatoon 2 splat zone’s rules but much more intense and hectic. Both teams start out like normal, heading to the middle of any 1 zone map in the game, however once you take the zone you can’t leave the zone until the enemy takes control of it. Then the cycle repeats but this time with the enemy team. All main weapons and subs are allowed at any time but special weapons can only be used by the team currently in control in the zone. If you activate it and then lose control, then you can still use it up. If you engage with an enemy right when your team takes the zone, you can fight them then head to zone or immediately disengage. The Emotional Cycle of Splatoon 3 Fans Alphastar716 2021-10-01 | From the first announcement of Splatoon 3 fans and future Splatoon 3 players back in February, to the more recent trailer shown in September's Nintendo Direct, Splatoon players have a quite humorous cycle of hype when they suspect more news about the game is incoming and then during and after any news they get for it. Viewers see the game and get super hyped, bumping up the traffic for Splatoon in general, and creators on the franchise put incredible amounts of effort into Splatoon 3 analysis and Splatoon 3 theories into these trailers to feed the traffic into the series. The CRAZY World of Splatoon Plaza Posts Alphastar716 2021-09-26 | While everyone's busy with their splatoon 3 analysis, analyzing splatoon 3 weapons, splatoon 3 features and all that other stuff, I- or actually the host of the splatoon 2 inkspedition had a video prepped for today that he's been working on for the past week. I Watched the Nintendo Direct with TEN SPLATUBERS IN THE SAME VOICE CHAT Alphastar716 2021-09-24 | So yesterday the rumored September 2021 Nintendo Direct took place and it was a very good direct overall. A lot of games that have been highly anticipated finally had some gameplay shown and there were new trailers as well hyping up new games. Sometimes during these directs, I like to react with one or a couple people to talk about it and keep me company in real time overall. However, this time around we had a LOT more than 1 or 2 people. For this Nintendo Direct, we had got approximately ten splatoon and nintendo content content creators together of all different sizes to react to the direct. SPLATOON 2 INK SAVER MAIN SPLATTERSHOT JR. Alphastar716 2021-09-15 | With the coming of a new month, I had the ability to do my splatoon 2 x rank placements again. Now word on the street is one of the best abilities to put on the splattershot jr is ink saver. However, there are 2 types of ink saver in the game and little old me doesn’t know which one to even go with. So I just took a shot in the dark and landed on ink saver main. I used it in X rank splat zones on Wahoo World and Ancho-V-Games. The game also enjoyed pairing me with some top 500 players which gave us some drastically high-power lobby, at least for my standards. What weapon do you want me to put a cursed ability on next? SEARCH AND DESTROY (Splatoon 2 Minigames With Fans #26) Alphastar716 2021-09-05 | A couple weeks ago I played Splatoon 2 with some fans in my discord server. The minigame that we played this time around was called Search and Destroy and it was created by Respect. This minigame takes place on tower control, which is a newer mode we’ve tried implementing for these fan sessions. It’s similar to splatoon 2 tower control’s rules but amplified to the extreme. Both teams start out like normal, racing to the tower, however if you die you must stay in your spawn until either your teammates get a wipe or your team gets wiped by the enemy team. Once one team has been fully eliminated, the victorious team gets a point and rides the tower all the way to one of your checkpoints. Once that checkpoint has been passed, the defeated team gets another round. All main weapons and subs are allowed just not specials. Do you have a minigame you’d like us to play next? How Sheldon Makes Splatoon Weapons Alphastar716 2021-08-23 | The weapons in Splatoon 2 are modeled after a plethora of things from the times of the humans. From water guns modified to shoot ink, paint rollers, and literal champagne bottles, Splatoon 2’s character Sheldon really finds many of these tools as an interesting source of inspiration. So the host of the Inkspedition paid Sheldon a little visit to go inside the mind of his weapon building, from some of Sheldon's picks to the newest Splatoon 2 weapons. BAIJI BEAKONS (Splatoon 2 Minigames with Fans #25) Alphastar716 2021-08-15 | A couple weeks ago I played Splatoon 2 with some fans in my discord server. The minigame that we played this time around was called Baiji Beakons and it was created by Rmcmuffin! If you watch this minigame, you'll notice it has a lot of similarities to the 11th minigame we had played on the channel: Beakon Blitz. In addition to the fact that's its been just over 2 years since that minigame took place, Muffin's idea was a much better functioning remix of this minigame in my eyes. In this minigame, you lay beakons all around the map but beakons are worth more the closer you put them near the enemy base. After every match, in editing, I tried my hardest to calculate the results using the last picture I could get of the maps with the beakons on them. MAIN POWER UP SPLATOON 2 SPLATTERSHOT PRO Alphastar716 2021-08-04 | With the coming of a new month, I had the ability to do my splatoon 2 x rank placements again. Now I could've played completely seriously in order to get my splatoon x rank power. Orrr I could meme around again and use something like a MPU splattershot pro. Admittedly, this gear was meant to be for the bamboo but I wanted to test the waters and see how I did in the pro. Later in the month, if you guys support it, I'll try and give the MPU bamboozler a shot. Regardless of weapon, this game continues to still pair me with some of the best of the best which is a real Splatoon 2 experience. What weapon do you want me to put a cursed ability on next? Playing World Crown for the 1st Time IS A NIGHTMARE in Mario 3D World Alphastar716 2021-07-29 | About a month ago, I played World Crown for the 1st time in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Even though the game had released on the Wii U several years ago, I had never made it to this point on that version before, meaning that this was my first time experiencing it. Amidst the fun that I had reliving this game for the first time in over 7 years since Super Mario 3D World released on the Wii U, there was also a bunch of chaos that occurred. From the lag (thanks Nintendo Switch Online) to the troll-like behavior throwing people off the stage, to just the frantic stages that virtually break on the 4-player co-op, the stream was absolutely crazy. However, once I started my nearly blind Champion's Road run, I attempted it completely alone.
