Lyft’s new airport experiences makes your summer travels easier. Our Summer Travel Release includes upgrades that help you get from here to vacation.
Get to your flight easily with Lyft
Now, iOS users can connect Apple Calendar to the Lyft app to get reminders about booking airport rides. Flight and terminal info will automatically appear in the Lyft app for easy reference. With Live Activities and Dynamic Island on iPhone, riders can track the progress of their ride and see updates without opening the Lyft app.
You can also schedule a ride with Lyft up to 30 days ahead. Next time you need a ride to the airport, schedule ahead and stress less.
Preorder a ride as soon as you land
Now you can preorder a ride as soon as your flight lands at select airports. We’ll handle the timing and match you with a driver as you get closer to the pickup spot. That means no more guessing when to book a ride, and shorter waits at the pickup area.
Visit our website for more details on how Lyft is making your summer travels easier.

On average, our highest earning drivers only cancel 4% of rides they accept. When drivers have a safety concern, they can and do cancel the ride. But canceling a ride for other reasons - like a long pick-up or because a passenger isn’t waiting at the curb as you pull-up - isn’t the best option for passengers or your earnings.

Marge (1200 rides in Toronto), Jeanette (13,000 rides in Chicago), Leon (3300 rides in Toronto), and Kelly (6400 rides in Boston) share how they say “hi” to their passengers and start their ride off with a positive first impression.
You know what they say about first impressions. And in a Lyft ride, your first impression can set you up for a smooth ride (and maybe even a generous tip). Not sure how to gauge whether your rider wants to chat after you say “hey”? Check our “How to tell if your Lyft rider wants to talk” video: youtu.be/q3RS30KGHuM

Remember, Lyft is a marketplace. That means, when there are more passengers requesting rides, drivers are more likely to get a ride request. What are the busy times and places in your city?
If you’re an approved Lyft driver, you can find more tips like these in the “When and where to drive” tutorial in the Lyft Learning Center: lft.to/3kYPtbK

In this video, Raquel shares some of the exercises and stretches she does between rides, to make sure she’s moving her body and not just her car.
Stretches are just one type of break drivers can take while they’re driving. Chelsea in Portland, Oregon, recommends moments of mindfulness and meditation. Kelly in Boston, Massachusetts recommends knowing where free and clean bathrooms are in your area. And Tim in Chicago, Illinois highly recommends a coffee break.

In this video, we talked to Lyft drivers Lakishe (4,400 rides in Atlanta), Dori (5,000 rides in San Diego), and James (4,500 rides in Chicago) and asked them to share the story of their favorite Lyft ride.
It’s a question drivers get from their passengers all the time - “do you have a favorite ride?” And, it’s one of our favorite questions too! So, we asked drivers from around the country to share a story about one of their favorite rides. From driving around a local celebrity, to picking up a ship restoration expert from the airport, these drivers did not disappoint.
Are you ready to start your journey as a Lyft driver, and give your favorite ride? Head over to lyft.com/driver

You don’t need to use your bank account or credit card to ride with Lyft. Just add money to your account at a participating location. There’s more than 35,000 of ‘em.
Here’s how it works:
Go to the main menu of the Lyft app and select ‘Payment’
Select ‘Add cash’ and then ‘In-store’
Use the map (it pops up automatically!) to find a participating location
Go to the cash register, and follow the prompts on your app to securely load your cash Bibbidy-bobbidy-boo. Your cash is now Lyft Cash, and you can use it to take rides.
