Electric Vehicle Festival @DominionRacewayNow - Road Course (w/ DATA) Brian Mausolf 2023-10-10 | A six minute long clip from a run on the road course at Dominion Raceway in Thornburg during the Electric Vehicle Festival of 2023. The vehicle is a 2015 Nissan LEAF S while the pace vehicle is a KIA EV6. This run was right after taking two passengers around the course and then letting them ride along in the EV6 while I followed. The data is from the LeafSpy app (an application made for the Nissan LEAF through much research and reverse-engineering that provides a ton of information and additional functionality for the car) and is translated into an overlay via Race Render. Since LeafSpy polls data every 3.75 seconds Race Render has to interpolate data between each polled data set; so some of the data will appear off or wonky at various points. Synchronization was also a pickle.The way the data is interpreted is as follows:RPM - This is the rpm of the drive motor itselfMotor- This is the power provided from the motor in watts (essentially representing the throttle)Speed- Vehicle speed in MPHVolts- Main battery voltageAmps- Current being taken from the main battery (+) or regenerated (-)Lat/Long/Alt/Map - Positional information from GPS*The video was sped up by 2x as Race Render has a three minute limitation on video length and then was slowed down by 0.5x to bring it to 1x speed. This notably has an effect on framerate and audio.

Electric Vehicle Festival @DominionRacewayNow - Road Course 360 Brian Mausolf 2023-10-08 | The 2023 Electric Vehicle Festival put on by @EVResource was held on October 7th at Dominion Raceway and Entertainment located right off of I-95 at Thornburg. During the event the road course was open for EV drivers to take their own cars out for a drive and even bring along passengers (fellow EVers and newbies wanting to learn). This was filmed as the last run of the day using a Kodak PIXPRO 360 camera mounted on the roof of a 2015 Nissan Leaf S (which was pretty much the oldest EV that was present (excluding an antique vehicle conversion)). Max speed overall was limited to 55MPH by the lead pace vehicle (a Ford Mustang Mach-e). A run earlier in the day was faster peaking at 65-70MPH but no 360 camera was available for that...

That didn't help matters when I "wiped out" shortly after starting. Decided halfway where the rock crossing part was enough and turned around.

Packard Bell PB450 1-3-1-3 POST Error Beeps Brian Mausolf 2020-04-28 | This PC was recently used in the testing of the Hate DOS virus which has a payload that corrupts the CMOS memory. This typically results in a "bad CMOS memory checksum" error on next boot. However, on next boot there was no activity (no display, beeps or anything) so it was assumed the BIOS had been corrupted alongside the CMOS. This mainbaord has a removable EEPROM chip that houses the BIOS/CMOS located near the backside of the ISA riser card.A BIOS flash recovery was performed using the J17 boot block jumper on the mainboard along with the correct version of the Phoenix BIOS for the ISA riser. According to the documentation, the BIOS flash procedure performs the operation successfully.However at power on there is a POST beep error. 1 short, 3 shorts, 1 short, 3 shorts. There is no display or any further activity after this. According to Phoenix BIOS error codes this represents a fatal error with the 8742 keyboard controller.
