☄️ Metroid: Zero Mission playlist ➜ youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcVjTFTIsvFE
After almost a year, Metroid finally returns to the channel - this time, with an actual beloved game of the series! We're diving into Samus' first ever adventure, revamped and improved for the Game Boy Advance! Samus is sent to Planet Zebes to eliminate the Space Pirates' operation. But first, it's time for us to upgrade our hero drastically in Brinstar.
➜ METROID: ZERO MISSION
The Metroid series is one of Nintendo's most influential franchises, combining exploration, action, platforming and atmospheric science fiction in sprawling interconnected worlds. Beginning with the original Metroid on the NES in 1986, the series introduced players to bounty hunter Samus Aran and encouraged them to explore hostile environments while gradually acquiring abilities that opened previously inaccessible areas. Together with games such as Castlevania, its approach to nonlinear exploration would eventually help inspire an entire genre now commonly known as the Metroidvania.
Released for the Game Boy Advance in 2004, Metroid: Zero Mission reimagines the original NES adventure from the ground up. Developed by Nintendo R&D1, the game retells Samus's first mission with completely redesigned environments, updated controls, new abilities, expanded storytelling and gameplay heavily influenced by later entries such as Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. Zero Mission substantially expands upon the original instead of simply remaking it with prettier graphics. The result includes entirely new areas and sequences that explore more of Samus's earliest adventure!
• Full Name: Metroid: Zero Mission
• System: Game Boy Advance
• Release Date (Europe): April 8th, 2004

➜ RESIDENT EVIL 2
Originally released in 1998 for the PlayStation and later for the Nintendo GameCube in 2003, Resident Evil 2 is one of the defining entries in Capcom's legendary survival horror franchise. Expanding upon the foundation of the original game, it introduces larger environments, multiple playable characters and a cinematic presentation that helped establish Resident Evil as one of gaming's premier horror series. The GameCube version preserves the classic experience while benefiting from improved visuals and performance on Nintendo's console.
Set during the devastating outbreak in Raccoon City, the story follows rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield, who find themselves trapped in a city overrun by zombies and terrifying bio-organic weapons! As they search for survivors and uncover Umbrella Corporation's dark secrets, they will face deadly creatures, challenging puzzles and constantly limited resources that define the survival horror genre.

➜ SONIC ADVENTURE DX: DIRECTOR'S CUT

The story follows Sonic and his friends as they face the mysterious water creature Chaos and the schemes of Dr. Ivo Robotnik (who is called by his nickname Eggman for the very first time here), who seeks to harness the power of the Chaos Emeralds to awaken the ancient monster's ultimate form. ➜ YOSHI'S ISLAND: SUPER MARIO ADVANCE 3
Originally released for the Super Nintendo in 1995 and later remade for the Game Boy Advance as Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 in 2002, Yoshi's Island is one of Nintendo's most beloved platformers. Rather than starring an adult Mario, the game tells the story of Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, who are separated by Kamek shortly after birth. It's up to a group of Yoshis to reunite the brothers and safely deliver them to their parents. With its unique crayon-inspired art style, inventive level design and unforgettable soundtrack, the game remains a standout entry in both the Mario and Yoshi series.
Unlike traditional Mario platformers, Yoshi relies on flutter jumps, egg throwing and creative transformations to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies. The game rewards exploration with hidden collectibles, secret rooms and perfect scores in every stage. Combined with imaginative bosses and constantly evolving mechanics, it delivers a fresh experience from beginning to end while showcasing some of Nintendo's most creative level design.

We tick off the remaining stars in the final world, Rainbow Ride, which is quite a hard task considering what this world is all about. All that brings us to the final mission of the game, where we collect red coins in the sky one last time before showing Bowser who's boss once and for all! Or something like that... Oh yeah, and Yoshi appears too.
And that is not only my 40th completed LP, but also the first revisit finished successfully! From this point on, this LP of Super Mario 64 will be the definitive version on the channel - the old one from 2025 will also be available if you want to watch the old one too, of course. :D Want to see more? The adventure begins as Mario receives an invitation to Princess Peach's Castle, only to discover that Bowser has taken over the castle and imprisoned its Power Stars inside magical paintings. This is the end of Minecraft: Season 1 - and therefore, my 39th finished LP! Expect to see this beautiful game back on the channel in about 6-9 months. For now, if you want to see more, check out my other currently running LPs: Super Mario 64, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut, and soon: Resident Evil 2!

➜ MINECRAFT
Released to the public in 2009, Minecraft quickly grew from a small indie sandbox project into one of the most influential video games ever created. Originally developed by Markus "Notch" Persson before being expanded by Mojang Studios, the game gives players unprecedented freedom to explore, build, survive and create within a procedurally generated world made entirely of blocks. Its open-ended gameplay and limitless creativity helped define an entire generation of gaming.
One of Minecraft's most fascinating aspects is its long development history. During the Alpha and Beta years, the game evolved at an astonishing pace, with frequent updates introducing new biomes, blocks, creatures, mechanics and world-generation changes. Many longtime players, including myself, remember these early versions with great nostalgia, as each update fundamentally changed how the game was played and explored.

We quickly visit the Chao Garden, and then it's time for the shortest storyline of the game, that being the one of Amy! She's bored of the city and misses her hero, Sonic - and then she gets a bird thrown at her from Eggman's ship, and gets chased by one of his robots! Luckily, she finds Sonic near the casino - and the first thing she wants to do is visit Twinkle Park: cute couples can get in for free.
➜ SONIC ADVENTURE DX: DIRECTOR'S CUT
Originally released in 1998 for the Sega Dreamcast as "Sonic Adventure" and later enhanced as "Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut" for the Nintendo GameCube and PC, the game marks Sonic's successful transition into fully 3D gameplay. Featuring expansive hub worlds, cinematic storytelling and six playable characters with distinct play styles, it became one of the Dreamcast's defining titles and remains a fan favorite among Sonic enthusiasts.
Along the way, players experience interconnected stories from multiple perspectives, each revealing another piece of the larger adventure while exploring memorable locations such as Station Square, Mystic Ruins or Egg Carrier.

At the end of the second world waits another castle! This one introduces the Shy Guy "slaves", fake flowers that attack Yoshi, as well as a new, unique boss: a haunted flower pot! Afterwards, it's time for the second extra stage, which can be described in three words: switches, platforms, PANIC!
Completed stages in this episode:

It's widely regarded as one of the most influential video games ever created.
The adventure begins as Mario receives an invitation to Princess Peach's Castle, only to discover that Bowser has taken over the castle and imprisoned its Power Stars inside magical paintings.

Released in 1996 in Japan and 1997 in Europe as a launch title for the Nintendo 64, Super Mario 64 revolutionized the platforming genre by bringing Mario into fully three-dimensional environments for the very first time! Developed by Nintendo EAD under the direction of mastermind Shigeru Miyamoto, the game introduced free-roaming movement, an analog control scheme and an innovative camera system that became the foundation for countless 3D games that followed. It's widely regarded as one of the most influential video games ever created.
The adventure begins as Mario receives an invitation to Princess Peach's Castle, only to discover that Bowser has taken over the castle and imprisoned its Power Stars inside magical paintings.
