After feeding the 4000, Jesus asked His disciples - “Can’t you see? Can’t you hear? Can’t you remember?”. Often when facing difficulty, we find it hard to hear God’s voice, but remembering what God has done is key to activating our ability to see and hear what He is doing in a particular situation. Remembering His works reminds us of who He is and His faithfulness. Miracles are supposed to point us to God and reveal His nature. We must steward the memories and testimonies of what God has done for us personally, and for His people throughout history. Signs, wonders, and miracles reveal His nature as a good and perfect Father who loves His children. Miracles bring glory to God as people turn and praise Him for what He has done, but more than a moment of praise, these signs must become the lens through which we see life and the situations we face.
