AYN Odin 2 ROCKNIX (Linux CFW) Quick Setup Guide Ironclad COBRA 2025-06-24 | In this video, I'm providing a quick set up guide on how to install ROCKNIX (Linux CFW) on my 2nd Odin 2 max (cold grey) using a micro-SD card. Please note that installing ROCKNIX (on a micro-SD card) will not delete the Android side of your Odin 2, which means once you remove the micro-SD card (that has ROCKNIX on it) from your device, you will still have the Android side. Which Vertical Handheld is Good for You? (RP Classic, RG353VS, RG35XX Plus) Ironclad COBRA 2025-05-29 | In this video, I'm making a quick comparison between these 3 vertical handhelds: Retroid Pocket Classic, Anbernic RG353VS, and Anbernic RG35XX Plus. All these 3 handhelds are good. However, I will try to show briefly the pros and cons of each handheld to make it easier for you (to make a purchase decision) in case you are planning to get one of them. So, it comes down to your priority/personal preference (in terms of price, size, build quality, performance, features…etc.). The RP Classic (Android 14) is the biggest and the most expensive of the bunch, having a full HD (1080p) 4.0-inch OLED display. It has the Snapdragon G1 Gen2 chipset (can play the easy titles from PS2/GC/Wii). The low end comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage whereas the high end comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has hall sensor analogue sticks, active cooling, good build quality, a 5000 mAh battery, and costs $120-130. However, it doesn’t have HDMI out and analogue sticks. The Anbernic RG353VS (Linux) is in the middle of the three with its 3.5-inch IPS display (640 x 480). It has the RK3566 chipset (can play the easy titles from PS1/PSP/Dreamcast/N64). The Linux version comes with 1GB of RAM whereas the Android version comes with 2GB of RAM. It has an HDMI out and a 3200 mAh battery. The Linux version costs $80 while the Android version costs $100. However, the Linux version doesn’t have a touch screen. The Anbernic RG35XX Plus (Linux) is the smallest (most pocketable) and the most affordable of the bunch with its 3.5-inch IPS display (640 x 480). It has the Allwinner H700 chipset (can play less easy titles from PS1/PSP/Dreamcast/N64). It also has HDMI out, 1GB of RAM, and a 3300 mAh battery. It costs around $50. However, it doesn’t have analogue sticks. RETROFLAG GPi CASE 2 Setup (Recalbox) & Gameplay (PS1) Ironclad COBRA 2025-05-28 | In this video, I'm sharing a quick setup of my RETROFLAG GPi CASE 2 (with CM4), showcasing how to mount the CM4 into the case, installing Recalbox, with a short PS1 gameplay. I’m using CHD files for my PS1 roms. This chipset can play up to PS1/PSP/Dreamcast/N64 (the easy/2D titles). Best Handheld in the $200 Range (RP4 Pro, RP5, ACE) Ironclad COBRA 2025-01-24 | In this video, I'm making a quick comparison between these 3 handhelds: Retroid Pocket 4 Pro, Retroid Pocket 5, and GameForce ACE. All these 3 handhelds are in the $200 price range, and they can play until PS2/GC/Wii (most titles, not all). However, I will try to show briefly the pros and cons of each handheld to make it easier for you (to make a purchase decision) in case you are planning to get one of them. The RP4 Pro (Android 13) is the smallest of the bunch, having a 4.7-inch IPS screen, which makes it more pocketable and portable. It has the Dimensity D1100 chipset (can play up to PS2/GC/Wii) which is similar to ACE’s performance. It also has hall sensor analogue sticks, active cooling, good build quality, a 5000 mAh battery, and costs $175. The RP5 (Android 13) is the best of the three with its 5.5-inch OLED borderless/bezel less screen and compact size. It has the Snapdragon 865 chipset which performs better than the RP4 Pro and ACE (more PS2/GC/Wii titles). It also has dual boot option (Android/Linux), hall sensor analogue sticks, active cooling, good build quality, a 5000 mAh battery, and costs $219 (best price-to-performance ratio). The GameForce ACE (Android 13) is the biggest of the bunch with its 5.5-inch IPS screen. GameForce ACE ROCKNIX (Linux CFW) Quick Setup Guide Ironclad COBRA 2025-01-22 | In this video, I'm providing a quick set up guide on how to install ROCKNIX (Linux CFW) on my GameForce ACE. OGU (ODROID Go Ultra) Batocera v40 Quick Setup Guide Ironclad COBRA 2025-01-07 | In this video, I'm providing a quick set up guide on how to install Batocera v40 on my OGU (ODROID Go Ultra). Batocera v40 quick setup steps: • Download the (current version) v40 image/package for the Odroid Go Ultra (20240802 – zipped file) here: batocera.org/download • Unzip/extract the downloaded zip file to get the disk image file • You need to flash the image onto your eMMC (not on a micro-SD card)• Turn on your OGU while simultaneously holding the L2+R2. Keep holding L2+R2 until you see the Linux penguin and the ‘recovery mode’ in red• Connect your device to your PC with a USB-C cable. Open balenaEtcher or Rufus (I use Rufus), select the extracted image, select the OGU as the target device• Once done, disconnect/remove your device from your PC, reboot your OGU (F3+F6 – press bottom right right & left left together), it will boot into Batocera, shutdown• Before copying the roms & bios, you need to format the micro-SD card, insert the micro-SD card in your device (label facing up), go to ‘system settings’, make sure the ‘storage device’ is on ‘any external’ (which is your micro-SD card), then go to ‘frontend developer options’, click on ‘format a disk’, chose your micro-SD card size (that will show) in ‘device to format’, choose ‘EXT4’ for ‘file system’, and click ‘format now’, reboot so Batocera can create the rom folder structure on your micro-SD card • When you insert your micro-SD card back in your Windows PC, Windows will not read/recognize Linux files (Batocera), therefore, we will not be able to transfer the roms and bios files from your Windows PC to your micro-SD card, instead we will use WinSCP app (FTP/SFTP client) to access your micro-SD card via your Wi-Fi network• Before copying roms and bios, make sure your ‘storage device’ shows your micro-SD card (size) • Set up a new session in WinSCP (while your device in on), write your device’s IP address (you can get it from the ‘network settings’ on your device) in the ‘Host name’, write ‘root’ for username and ‘linux’ for password, click ‘log in’ and say ‘yes’ to the ‘warning – potential security breach’ • Once you are inside your device (wirelessly), go to the ‘root directory’, then to ‘userdata’, where you can find your ‘roms’ & ‘bios’ folders to transfer/copy your roms and bios• To add more themes, go to Updates & Downloads – Themes (download as many as you wish)• To add box art, you can use Scarper (you need to set up a Screen Scraper account) • To exit a game: start+select Batocera website: batocera.org Batocera Wiki: wiki.batocera.org Adding roms/bios to Batocera: wiki.batocera.org/add_games_bios#adding_roms Batocera Discord: discord.com/invite/ndyUKA5 If you enjoyed the video, feel free to like, subscribe, and become a patron.
