A deviation from current rollercoaster uploads, a wee run over some fun roads in Cumbria (voted the most difficult/dangerous in the UK) back in August 2022 after visiting my recently widowed mum after I lost my beautiful dad. I was en-route home to Coldstream in the Scottish Borders (the very northeast of the borders, working as I did at the most northerly point of England at the time at England's most northerly steam railway). I fancied a long interesting drive home but didn't combine with the Heartside Pass as I've recorded previously as that'd just take too long... or did I, without filming it, and just can't remember? - I did take the old Yeti over Heartside once so this was probably indeed the day.
Anyroad, recorded for some reason at 24fps and sped up 25% to 30fps for better viewing, with sound replaced by the following track by Kevin MacLeod as the camera mount noise on the source files was nasty...

Max +3.3G, -0.7G and 0.7G lateral for short durations (mostly floater air with a slight kick, laterals mostly less than 0.5G). Geometry straight from the mind, a smoother modern profile with a hint of old style thrill but could be refined further. Structure autogenerated for basic representation and transfer/storage system not yet modelled (transfer would be the final straight before the station). I have a different station/storage layout in mind if I find the time to modify.Giant Dipper with added park rides - NoLimits Coaster simAutistic Adventures by Steam832020-05-10 | I played with adding some flat rides for atmosphere, and tried to modify the terrain for a sea or lake shore. Failed at the latter but you get to see the rides as the sun goes down and you get a night ride on the Dipper. :)Giant Dipper - NoLimits 2 classic coaster concept drawn on CADAutistic Adventures by Steam832020-05-03 | A classic out & back coaster with a bit of a twist (quite literally). Profile first drawn on 2D CAD and hand-plotted in NL2 editor tracing the plan overlayed. The geometry I drew works very close to as envisaged regarding dynamics - 3.3G in the pullouts and -0.5G max negative, mostly floater hovering around 0G.
3D modeling is needed to build a custom Art Deco station with separate left-hand loading and unloading platforms and an illuminated tower, and to fix the auto-generated supporting structure which does funny things in places as do the tunnels, they are too wide - but as a proof of concept in regards to geometry I'm rather happy.
Imagine waiting on the loading platform within the structure of the first drop as a returning train rumbles round the turn after the first brake block section, while another reaches the top of the second lift hill, before thundering down the drop overhead. The rumble in the tunnels; the muffled screams; the clatter of the chain and rollback dogs; the smell of the oil and grease and a location right by the sea... :)
