When i say "there is no afterlife—there is no heaven, or Nirvana, or Brahma, or some cosmic consciousness that you'll become a part of after you die", i should have said Brahman instead of Brahma. Brahma is a creator god that Hindus made up. The word Brahman has various meanings. It can mean a divine universal consciousness, be used as an alternate form of Brahma, refer to several kinds of Indian cattle, etc. I was referring to the universal consciousness definition.Everybody Should Have the Right to DieBurdenedBeing2017-08-06 | We should not be forced to go to a mental hospital if we tell someone that we are planning on ending our life or if we try to end our life.
We should have access to information and methods that will allow us to end our life in a relatively painless, peaceful, and dignified way (for example, physician-assisted suicide and voluntary euthanasia).
Even people who are deemed "incompetent" or "not sound of mind" or who want to die for reasons that might not seem good enough to you should have the right to die.
I reluctantly include parents with children who rely on them for support (especially if they don't have severe suffering or a terminal illness). I think they should very seriously consider how it would affect their children if they were to end their life.Dont Like It When Anyone SuffersBurdenedBeing2017-06-11 | All suffering is bad, no matter who experiences it.Strongly Averse to Life and to It Being PropagatedBurdenedBeing2017-05-15 | I don't like life. I don't want anymore sentient beings to be brought into existence and have to experience life and all of its unpleasantness.
I said "my genes" when i was talking about the human body being a vehicle for genes; i probably should have just said "genes". Over 100 trillion microbes are in/on a healthy human body, while there are about 10 trillion human cells. A healthy human body has 150 times more genetic material from microbes than from human origin. On another note, i don't like how the healthcare, insurance, and pharmaceutical industries place such a high priority on profits. They're often more interested in giving money-making medications and doing expensive procedures than actually helping patients. Oftentimes the medications and procedures don't help and/or make things worse.
And for a lot of health problems there are no known cures. Some are very hard to even manage or relieve.
It should also be pointed out that even though i find knowing about what's going on in the world burdensome, i would rather know about it than ignore it and pretend like everything is okay.Stop Getting Pushed Around by Life by Not Making More LifeBurdenedBeing2017-04-21 | Know this: Antinatalism is a philosophical position that assigns a negative value to birth. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antinatalism
