Loading a Maule M7 to gross weight. Backcountry Aviation 2013-12-20 | Because of a shipping snafu we ended up having to pack our 31" bushwheels in our Maule on the way to pick up our Carbon Cub for a camping trip. volume wise, it was by far and away the most we have put in the plane. I really didn't think it was all going to fit, but it did with a little room to spare. And we were still under gross by a smidge.

How much stuff can you fit in a carbon cub? Backcountry Aviation 2012-05-18 | This is what we bring for a two or three night trip. We have lightweight backpacker type gear, but we still bring a cooler and have the luxury of thick camp pads and full pillows. We are pretty much at gross (1320 lbs) with 2.5 hours of fuel. Candidly we could bring the weight down for more fuel, but we find this works for most missions

Trying out the new Carbon Cubs short field capabilities on Delores Point. Backcountry Aviation 2011-10-25 | Some friends and I were going to explore some long abandoned Strips, but the Husky crapped an engine so we ended up hanging out on Delores Point till we figured out what to do. The strip is about 7200' high, so density altitude for most of these videos was well in the High 8000 range or possibly 9000'. It didn't seem to matter though, 200 ft was about all it needed for Landing or Takeoff at gross.

Maule M7 Landing on a steep uphill section of a race track! Backcountry Aviation 2010-12-11 | My buddy took me driving on his race track. He took me around and scared the crap out of me and then I got to scare myself. In return I took him up in the plane and tried to scare him. I don't think he scares very easily since he was laughing like crazy. Its hard to tell, but it is a very steep hill, and to make matters worse, it was with a 22 kts crosswind.
