Shigesatogou AMV - Dont You Back Down Now sinnohanvulpix edits 2025-09-17 | When I discovered that the late James Carter Cathcart had an album released in 2009, filled with absolute bops that very few people know about, I knew I needed to show them some much-deserved love. One of my favourites was this song, and because James was the voice of Gary, listening to it made me imagine Gary setting Ash and Goh up together. Needless to say, I knew I had to make this into an AMV, so that's what I did!The story basically starts in an alternate universe where Gary meets Goh and immediately senses the chemistry between him and Ash. Gary starts by trying to encourage Ash to confess his feelings, but Ash only daydreams about confessing instead of actually doing it, so Gary tries to encourage Goh next. Goh does try to confess, but Ash is oblivious as usual, so Gary pushes Goh to try harder by teasing them, then making him jealous by being friendly with Ash. Realizing Gary's intentions, Goh tries again a few times before finally getting his feelings across, and he gets the answer he had been looking for. Goh and Gary celebrate with a fist bump right before Ash takes Goh on a trip to Alola, and Goh has Gary to thank for pushing him in the right direction.Also, if you're wondering why I didn't add any lyrics, it's because I couldn't find the lyrics for this song posted anywhere online... Liko and Amethio AMV - Stand sinnohanvulpix edits 2025-09-10 | I know I said in my most recent community post that I probably won't be making another Horizons AMV until the series ended, but I wanted to at least make this one to help myself process what's going on in the series right now and see it in a more positive light. Even though certain parts of the series are still triggering for me, namely a certain Explorer who framed the Rising Volt Tacklers and ruined Amethio's life, knowing that everyone affected is doing their best to take back what's rightfully theirs helps ease some of that stress for me. The poor little monkey went through so much before he ended up with Ash, and some of that trauma still lingered, which I believe was part of the reason why Chimchar couldn't control Blaze at first. I've noticed that the Lugia arc from the Johto anime have a lot of parallels to Pokemon XD, with the focus on Lugia and the artificially manipulated Pokemon that Ash and Ritchie must battle in order to save it. That, along with Ritchie's resemblance to the player character in XD, was what made me decide to start that let's play. I like to headcanon that they eventually reunited and started traveling together again, but during that time of separation, I can see them both looking at the stars and reminiscing on their time together. Hunter AMV - its time to go (please read description) sinnohanvulpix edits 2024-12-18 | This song has always been a comforting reminder to me that you don't always need to tough out a stressful situation. Sometimes it's healthier to walk out, especially when it’s a relationship that’s causing more harm than good. I think that Hunter's story conveys this message especially well, as it was thanks to him leaving the Emperor's Coven that he finally made quality friends who cared about him, and was able to start healing from his trauma 🥺Also, this is likely going to be my last The Owl House AMV for a while. I haven't been getting as much inspiration for them recently, partially because I've noticed that most of the TOH AMVs have barely been getting any comments lately, and half of the comments they do get are just random facts about the songs used.
