Legendary jazz drummer Peter Erskine, part of the trio on her “Song of The Heart” recording says, “[it’s] the freshest vocal project which I’ve ever been involved in, and it’s one of my favorite tapes of the past year.” Bill Evans bassist Marc Johnson also appears on this recording and adds, “This recording deserves to be heard by as many people as possible. Guerrero’s work as a musician and composer can also be heard in movies and on television. JEREMY SISKIND: Jeremy Siskind is an American pianist, composer, and educator known for his innovative blending of jazz and classical music. He is a two-time laureate of the American Pianists Association and the winner of the 2012 Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition. Siskind has performed jazz and classical music at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, in Japan, Switzerland, Thailand, Cyprus, England, Lebanon, India, Tunisia, France, and China. He has written 13 publications with Hal Leonard, including the landmark instructional books Playing Solo Jazz Piano and Jazz Piano Fundamentals. Siskind teaches at California’s Fullerton College, chairs the National Conference for Keyboard Pedagogy’s “Creativity Track,” and spreads peace through music in places like Lebanon, Tunisia, and Thailand with the non-profit organization, Jazz Education Abroad.
