However not all the time. Whenever you’ve been seeing videos it’s during the time I’m furloughed. It happens to every railroader but it gives me time to actually take pictures of trains. I was just furloughed again so I went to chase the Holiday Express at the Black Hills Central RR, also known as the 1880 Train, in Hill City, SD.

After 15 weeks I became a certified BNSF conductor. I worked for a couple months then the furlough boot snipped me out. So until I get called back, I now have time to chase trains.

Frontier Days Train 2018 - Denver to Cheyenne RailBlazer5371 2018-07-29 | I was one of the many Railfans who followed UP844 on its journey from Denver to Cheyenne. This was my first year ever chasing it on its entire trip. However, I had to drive home to South Dakota that evening so I didn’t chase it back. I am glad I didn’t. As you all know, there was a tragedy which occurred on its return trip. As 844 returned to Denver, it struck and killed a person. Amidst the negative, here’s the positive of the trip. My weekend started in Denver at Blue Mountain.
