Lebua at State Tower in Bangkok, Thailand: Three Bedroom Executive Suite Scrovegni1305 2013-09-11 | I made this video two years ago, so technically it is my very first hotel room "walk through" video. It's the hotel featured in The Hangover 2. Though the lighting could be a lot better (we had just arrived and still had some lights off in the room), I think it still gets the point across. The suite had three bedrooms (a King room, a Queen room, and a two Twin room), two and a half bathrooms, four balconies, and came in at a grand total of 2,863 square feet. Best of all, with five guys splitting the bill and a very good deal on the room in low season...it was only $100 per guy, per night. I spent $400 for four nights here, and the overall total was only $2,000!! That deal also included free breakfast at Cafe Mozu for all five of us each morning, and free drinks in the Ocean 52 bar! Not bad!
Andaz West Hollywood: The Andaz Suite Queen (Room 319) Scrovegni1305 2013-08-12 | At 800 square feet, this room was absolutely ideal for a party of four. The two full bathrooms were a life saver (two young girls and their mother, plus me, is an impossible "one bathroom" scenario). The Geneva boxes were great for all the iPhones in the room, the suite was nice and spacious, the Sunset Strip location is excellent (even though you still have to drive in L.A. as it's a useless city for public transportation), and the views are quite good. A couple of minor drawbacks: No coffee maker in the room (though complimentary coffee is available in the lobby) and no bathtubs. Overall the hotel was wonderful as was the suite. The only hotel I have reviewed thus far (as of August 12, 2013) on YouTube that I would rank higher is the Park Hyatt Washington, and this room was larger and just as impressive in some ways. This is also a good hotel for spotting celebrities. Back when it was a Hyatt House it got the nickname "Riot Hyatt" and hosted every famous rock band you can think of. While we were staying there, the boy band One Direction was in the penthouse.

It was quite fine for our purposes (two nights prior to an Alaskan cruise). The hotel is nice, well run, "green", and features "Urbane", a restaurant where we had a nice breakfast.

Most of the artifacts, mosaics, and frescoes from Pompeii are on display there, creating a more complete view of the famous lost city. The mosaics are rightfully famous, but the terrific condition of the frescoes blew me away.

The Jordaan neighborhood (where the Anne Frank house is) was my favorite section of Amsterdam as it had a small town feel, within a big city. The Red Light District lived up to the hype, though I doubt I would spend much time there if I were a local. And yes, I visited a "coffee shop".
