Venice Police Violence - Street Performers Harassed and Arrested for no apparent reason D Domm 2014-07-13 | Venice Beach July 12 2014. Please share this with your friends - the only way for things to change is first to bring awareness to it. So this is what happened today. For a little context, we were watching an amazing street performance at Venice Beach by the LA Breakers and Skill Methodz (Part of the performance here youtube.com/watch?v=GUDpJVun0hI) and they had just finished telling the children the importance of taking care of your body and not messing with drugs and alcohol as well as reminding us adults the the children are our FUTURE. They also were talking about the importance of coming together with all different races and and religions and creating a positive environment and happiness instead of perpetuating a culture of racism, war and violence. For reasons unknown this is what followed. I hope this video makes it into the hands of someone who needs it as evidence.
Amazing Street Performance before the Police ruined everyones day D Domm 2014-07-16 | I wanted to reup this video that someone filmed of the performance before the police felt the need to unnecessarily interrupt and end the show - arresting 2 performers. I want you to see the front row of children sitting on the rugs - I was sitting behind them. They call all the kids up to sit in front and I can only imagine how the parents had to tell their children why that happened when no one could think of any reason other than the police sometimes are violent and arrest people for no reason.
