Deaths cost somewhere in the realm of 8-10m, if I don't have RoD on (4.9m to reclaim, 6.3m w/o reduction, plus the yak dies and gf 3m+ in super brews). Many attempts I would tele out if I failed to get 4 crystals. Got to the last phase 4 times, the first of which I got him to 9k and couldn't get him lower, so I started bringing titan switch - also got rid of the vampyrism scrimshaw in favor of the arma book for the entire fight which definitely was the correct move. It does an insane amount of damage, and didn't even need the titan on the successful kill! Legacy Kalphite King Solo! (first ever???) Matt Plays 2019-03-31 | This one was great, and suspenseful! A few things to note -*Phoenix necklaces aren't required - but I would still use them even if they didn't negate the TMW bleed*Yak kills are WAY easier than titan kills, and titan doesn't seem to make much of a difference. Having plenty of portents makes tanking the bleed significantly easier, as does using pack mammoth scroll - space is very limited when using a titan*I wouldn't bother doing this without penance - when your spirit shield drains your entire prayer bar after green, it is easy to get comboed out while you are taking 2ks from the TMW bleed*Range phase is the only phase you will take two greens, with the second one leaving you still on phoenix necklace cooldown - this is where the portents come in mighty handy*As long as you don't panic and are relaxed, keep your at 10k (or above) and prayer points at full, it is possible to get pretty consistent solos using Legacy mode*Using a lava whip special on KK after the short stun + 2 autos will stun KK, but it won't skip the green (and d spear/zammy spear requires the monster to be a 1x1)*You need Trimmed Masterwork and an Arcane/Divine/Elysian to utilize this method*Using a 2h weapon might be better, since there is more time for you to drink potions in between autos*Using vengeance right before the green attack works, but the reflect damage only hit 50 (500 eoc) - it's possible that the hitsplat was covered up by other hitsplats*I've had my statius' warhammer since before the revenant gear rework - it left me with a 99.9% t78 hammer that can't be upgraded or augmentedSongs Used:FiFtY VinC - Way of the WarriorE.S. Blast from the Past - Drops from 150 Nex Solos Pre-EOC (original Nex) Matt Plays 2016-04-18 | Hope you guys really enjoy this, it took me many hours to put this together (over 150 clips edited). I haven't been active on runescape, and therefore haven't been making videos. Mostly I play league of legends and planetside 2 now.Apologies for the resolution of the video clips changing during the video - I recorded these with bandicam (before I got fraps), so every time I started it up the window size was slightly different. Jagex also changed how the game is viewed twice on me!Also, I was really unlucky with effigies - got more d meds than I did effigies. The drop rate was supposed to be like 1/6 or something, but I hardly got any.A little section about times and how long these solos took - depending on luck, a typical kill with dreadnips on cruor would take between 45 and minutes. Using t3 sharpshooter, I was able to get kills ~35-40 mins with a LOT of luck. Using south wall the time for cruor to die would be eliminated, and kills as fast as 25 mins could be achieved. Chaotic maul with full torva was super effective on her for the south wall method.My video also tells the story of my progression in skill, as well as some of the significant events that happened to me between 2012 and 2013 (and no, my name has nothing to do with these). Since my video clips don't have the date of creation, I will use the video timeline to share what I experienced!0:00 - One of my first five nex solos that I completed!0:37 - My first Nex drop solo, kill #61:54 - The first time I brought vls and gano top to do blood phase - I was always experimenting and trying new things, this method wasn't worth the cost of the vls but it was a bit quicker kills and super fun!1:57 - My second Nex drop solo, around kill #202:31 - Started Nexing in void and arma top because a former friend of mine stole my nexing gear. Never had any problems lending to him in the past, but this time he decided that he didn't want to give it back (and even tried to say he did, but someone else was on my account LOL). Got him blacklisted from every pvm clan as a result of it. I found out void solos were quite a bit faster, but you use more supplies.5:39 - Tried integrating claw specs into my rotation, not sure why I didn't continue this as the kill time was slightly faster - it was probably due to safety of securing the kill and lack of inventory spaces while bringing melee equipment.6:20 - Started bringing goliath gloves to finish off low hp minions, as they had a very fast attack speed. Nothing more frustrating than a ton of 0's in a row with the slow ccb attack speed!6:43 - Finally got enough to buy my pernix body back! This helped tremendously, and I used way less supplies each trip because of it.7:07 - I learned how to use the south wall method, saving tons of supplies every trip as well as decreasing kill time even further.7:20 - Started bringing royal crossbow for minions, my new favorite weapon!8:17 - Made enough to buy my complete pernix set back, as well as an ely! Started bringing melee every kill8:28 - Jagex either released resizeable mode, or I started using it, can't remember which :D9:12 - Jagex released that annoying bar at the top that everyone hated and it took them ages to remove it. If I recall correctly it was on the client as well, but not sure about that.9:19 - Started outright tanking smoke and shadow, then blood and ice with south wall method, sometimes even outright tanking zaros phase (because royal crossbow was so powerful at Nex). Started replacing my brew flasks with vials to save gp on supplies.10:00 and onwards - Started packing 3-4 spec restores every trip and spamming claw specs every time they were up - also removed range gear for claw specs to increase accuracy.10:45 - Started soloing on occasion in german worlds because of the disgusting bot lag in english servers.11:11 - Broke my 111 kill dry streak!11:50 - Started bringing stat hammer, it was pretty good but not worth it just like the vls :D12:36 - Another drop!
