After opening with a two-over-par 72, the American moved through the gears over the weekend and eventually saw off home favourite Charley Hull by a comfortable margin.
It handed Vu a second major title following her breakthrough at the Chevron Championship in April.

From finishing 4th at his first Open as an amateur to becoming world no.1, Rose has produced some of his best performances at the world's oldest golf tournament.
In 2018, 20 years after his glittering Open debut, Rose made a huge move on Day Three of The 147th Open to put him in contention of getting his hands on the Claret Jug.
Scoring 64 on the notoriously difficult course at Carnoustie deserves to be celebrated.

The Spaniard has finished runner-up twice at The Open, in 2007 and 2014.
In 2014, Garcia was one of the front runners to win the Claret Jug, battling hard to remain within the top three throughout The 143rd Open from Royal Liverpool.
El Niño was playing at the very top of his game, sinking 18 birdies and two eagles, only dropping seven shots throughout the tournament. This consistency saw Garcia end in joint second place alongside Rickie Fowler, as Rory McIlroy earned the Claret Jug.
Sergio Garcia showed the quality that would eventually lead to him winning the 2017 Masters. We celebrate the best moments of his strong performance in 2014.

Mark McNulty came into the 119th Open having played in the tournament nine times, failing to make the top 10 at all. This was due to change thanks to an incredible final-day performance from McNulty.
Going into the Sunday round, the man representing Zimbabwe was sitting in tied for 20th place on the leaderboard, meaning that a much sought-after top-10 finish was unlikely - but not impossible.
McNulty thrived on a day when those around him seemed to struggle with the course. Playing some outstanding shots, he impressively climbed the leaderboard. By the end of the round, he had scored 65 to join Payne Stewart in joint second place on 13 under par - but some way off Sir Nick Faldo who was awarded the Claret Jug.
A great final-day performance, the peak of Mark McNulty's Open Championship story.

The Swede was only making his second appearance at The Open as he arrived at Turnberry. Little did he know, he was about to take part in one of the closest fought Opens in history.
Pernevik made a strong start and was a top contender for the Claret Jug throughout. Over the four rounds, he posted rounds of 68, 66, 68 and 67 for a score of 269, eleven under par.
Unfortunately for the Scandinavian, this was not enough to win The Open. That honour went to Nick Price, who triumphed by just one shot.
An incredible showing from a much-beloved player and his best moments are here!

The Spaniard grew into the tournament, making rounds of 70, 67, 69 and 68 as he showed why he was a two-time Masters champion, by playing great shots and competing against a strong field of adversaries.
Ollie was only bettered by runner-up John Cook and the winner of the Claret Jug, Sir Nick Faldo.
The 121st Open was a high point in Olazabal's Championship story and these are the best moments.

The American had already made three appearances at The Open and was The 1997 Masters champion before The 127th Open in 1998.
At Royal Birkdale Woods made a strong start and continued to show his class throughout the tournament, consistently remaining near the top of the leaderboard. This earned him a well-deserved third-place finish, just one shot behind Brian Watts and eventual winner Mark O'Meara.
This is the Best Of Tiger Woods in 1998.

In 1992, Sir Nick Faldo won his third Open title. A year later Faldo arrived at Royal St George's for The 122nd Open in a bid to regain the title.
The Englishman battled to get himself within touching distance of winning a fourth Open but was narrowly beaten by eventual champion Greg Norman.
These are the best moments from Sir Nick's spirited title defence from 1993.

In 1990, St Andrews played host to The 119th Open and Stewart continued his impressive run of form.
In his first three rounds the American shot a hattrick of 68s placing him in tied second going into the final round. Unfortunately for the man adorned in the colours of the American flag, he was unable to catch the eventual winner, Sir Nick Faldo. However, he did secure his second runners-up finish at The Open Championship.
Let's go back to the 1990s and relive the greatness that was Payne Stewart.

It was a challenge to get an eagle on the course at Hoylake, but a select, talented group of players conquered the greens and sunk an eagle putt.

That was about to change for the 'Leftie' at Royal Troon. The American had a slow start, playing 73 in the first round, but made incredible improvements from the second round onwards.
He posted rounds of 66, 68 and 68 to end the tournament in third on nine under par - only beaten by Ernie Els and eventual winner, Todd Hamilton.
This Open Championship was also special thanks to an iconic addition to the commentary team. Seve Ballesteros was in the booth providing a unique insight into the action.

One of the most impressive in the first round was German's Martin Kaymer. The two-time major winner (PGA Championship 2010, U.S. Open 2014) made five birdies and didn't drop a shot on course to finishing the round on 65, five under par.
This early performance put him tied for second with Patrick Reed, as they both trailed Phil Mickelson.

The 145th Open played at Royal Liverpool was an opportunity for Reed to show the world that he was major winner material.
In the opening round, the American did just that! Posting a round of 65, five-under-par, putting him tied 2nd alongside Martin Kaymer and trailing Phil Mickelson by three strokes.
Sinking an eagle chip at the third, followed by five birdies through the round Patrick Reed put in a performance of the highest quality.

Back in 2004 at The 133rd Open, Royal Troon saw Tiger in search of his second Open victory (following his triumph in 2000). By this point, Woods had been World No.1 for over 1800 days, so expectations were high.
The American was watched closely throughout the tournament, but he was unable to claim victory - finishing tied for 9th, alongside Canada's Mike Weir, while Todd Hamilton won the major after a dramatic playoff with Ernie Els.
These are the best moments from Tiger Woods at The Open in 2004.

Having already made a name for himself in the golfing world with his laid-back approach and big hitting, Daly came into The 121st Open at Muirfield with a major championship win already under his belt (The 1991 PGA Championship).
The question was - how would 'Long John' fair on a links course?
It may not have been a dream Open debut for the American, but in just a few years he'd clinch the Claret Jug for himself.
