He made it clear to me that he did not want to live in a state where he would be completely dependent on others or unable to enjoy the quality of life he wants hat he trust me with the responsibility of carrying out his wishes.In the middle of the night, when the world is quiet and, as many believe, the angels are closest to the Earth, I went to Tufts medical Center in Boston to sit at my father's bedside. I hope that in the silence of that hour, I might find clarity, guidance, and the strength to make the decisions that he had trusted to me.Instead, despite being his healthcare proxy, and despite the gravity of the moment, I was denied access and ultimately escorted from the hospital.This video captures those events as they unfold it. I am sharing it, not out of anger, but to preserve the truth, on my father's memory, and allow others to witness what took place.My father later passed away.
