Thank you for your patience while we navigate this crazy thing called life and for still being here. ;) Singapore’s Jurong Bird Park, now called Bird Paradise, has moved to a new site, so we thought we’ll make a cheeky little video showing you how the new place looks, along with its many cheeky inhabitants! Opening on 8 May 2023 at Mandai Wildlife Reserve in Singapore, Bird Paradise is one of Asia’s largest bird parks. The 17-hectare park is home to 3,500 birds from 400 species, of which 24 per cent of species are threatened. Designed to encourage discovery at every turn, Bird Paradise welcomes visitors into immersive and naturalistic mixed-species habitats in eight large walk-through aviaries that reflect different biomes of the world from dense African rainforests, South American wetlands, Southeast Asian paddy fields, to Australian dry eucalypt forests, and more. Scenic Hiking Trails & Kampong Ruins | Thomson Nature Park Walking Tour | Singapore Beixin & Robin 2021-06-01 | With travel temporarily halted, we decided to explore the hidden gems within Singapore. Join us as we explore Thomson Nature Park, the 50-hectare buffer park unique for its rich cultural heritage as the site of a former Hainan Village. Thomson Nature Park is also home to a rich array of biodiversity and is notably a key conservation site for the critically endangered Raffles’ Banded Langur.There are five trails within this park: Ruins and Figs Trail (1.50km), Streams and Ferns Trail (1.40km), Rambutan Trail (0.40km), Langur Trail (0.35km), and Macaque Trail (0.15km). Although we weren't fortunate enough to spot the elusive Raffles' Banded Langur on our multiple trips here, we did manage to catch wild boars and plenty of cheeky macaques.May our videos be a form of escapism and source of zen for you, and encourage you to appreciate the little, simple things in life. First Wilderness Survival and Outdoor Cooking Experience in Nature | Pulau Ubin | Singapore Beixin & Robin 2021-05-01 | When we read about Beyond Expeditions' Back-to-Basics: Woodcraft & Bushcraft Experience, we knew we had to sign ourselves up! The day started with a short boat ride to Pulau Ubin, an island off eastern Singapore, where we spent a rejuvenating day away from civilisation. We picked up basic bushcraft (wilderness survival skills) from the super knowledgeable Scott, took turns to saw and chop fallen firewood, learnt some woodcraft from the talented Frederick, and made ourselves a scrumptious aglio olio lunch over open fire.What a day it was, and what a workout too! Walking amongst the trees | The Southern Ridges Walking Tour | Singapore Beixin & Robin 2020-12-16 | With travel temporarily halted, we decided to explore the hidden gems within Singapore. Join us as we explore the local nature attractions nestled within the Southern Ridges, avoiding the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle that is metropolitan Singapore. Our hike begins at the break of dawn at Henderson Waves, an award-winning architectural work of art designed by RSP Architects Planners & Engineers (Pte) Ltd and IJP Corporation Ltd, UK. The tallest pedestrian bridge in Singapore, Henderson Waves stands 36 meters above Henderson Road and spans a length of 274 meters. Next, we venture to the peak of Mount Faber Park and look out to stunning views of Singapore's heartlands. Then, we explore the myriad of pink bougainvillea flowers at Terrace Garden, a popular spot in Telok Blangah Hill Park.
